Honestly, Mash not being with us is what allowed Ritsuka to develop his/her own personality in the EOR chapters, her returning to the plot is not much of a problem.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.

Random observation; the first four Lostbelts all refer to a character, primarily the main enemy, in their subtitle in a contrast to the Singularities which all referred to an ally (eventual in Babylonia's case).

"Princess of the Land of Beasts" -> Anastasia
"Man of the Unquenchable Flame" -> Napoleon/Surtr (yes Napoleon is literally called by that epithet in-game, but Surtr could be considered his counterpart in almost all aspects and also he's a literal flame dude)
"Crimson Beauty Under the Moon" -> Yu Meiren
"The Final Obsidian God" -> Arjuna Alter

But 5 and 6 switch it up for some kind of event while still possibly referring to a person (the Day the Gods are Shot Down/When a Star is Born), so I wonder if LB 7 will also go with this second subtitle theming

I hope Lostbelt 5 doesn’t make us go full Man of Steel on Atlantis, with us as the Kryptonians.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.

[up][up]I can see "unquenchable flame" part in Sutr, but the "nice guy" part not so much.

Is Surtr the enormous giant in the 4th anniversary trailer?

ALRIGHT. Went through pretty much every one of the training things.

LET'S SUMMON.

Okay, first summoning gives me Jekyll, Ibaraki-Douji, and Siegfried in new Servants. Not too bad, I guess?

Second summoning, an Avenger that rides a giant wolf, then Gille de Rais, then Billy the Kid.

Using tickets, got a Lancer by the name of Houshouzin Inshun, the only Servant I got that I hadn't gotten the first time.

Would First Hassan be a good reason to use up all my Quartz to try and get him?

I mean, Surtr's thing was his connection to Ophelia opening up an avenue to empathize and form a genuine bond but oops his worldview screwed over Ophelia's first impression from their initial meeting because he thought hopping along in some dude's body and burnination would make a good present

Ophelia tripped the wrong flag somewhere in her otome adventure and got a bad ending

[up][up][up][up]Ibaraki and Avenger of Shinjuku (you'll learn his real name during that chapter) are a good haul.

Ibaraki is more self-sufficient and more utilitarian than most berserkers, able to increase her defense, her attack and regenerate her own health. She's particularly useful for those bosses that keep buffing themselves thanks to her buff remove NP.

The Avenger is more focused on dealing heavy crit damage, with a fairly heavy-hitting NP (and he'll get a huge buff in 2021) with utility to cleanse enemy buffs and give them an attack debuff at the same time (the instant death stuff will almost never matter, enemy servants are for all intents and purposes immune to instant death).

Can't go wrong with building them up.

[up][up]Daddy Hassan is undeniably awesome, but in truth, he's not that strong. His kit is that of a berserker, but without the class advantages that come with it (in fact, the assassin class is a detriment). Only continue rolling if you still think it's worth it.

Inshun's also really good, like Saber Gilles in that both are designed to buff themselves up, then deal massive damage in one go. Unlike Saber Gilles, however, Inshun's actually pretty good at what he does, so he's not a bad Lancer to have, though I'd still recommend Cu over him. Ibaraki and Avenger of Shinjuku are both very good Servants, Siegfried less so, though he still has his occasional niche. Out of everyone in that haul of yours I'd say Ibaraki's the best Servant there, and most absolutely not just because she's NP5 and Level 100 Bond 10 for me.

Edit: What [up] said regarding Gramps. He's strong, but his insta-death niche is fairly useless; so roll for him if you want, but he's not an essential Assassin that you need to have. At least he has pretty damn good NP generation on his Quick and Arts cards, as well as quite a bit of potential burst damage with his triple Buster deck.

First Hassan is one of the strongest assassins in the game. Unless there is a servant that you want much more in near future, gramps is easily worth it.

Only problem with his banner is lack of enticing 4*. I prefer to roll for banners with servants who would cushion my inevitable failure to get 5*.

I'll do a 30 summon one more time to try and get him.

Nope, didn't get him. Got Hektor and EMIYA instead.

[up]x5 as an otome and shoujo fan, Ophelia's situation in LB 2 is just super morbidly hilarious to me. Its the equivalent of trying to trip all the events of one character but you constantly make mistakes and neglect the others so things go pear shaped and suddenly you get locked in the house with no way to escape...

Also does anyone have a solid idea of what captain's personality is like? I know he's more of the Ko Gil brand of child rather than a Paris but I don't know that much about him admittedly despite how much I like him

Ophelia got her bad ending featuring Mashu because she got more points with her before LB 2 and couldn't build up enough of a relationship with anyone else oof

Guda Kshetra

Arjuna Alter: Something or other-Pralaya.
Abigail: Have I been a bad child!?
Okita: Even the Abi-chan I had faith in!?

Well at least Emiya's a good Archer to have. You'd need to finish both of his Strengthening Quests to really get the most out of him, since Clairvoyance and Magecraft are pretty bleh on their own, but once you get their upgrades he becomes one heck of a powerhouse.

… You know, I sort of realized how weird whole Space Ishtar is considering Ishtar's status as a Pseudo-Servant and the lore of Servant Universe. Is Astarte actually a Rinface? Did she just happen to turn into this when everyone became Servants?

I am thinking too much about this.

[up]x6 Archer or assassin? If archer, congrats, you have one of the most reliable and versatile 4* damage dealer in the game (after his rate ups). Can crit, can farm, can buff himself up to nuke a field, can evade.

Re: Captain, he's a Lostbelt character.

I'm pretty sure the joke is that Little Nemo and Captain Nemo share the same name so time for an opportunity to reference obscure Japanese film about the former while still keeping the core personality of the latter.

I thought the joke was the timeline for the books he featured in fucked up his age so according to it he's technically a child.

Though really how is he like? He hasn't appeared in any event and I restrain myself from reading translations of the lostbelts even if I spoil myself

Thus far his characterization hasn't progressed much beyond "smart and sarcastic kid".

@Librarian: Emiya's great after his SQ are done.

Hektor... well, if you're lacking a AOE Lancer he does the trick, I suppose, but you can get a much better welfare version in next week's Christmas Rerun, so you know.

He's useless.

It's somewhat reductive, but I think he's pretty similar to Andersen with the whole "fully matured adult stuck in child's body" deal

He's pretty antisocial and standoffish when they first meet him but he warms up a bit to Chaldea by the end of LB 4

Yes, Archer Emiya. Not Assassin-Kiritsugu.

Unless you were talking about that one Assassin that claims to be EMIYA but has completely different skin and no hair.

I've also been able to ascend two Servants, one is Alexander and the other is Cursed Hassan.
