Saying its strange when Mordred is the offspring of brother and sister. At this point, you get used to it.
But that was based on the actual mythology. Nasu only added a magical penis to the relationship. I don't think it was ever mentioned that Gawain had a thing for the king. Then again, Proto-Mordred did and main Mordred was quite charmed by Saber Lily. Maybe a tendency for incest runs in the family or they inherited their interest for Artoria from their mother.
