If it isn't an event nobody will care. Only slots people will really look in are All, Caster and maybe Berserker 95% of the time.
IIRC isn't the team referred to as being from North Africa? INB4 it was just Cleo and Nitocris
Song of the SirensIt's just Africa in the text, I think - sorry, I paraphrased a little. And according to Bradamante's myths, Ruggerio was born in Libya, so after seeing that the game suggested that he had been on the team, I put in the North bit. Because there were like 100 teams, supposedly, so there had to be more contestants from Africa, right?
...Right, DW?
It's been fun.might wanna ask TM for that instead.
Secret SignatureTM: what is a africa?
Alt joke: "We couldn't find any results for Africa. Did you mean Japan instead?"
Song of the SirensAs much as I bitched about wanting Black representation, these guys don't exactly have good track records with dark-skinned people, do they?

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I wouldn't expect much. Wider world knows about Shaka and maybe Musa Keita, but names of Mwindo, Sundiata and Nzinga are empty fart to them. So no recognizability to motivate their inclusion. Not to mention that many people wouldn't appreciate african characters using term 'master'. And since so many people would have such strong connection with african heroes to feel represented by them, TM may feel stifled while developing african heroes.
Also I love that◊ painting.
She: "Ugh, are these theatrics like necessary? It's a fat lizzard, gosh. You're like totally embarrassing me here, man."
I look at Darius and wonder if I even want to see them attempt to make African Servants. As cool as a Shaka Zulu or Anansi Servant would be.
I always wonder why dragons in those medieval/Renaissance paintings are always so small. Like, what exactly is fearsome about a dog-sized lizard? Even if it can breathe fire.

Are we speaking from a global or a Japanese perspective? Because there are a lot of figures I didn't know of or about until FGO. Don't know about the rest of you.
You could make them say something else. Captain, chief, commander, or just boy/girl.
If they can do Geronimo just fine, they can do African heroes well.
The kicker is if TM feels like putting in the work to do it.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. That would be blatant exception and, lacking Watsonian explanation in many cases, could bring audience out of experience. African heroes who fought and suffered from europian expansion would certainly avoid racially sensitive language, but why would heroes from before that era have any reservations from calling Ritsuka a master? What is Mwindo's in universe reason to get squeamish from saying 'master' when just as or even more royal, arrogant and famed heroes don't think much of it? And how about instances when it would be plain hypocritical? How can Mansa Musa, slave trader himself, avoid calling Ritsuka his master without immediately becoming unlikable?
There is no question is they can. Question is if they'll have have fun while doing it.

It's not like they would be any unique in that. Nero calls them praetor/performer/maestro/socio/whatever-people-are-translating-Sousha-as, Tamamo calls them husband, Nightingale calls them commanding officer, etc. It's not difficult to come up a title to go instead of Master and it's not a quirk people tend to question too much.
Heck doesn't Cursed Arm call you Lord Mage?
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes! He does! It's widespread enough that I don't really question it when a Servant uses a mode of address other than "Master" - it doesn't, at least for me, require a specific in-game explanation unless it's something really off-kilter.
After Reindeer and Mommy, what else is new?
Edit: Also, I take a little exception to the fact that someone raised in Lybia apparently doesn't count as "African".
If what you meant was that the legend that spawned the character was of European origin rather than anywhere in the African continent, however, that's something else.

So, out of all the cultures/myths covered by Fate, who would you say lacks a well made Servant?
Wake me up at your own risk.Dinosaurs.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Non-mammals in general.
We should totally have a lost belt with (non-avian) dinosaurs.
i wouldve said the moon but then i remembered CCC exists
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaMaybe Shaka could call us something like Spear Brother or Ally, I can understand apprehension on his part to call us master since his people were on the end of the Englishβs ambitions. (Which makes me think he could have something of a beef with Waver, maybe with the Knights or Boudicca but that might be exaggeration).
@ blueace
Precolumbian America or just Native descended America.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Geronimo also is really not very good as a Servant. His skills aren't very good and his NP is mediocre. Let's get some other American native Servants who are actually decent, maybe some South/Central American Servants who aren't deities. Montezuma or something like that.
Re Fate's sensitivity: We have literally just had an event that stars an Aztec goddess who speaks Spanish
Song of the SirensWho is also white and blonde. And speaks Spanish rather than something native like Quechuan. Your point being?
So should I have Scathach in my Lancer slot or Tamamo? Scathach is at 8/10/6 while Tamamo is at 6/6/6, but Tamamo is NP5. Also should I go with Golden Sumo, Halloween Princess, or Holy Night Supper? All MLB.
