I don't think Avenger was ever just Angra Mainyu, the only classes thus far that have a single representative are Shielder (Galahad) Saver(Budha) and Moon Cancer (BB)

Might be reading too much into it but Evil Quetz having a spider web pattern for her mask stood out since I don't think Quetzalcoatl had any associations with spiders in legend

Maybe it's because I'm still going down from Babylonia's story, but I thought that Quetz's half being split between her kind aspect and her ruthless aspect might make her regain her penchant for what the Aztecs were infamous of doing.
That, and making Christmas creepy would be a reminder of how dire the situation currently is; or maybe we can save that for when the last Losbelts come around next year.

ehh honestly only parts of the actual confrontation when the jig was up were the only legit disturbing things about the whole Nyarly thing
and IIRC, almost immediately after beating her, the next story segment is all about waaaaahhh BB doesn't want her spray tan anymore and everyone acts somewhat blase now that they've beaten her

So, as usual,I am confused about Nasu's worldbuilding.
In Babylonia, Ishtar claims that the gods created humanity as kind of a giant labor force for themselves. Fine, sure. That would suggest that the gods are manifestations of Gaia's laws that predated humanity, and that also makes sense in regard to humanity/Alaya growing independent of Gaia coinciding with the end of the Age of Gods.
But a bunch of sources also state that the gods are given form by the belief and perception of humanity. And we can clearly see in the story that some gods are altered based off humanity's perception of their legend.
So which is it? You can't have it both ways, Nasu. Did the gods create humans or vice versa? Which predates which? Or are there two different sets of gods?

Ok, the bit about the humans being a servant race for the gods is what Mesopotamian mythology believed around their relationship with the gods, with humanity being indirect descendents of Kingu since the clay used to make mankind had Kingu's blood.
The other bit of the gods is, I think, better explained in Extella; honestly, I have my theories but I'd rather wait for the fifth Lostbelt since they can come off as Abrahamic-centric.

Concept Gods came first. Then humans. Then human belief making Gods. A number of which are Bunreis/Echoes/Incarnations of older Gods that predate humans.
