General E3 Thread

E3 is my favorite time of the year. All the pageantry, the anticipation. Hilarious marketing jargon is gonna be spouted off at every turn. If we're lucky, Ubisoft might even try and give us some dank memes!

Also, if it's good then I can talk about some cool-looking new games with my friends, and if it's shit then I can bitch about how much it sucks with my friends.

This is a◊ tentative event schedule. What do we think we'll get from each showing? For Bethesda, it's gotta be more Elder Scrolls Online like it's even still a thing, and then maybe some on that new card game.

Agreed. Maybe Mr. Caffeine will grace us with his presence once more.

And I doubt Bethesda is going to unveil a new ES game, since FO 4 hasn't been out for too long and they haven't finished releasing DLC for it yet. Even if they did ESO, that wouldn't fill an hour timeslot (that is how long these press conferences are, right?). So my wager is that we'll get something new or they'll bring some other franchise back from the dead for better or worse (a la the new Doom).

Speaking of, how many people still play ESO? Did the Unlimited thing and the no-subscription model revamp the game at all?

So it looks like Zelda Wii U is truly the only thing Nintendo will have at E3 or on streams. Here's to hoping people won't just switch to another conference or stream like S Es if they have them around the same time again.

Apparently a bunch of Nintendo fansites are skipping visiting E3 this year due to Nintendo bringing nothing that they can't just get at home so their coverage would be unneeded. They hope SE, Namco, Capcom etc won't have 3DS or Wii U games there because Zelda isn't worth the price of going.

Called it. They would never have a Direct with a bunch of games and then only let the press play one of them.

So it went from not being at E3 at all to being the only thing at E3.

That is fucking weird.

The mainstream press won't even play it probably. Nintendo(like most publishers)holds a secret meeting a few days before where the press can play the demos without the time limit or stress that would be on the show floor along with someone that tells them everything that they are allowed to know about the games(last year's E3 was insane because no one in the press had heard anything about SE's and Sony's big bombshells even at their pre-event). Of course they might not even bother with that this year...

I will say this: If Zelda is the only thing they're showing at the biggest gaming trade show out there this year, we better be getting a Nintendo Space World 2016 or something along those lines.

Persona 5 will be at E3 so expect a english trailer and maybe a NA release date there.

Note: This means Sega of all people will have more games than Nintendo at E3.

Rumor about Prey 2 at the Bethesda conference by a Arkane team that hasn't made one game since they were created a decade ago.

Man, I'm kind of bummed out on E3 this year. The lack of any meaningful Nintendo presence had made me realize that there just aren't any conferences I actually feel like watching. I don't have a PS 4, I'm probably not gonna get an XB 1, and Nintendo is a dead zone this year. So I don't feel any enthusiasm to do anything but look up the release date announcements later in that month.

Just posting the schedule again since ign has updated theirs to include the pc conference. which is still 1 hour before ubisofts so idk whats going on

• EA (from the E Aplay Event): June 12, 1PM PST / 4PM EST
• Bethesda: June 12, 7PM PST / 10PM EST
• Microsoft: June 13, 9:30AM PST / 12:30PM EST
• PC Gaming Show: June 13, 12PM PST / 3PM EST
• Ubisoft: June 13, 1PM PST / 4PM EST

Nintendo's not here since they aren't doing a digital event but the tree house of Zelda is on June 14th 9AM PST / 12PM PST

all that's left is for sony and square to announce their keynotes...might see a slot taken by square in between ubi and sony.

All these games are releasing this fiscal year from SE so expect most of them at E3 along with stuff like I Am Setsuna, KH 3 etc. IIRC Nomura said the only thing they're unsure if they'll have there is FFVIIR.

...man, that is an awesome line-up to bring to E3. Too bad they're not scheduled for a conference (yet), or I'd already nominate them as a candidate to best presentation.

The "..." also leaves room for unannounced games like the heavily rumored/pretty much confirmed FFXIIHD.

Brave Exvius playable at E3.

So the official E3 twitter just posted an image with the schedule, and I noticed that it says Nintendo Direct at 9 AM PDT on the 14th. Either they mislabeled the start of the Zelda U coverage or Nintendo has some surprise Direct. Probably the former though, I don't see why there'd be a reason to have a surprise Direct.

I think they called it a Zelda focused Direct in a interview so probably just the former.

It could be they decided to reveal more Pokemon Sun/Moon details. That's about the only thing I can think of.

Rumor: RE7 going back to its horror roots at E3.

So... no KH 3 eh? Can't say that wasn't expected.

Just demos for now but if there are trailers they should be at Sony's conference(because the only SE RPG games on XB 1 are FFXV which looks to have Sony marketing help and KH 3 which isn't planned to come out this fiscal year).
