Alright ladies and gentleman, people of any and all races, this is where you go to chit chat. If there's any other questions that you have on the RP or just need somewhere to discuss stuff with other players, you can post it here.

• Pluto: An uninhabitable planet, no race has really called this planet it's home. It's 'atmosphere and gravity' are formed by artificial generators. It's home to various taverns however, the second home for most mercenaries, as well as a the 'Truck Stop of the Sol System'.
  • Winking Cyclops: One of the many taverns on Pluto. Run by a one-eyed female Human.

• Mars: Mars is essentially a desert planet with very few greenery or water. It's incredibly hot during the long days, and bitter cold during their short nights. Mars is known for their constant sand storms that ravage the surface. Said storms can devastate settlements, which is why major cities are built under glass-like domes.
  • Hastor: Martian Metropolis. Many ships and various weapons and equipment can be bought and sold here.

Chapter 1: Clean Up Job

Our heroes have started from the Winking Cyclops, most of which looking for work when they came across a robed woman, a Martian with three on her tail. After rescuing her, they've discovered that she is Belle-Abelon Gollusty, the younger Princess of Mars and discovered that she's been dealing with some underhanded scientific practices. Our heroes headed to the abandoned laboratory and exterminated the horrific experiments...as well as bring the entire building down.

Our heroes were paid handsomely and were being escorted to a nearby city, where the Princess even plans on buying them a ship for their trouble. Let's hope they enjoy sharing.

Can we get a ship of our own? It would be cool as heck and I really like drawing space ships! Like maybe they find a broken one on a planet somewhere and Ray and Amadeus fix it up?

Also how do you guys feel about our group doing a little space piracy? Hydra, is that viable? Like maybe they could steal from some bad dudes, like corrupt GPF officers or arms dealers that sell to terrorists?

Not sure if by ship you mean a collective ship for the group or individual ships. Cause, you know, I don't want everyone being able to fly off on their ships, since this is meant to be a cooperative RP-like Dungeons and Dragons...except in space. But if you mean a ship for the group, totally.

And as for the Piracy thing...yeah, that'd be pretty okay. Just know that stealing from people may-or may not-piss off the wrong person. Next thing you know, you're being hunted by the Space Mafia...unless you're into that sort of thing, in which case, all power to ya. :P

I don't care how your ship looks...well, actually, I do. Cause space ships are cool. But since it's mostly gonna be your characters flying in/on it, then you should get you should probably send your designs to them too.

As for what it will have...Well, Ray will be helping fix it. So it will have a jacuzzi, a bar, stripper pole, nice sound system, tiger-print carpet...

I'm a sucker for the concept of a "home base" for RP casts, especially if that base can be personalized or upgraded to suit the P Cs' needs and wants! Am I the only one who's getting curious about the idea of ship vs ship combat, FTL Faster Than Light style?

As for space piracy... well, knowing my character, I do not object to that. :P

Snakeye will probably stick guns on it. As for Space Piracy, for him it'd be more like being a bandit.

Which is totally cool.

What about blackjack and hookers?

Shira will probably just be like:

"... It's a fish. We're travelling in a fish.."

I was thinking something a bit more traditionally Flash Gordon like but I can live with this.

And that's the actual RP itself. And just like in D&D, it all starts in a tavern. On Pluto...okay, so maybe not like D&D.

Took awhile because I just saw Episode 7 Star Wars again.

I might be a little bit to get to my post, only recently got home from work for the day, and I like to leave a substantial first mark on R Ps. :P

Though I do have a couple of questions. For one, what is the standard currency of the galaxy here? Are we talking credits? Xenoyen? Ye olde gold coins? And what is it normally printed as, if anything at all these days?

For two, is it possible for us to form a Skype group for this RP? I think it'd help coordinate our replies with each other a little more closely when we start doing more collaborative reply chains.

The currency are Digital Coins-so yeah, Credits. Whether your character carries a card, a USB drive, or happens to be a cyborg with an internal bank, doesn't matter. 1 Credit=1 Dollar, give or take.

And...yeah, a Skype would be pretty helpful. How do we set it up?

Well... we could start by sharing our Skype names and adding each other to our contacts. Then the GM, being you, would invite us all into a single conversation for the RP. My Skype name being Cedi Fonei.

Oh, and another question I just remembered: How do mercs usually get jobs from taverns? Do we have an old fashioned quest board? Do we talk to the tavern's owner, or someone else?

Yes.

Seriously, though, it's kind of both. All tables have holograms that have lists of various jobs on them, and you can also go to the Tavern Owner, who'll usually have a list of jobs.

I recognize that brute-forcing it is kind of a cop out. It's perfectly feasible for it to just not work if it's too much so but it's in-character to try.
