Mass Effect RP: King Feraligatr's Rewrite Edition: Main Thread

"Oh, living quarters...right," Juun replied, responding as if he weren't paying attention until now. He focus was on the human known as Commander Shepard, mainly because he wasn't sure what to think of him. He seemed nice, at least on the surface, but Juun knew he'd never want to get in a fistfight with the human... especially considering that Juun at best could dodge several consecutive attacks from an untrained fighter if he knew what was happening.

"I'm sure it'll look nice, bigger and cleaner than my old quarters. Will I need to share it with anyone?" Juun couldn't help but ask. He was hoping he wouldn't need to considering the fact that he shared his last sleeping quarters with 5 other quarians.

((Shepard isn't gonna do that quite yet.))

Shepard arched a single eyebrow at the term "incident". In his experience, "incident" was usually bad. But he knew the other members of the task force could handle themselves. If Fana nor Juun saw it fit to tell him, he supposed it wasn't issue enough to worry about.

"I don't think they are. But hey, even if it isn't, we can still hang out." Shepard said, flashing Juun a thumbs-up and grin combo across Fana. "You ever see "Starless"? It's my favorie movie of all time. Masterpiece of Gothic Horror!" In his spare time, Shepard was a huge movie buff. But beyond that, Shepard always felt that a crew worked best when the members bonded with each other. The end result was he probably came across as a friendly person. Like a puppy. "You into clubbing? I think I might hit the bars one last time before we leave if I can."

A Human C-Sec officer walked up to Chevek's crew,"Where's this Chevek fellow? We got a Salarian who's with General Zytex coming to look for him. After this Salarian comes to pick up Chevek, we're going to need to screen your ship.". He waited a response as the Salarian came in.

A Turian C-Sec officer asked one of the Asari in Kahlief's group,"I need that Vorcha Kahlief Sargin. I got a Human here with General Zytex to pick him up. I personally don't care for the Vorcha, but orders are orders. After we take the Vorcha from you, I need to screen your ship.". The Human afiliated with Zytex was waiting near the officer.

(Zytex isn't physically present in any docking area.)

"Well here we are Juun. Your temporary living quarters for serving with our task force. We have everything you'd need to live here. Dextro amino acid foods and other stuff, a clean room with appropriate cleaning things, a noise maker to give you extra comfort when sleeping, a bed, and more. So, you have any other questions before I go off and do other things, Juun?", Fana asked Juun as they got to his new quarters. She then turned to Shepard, after we're done with out first meeting, you, me, and Zytex can all hit this excellent club. It's normally restricted to high ranking personal, but Zytex was able to get me in there. I bet since you're Spectre Shepard though, you can get in regardless. You just got to hope Zytex isn't too busy. Otherwise I can just come.".

When Juun arrived at his new quarters, he was more impressed than he thought he would be. His discontent with his earlier experience with C-Sec general quickly faded away as if it were already a distant memory, and to add more good news to his day, Juun noticed that it didn't hurt to walk anymore.

"This...will work just fine." He said, hinting a sense of gratitude that he struggled and failed to fully hide. "Any idea how long it will be before we're summoned?" He asked, hoping to enjoy as much time to himself as he could. Solitude was practically a luxury among the Migrant Fleet, and was something he didn't know he desired until now, even for a moment.

Fana responded to Juun,"We still got a bit kiddo before we have out meeting. We're still awaiting several people.". She browsed her list on her omni tool,"We're still awaiting a Rait Vek, a Kahlief Sargin, a Chevek, Liara, Kaidan...... and more". Fana then closed her omni tool.

"Well in that case, I can wait...Sounds like a lot of people." Juun said in response as he examined the bed. He wasn't used to how soft it was in contrast to the typical bunks on the ships he lived in, which were usually nothing more than panels of metal connected to the wall that were capable of being folded in and out. Pillows were considered a luxury, and blankets were seen as unnecessary as many considered their own suits to be good enough for warmth. Juun'Reyan unintentionally came across as a bit less immature than his demeanor usually suggested, as he pushed into the mattress a bit with his hand before pressing one foot on it and then standing on top of it. One would think he had never seen a proper bed before, and the truth was he hadn't as he began unconsciously jumping on top of the mattress.

Fana,"Have fun Juun.". She then turned to Shepard,"Anything you want to talk about Shepard?".

(Tuesdays are going to be bad days for me to update for several weeks more. I got work and college on the same day.)

With Chevek at the docks.

"I'm Chevek." Chevek said.

Chevek looked at the Salarian and said. "So are you here to escort me to my living quarters or has the meeting already started?

Kahlief walked over to the human and asked. "Are you here to tell me where I need to go? Or are you here to escort me?

Both crews of the ships moved out of the was so C-Sect could scan there respective ships.

Shepard wasn't sure what to think of Fana asking him to go clubbing. Was she hitting on him? Shepard was very pretty, but from what he understood Fana wasn't interested in mixing business and pleasure. He may have responded tactfully, had he not peered over her shoulder to see Juun jumping on the bed. Wow, this guy knew how to have a good time! Maybe Shepard would see if he was up for a pillow fight later. He decided to leave Juun to Juunping.

"Nope. No questions." Shepard said to her. He seemed to be a bit intimidated by Fana for some reason. "I'm just gonna go do some cooking." He said, hurrying off to the kitchen.

Juun'Reyan continued to jump on the mattress, as if he were briefly reliving an improved childhood that didn't consist of spending most of his days literally living in a bubble. After a while though he got bored and decided to land on his back, surprised that the bed hadn't completely collapsed under his weight.

"I'm sorry, I just had to do that! If you so much as sat too quickly on the kind of bunks we had, your panel would break off its hinges and hit the floor." Juun said as if he'd done that before. He continued laying on his back, using his hands to support his head.

Fana noticed Juun boucning on his bed and Shepard going to the kitchen. "It's okay. Have fun you two. I have stuff I need to do. Zytex has his people running all over the place doing stuff. I'm part of his group so I got to run. Bye.", Fana said in a friendly tone and walked off.

"Hello there Chevek. General Zytex is asking his people to escort members of our task force to temporary living quarters to wait for our first meeting. He wants everyone in the task force where they should be without much incident. The General himself cannot meet you as he is busy. If you'll follow me to my car, I can drive you to the Presidium where your new quarters are. Feel free to ask me questions on the way.", the Salarian said as gestured start the walk to his car.

"Hi Kahlief. I'm with General Zytex. I'm here to escort you to the task force's temporary living quarters on the Presidium. We haven't started the meeting yet, but Zytex wants everyone in the task force squared away safely beforehand. If you'll follow me to my car, I'll escort you there. If you have any questions on the ride, feel free to ask me", the Human said as he nodded to his car.

Juun'Reyan eventually brought himself back on his feet and looked around for a bit. He recalled Fana mentioned something about food that could be processed by sapiens with dextro-amino acids and decided to examine what was exactly was available. "I hope there's more than tube food here." Juun commented to himself, having been practically raised on rations that tended to be designed for nutrition over flavor.

(Due to work, Thanksgiving, and a family event I have on Friday, I will be finding it hard to update these next few days. Especially since I'll be without access to a network most likely most of the time. Saturday should be when I get more time again.)

The Salarian drove his car through the tunnels of the Citadel, noticing that the Batarian was silent. When they reached the Presidium, he said,"Well, here we are Chevek, it shouldn't be as long comparatively to get to the task force's temporary living quarters now. Have any questions? Direct them to me.". He proceeded to the task force's quarters.

The Human drove Kahlief in his car through the Citadel's traffic tunnels, and noticed that the Vorcha wasn't saying much. Eventually they reached the Presidium and the Human said,"Here we are, the Presidium, home of the galactic elite. I'll be taking you to our temporary living quarters. Ask me any questions you have". He then drove to the quarters.

((Haha, it's fine~! Thanksgiving was great! How was yours?))

When Juun entered the kitchen, he was greeted to a sight to behold. Shepard was in the kitchen. He still wore his uniform, which was in and of itself an offensively bright pink. Shepard had then added a chef hat to the ensemble. What's more, he had what seemed to be a katana. And some fish scales on his chin.

"Hey there." Shepard said to Juun. One of the cleaning staff, Flona Salvinius, tossed a Kar'shan snapping eel at the Spectre, who deftly cleaved it in half. The bisected remains landed on the counter behind Shepard, who had lined it with a bunch of plates for catching the fish. The whole setup was pretty thorough.

"I'm practicing with my new equipment." Shepard said. A Prejek paddle fish was fileted. "And making lunch. Want to help? Flony, you need a break?"

Although Shepard probably couldn't see it, Juun'Reyan was unable to suppress his subconscious smirk. Whether it was because of Shepard's outfit or the fact that he was using a katana to create alien sushi was up for debate, and it was possible that both reasons were the answer. "I was just wanting to know what kind of Dextro food we had, but sure..." He replied, figuring it was probably a good idea to spend time with one of the people that would more than likely be part of his new crew.

Chevek's car

Chevek followed the Salarian and said. " There aren't very many questions that I have currently, and the one that I do have could only be answered be one of your superiors. Since I already have been to the Citadel a few times before."

Chevek

"Well that's a shame that I can't answer your question. Feel free to ask the General or his officers when they have time. And it's good that you have been on the Citadel before. Makes things easier. Anyways, we're here.", the Salarian said as he parked his car near the entrance of the living quarters. He got out and walked up. He went up to Odis, the Hanar attendant, and said,"Odis, I got a another member here, the Batarian named Chevek. I'm busy otherwise I'd take him to his quarters myself. Could you please handle him? Thanks.", he said.

"Very well, this one will do what the Salarian says.", Odis responded the Salarian, who took what Odis said and then walked back to his car, got in, and drove off. Odis turned to Chevek,"Hello Batarian Chevek. This one's name is Odis. If the Batarian would be so kind to go to these quarters with this key to your quarters. This one is too busy, otherwise it would directly help you to your quarters. If the Batarian has any questions, please direct to this one.". The Hanar gave Chevek the directions to his quarters and his key.

(the key is more like a code, not the keys we're used to real life. While I assume others would assume this, just clarifying)

"Sorry Kahlief, I'm too busy to help you find this lake. Zytex is having us run all over the place taking care of tasks to get ready for the meeting. You'll have to ask the General himself, his officers, or Odis to help you. I'll ask Odis to give you a map of the surrounding area to help you out. Though I recommend you stay with one of Zytex's people or stay in task force related areas like the quarters. People typically hate Vorcha. Well we're here, Kahlief. Follow me.", the Human said as he got out of his car and walked up to Odis. The Human talked to Hanar,"Hello Odis. I know you're busy, but I got the Vorcha Kalief Sargin here. As you've probably heard, many of us are too busy to help the people we bring in find their quarters. So could you please help him? Also, please give him a map of the surrounding area. I don't think he's been on the Citadel, especially the Citadel.". He looked at the Hanar for a response.

"This one dislikes how rude Vorcha can be, but it will accept the Human's request. You may leave.", Odis said to the Human. The Human left to his car, got in, and drove off. The Hanar turned to Kahlief,"Welcome Vorcha Kahlief Sargin. This one goes by the face name Odis. This one is also too busy to help you find your quarters, but here is the location of your assigned quarters, your key to it, and map of the surrounding area as requested by the Human. Feel free to ask this one any questions the Vorcha may have.". He then gave Kahlief to mentioned items.

Shepard fileted a fish fabulously in mid-flight. The blade was indeed good for cooking. He had enough fish for the sushi, so he sheathed the blade, a glow emitting from the holster as he did so. He began to assemble the sushi using rice.

"I'd help you look, but...Fish." He said. "What do you do in your spare time? Play any video games?" Shep asked.

Garrus Vakarian walked up to the entrance of the Citadel's task force. "Well, this is the place. I hope Shepard and the others are here already.", Garrus said to himself. The Turian walked up to the front desk and said to the Hanar Odis,"Hello. My name's Garrus Vakarian. General Zytex invited me to the task force and I'm here to check in.".

Odis responded,"Hello Turian Garrus Vakarian. This one's face name is Odis. It can see that you have registered living quarters. Here is the key to your quarters and the location of it.".

Garrus summoned up a slight smile and responded,"I'm sorry, but that won't be strictly needed. I already have a place on the Citadel. But I appreciate the thought and I'll hold on to it. I'm more here for my friends. Do you know if a Samuel Shepard, a Tali'Zorah, and Kaidan Alenko, or a Liara T'Soni have checked in yet? They where my old squadmates when we where fighting Saren a while ago.".

Odis responded to Garrus,"That is unfortunate to hear, but the General described such a situation to this one about this. The General thought it best if we where able to have all the members of our task force on or close by the Citadel. It may give your quarters to another task force member, is this fine to the Turian?".

Garrus gave a slight sigh and responded,"That will be fine. I just wanted tot check in. Now about Shepard and the others?".

Odis said back to Garrus,"This one appreciates the thought. Your associate Human Commander Samuel Shepard can be found in these quarters. The General has heard that Quarian Tali'Zorah is on her way to the Citadel, but has not arrived yet. This one has no records of Human Kaidan Alenko or Asari Liara T'Soni responding back. They where supposed to be with Commander Shepard, but we have not heard anything from them or the Human. This one apologizes.".

Garrus let out another sigh and then responded in a friendly tone,"It's okay. Thanks for the information Odis. Goodbye.". Garrus waved goodbye and then walked to where Shepard was supposed to be. When he got there, he saw Quarian male, a staff member, the Savior of the Citadel himself. Garrus wasn't sure if Shepard noticed him, but said with great joy in his voice,"Well if isn't our lovable bastard Commander Shepard. How have you been, you partier?".

(yep, time for Garrus and the gang. I'll probably be giving more focus on Garrus and Tali for the RP as long as they're under my control as I like them more than Liara or Kaidan.)

Juun'Reyan paused for a minute before answering Shepard, "Well...whenever my detachment of the Fleet passed by any planets with interstellar communications, we'd actually pirate whatever programs they were broadcasting. The very few vids we did have not only almost drove everyone insane from watching them too much, we wore them out until they didn't work anymore somehow." He replied, unsure what the others would think of the fact that they basically stole television.

"Oh, another Turian?" He asked after noticing Garrus Vakarian, speaking in a tone that suggested neither disappointment or excitement.

Chevek thanked Odis and walked down to quarters.

A little while later

after resting a bit Chevek wandered around the corridor that held the quarters and found a open door. When he looked inside he saw a Turian, a Human, a Quarian, and a staff member.

"What are you guys doing?" He asked

(What species is Flona Salvinius?)

"And now, it looks like we have a Batarian in our group. Unconventional, but I can't help but admit how interesting this crew's becoming." Juun couldn't help but comment upon noticing Chevek. He then resumed looking for any food available that could be consumed by dextro-aliens, beginning his search by inspecting the fridge.

(beats me who Flona is. I didn't make them up. Heroic did. Also, I wanted to wait for Shep to respond before composing a response from Garrus, but meh. I'm in the process of making a post for Tali as well. It might not come until tomorrow at the least.)

Garrus was disappointing by the lack of immediate response by his old friend, but carried on. He noticed Juun and Chevek making comments and decided to introduce himself to them,"Hello you two. My name is Garrus Vakarian. I'm an old squadmate of Shepard's. We fought Saren and the like together and became friends during that time. I'm here because the General wants my knowledge and combat skills. Also I wanted to say hello to this quirky but lovable bastard. Would you two mind telling about yourselves?.". Garrus looked at them expectantly.
