I like how close Revereser got though. Even at the end of the episode, he was close to get getting both what he wanted (nathaneal) and the miraculous (chat noir). Managing to hit both Ladybug and chat noir with his powers was also a step up from most akumas. I think Hawk Moth needs to find a better way to balance getting what he wants. In evillustrator he showed that he could cripple an akuma if they got to distracted from the goal.

I kind of saw Nathaniel having a crush on Ladybug, Mark shipping it, Marinette shipping Mark with Nathaniel and the implications of a pretty good OT3

Hey, did anyone followed comic book adaptation of the comic, Miraculous Adventures? Well, bad news: after 3-month wait for issue 4, Issue 5 needed will make that wait look like a lunch break by being released in frigging June (issue 4 was in December) and it not a new comic: it's just comic adaptation of few webisodes using screenshots. Also, it was announced that 8th issue will be the last one.

The enormity of the hiatuses associated with this franchise are hilarious. Even the tie ins are on hiatus.

So apparently this is going to be turned into a movie and it will be in LIVE-ACTION.

....why??

Why not? Animated movies are expensive.

We've known about the movie for awhile though? Like since before the show even started I'm pretty sure.

I wouldn't even have that idea in the first place, let alone have faith in it.

Anansi

Alya's sister is super buff. Also good point, you'd think someone would have reacted to Alya's inclination to jump into danger at the slightly opportunity already.

Okay, I know it was probably because she looked away, but when Marinette helped Nino win I'm going with the fanon interpretation that Marinette is shredded.

The Anansi setup is pretty cool. I like it how she's got a simple goal, and as a result is like a video game Superboss. Just stays in one place and is extremely tough to beat.

Probably could have used Cataclysm there Adrian. You had a hand free while on the webbing.

If the ML fandom was bigger/more prone to darkfic, there would be a bunch of A Us where Fu died after Marinette left with the Turtle.

Finally Adrian! I see, it was the ring hand that was stuck down. Would Anansi die from touching the ring in that state? Or would it somehow bounce back on Hawkmoth. It is a kids show after all, but idk, feels like Gabe probably wouldn't care too much. Although I suppose at this point Anansi is halfway to victory.

Alya Knows :P Cat Noir's Pout! And wow, Nino gets a bona fide Shield Cut.

I was checking the wiki, and man, I've never seen a cartoon this devoted to retelling itself. Ladybug has book version of its episodes, comics that use screenshots for art and now they're releasing comics with ''new art'' What's next, video game adaptations? Radio podcasts? Puppet shows?

Anyway, "Anansi", loved it! I liked how Nora uses "flyweights" as insult, the lady sure is devoted to her gimmick. And once again, series created cool unique villain without feeling like it's just a Spider-Man ripoff homage. Plus she had fun arguments with Hawk Moth. I've noticed that we haven't really seen her spit the web. Probably because in fight, they wanted to focus on her boxing skills. Or because it's hard to animate web landing and forming, especially big ones. Or because it's gross.

It was sad that Adrien had to attend trough the phone. Poor guy is forced to become his father. I'm almost surprised that they didn't tried that with Alya, too. They could make it a thing!

And of course Carapace, woo! It was short appearance but still fun. I can help but notice that Shell-ter (Man, this and flyweights, writers' pun game was strong in his one) could cut trough the web. Are we sure its a defensive power, because I think with careful aiming, its cutting energy field attack in all directions. Also, it's good to know that his de-activate phrase is "shell off". Now, please confirm that for Alya it's 'Trixx, no pouncing!'.

Sandboy is out!

Wow, Chat Noir Memes

So, uh. Kwami's are pretty much a million years old if my quick math is correct? The plot point feels a bit convenient though.

Why not just have Adrian and Marinette stay in separate side rooms while the Kwami's do their thing? Then worst comes to worse they just fail what Fu didn't want attempted in the first place. Although if Gabe's book has that information he's totally going to attack to interrupt it.

Man, all these kwami's are going to be great for fanfic writers. Also the identity spell is a thing too.

terrifying nightmare, funny nightmare, oh Adrian's is actually really sad.

Oh man, I 100% want LB to summon that sword at some point with her Lucky Charm.

So many cute kwamis, snake was my favorite! It was also awesome for Plagg to get some spotlight for a change. But..how did kwamis fit all that stuff into the box?

Sandboy was cool, we didn't had a design this cool-looking in a long time (sorry, Anansi). It really hit the sweet spot between cute and threatening. He was a bit of Flat Character, but honestly it was refreshing to get some random stranger with simple motivation again, after most season 2 villains needingup almost third of a episode to set up, like a overeager Dnd player with 5 pages long character backstory. Looking at you, Reverser!

Man, Hawk Moth hijacking the signal was intense! I complain how generic he is in most of episodes, but every time he gets to actually do something new, he's really a cool villain.

I actually liked how characters mostly reacted to their nightmares because they were a threat, rather than usual carton too-terrified-to-fight-or-defend-myself routine.

I don't know when I'm suppose to hate Gabriel more, when he removes Nooroo's mouth or when Adrien calls for him when he's trapped.

I wonder if someone is going to get Sass. He does seem to be a leader of some kind among the kwamis, and I'd love to actually see a good aligned snake-themed character in something.

If Sass would get an owner, then all other kwamis would have to get an owner, and I can see a few reasons why thatmight be hard.

But it would be great if Juleka had a kwami. They could bond over their inability to get a good photo! (Logical solution would be of course that Nathanael would sketch them together.)

On topic of kwamis, the bee won me over with just one polite and sophisticated line of dialogue. I can tell that seeing her interact with her owner will be fun.

Also, Nooroo was changed into a girl in few dubs, alright, that happens. But according to wiki, Trixx is a boy only in six dubs, counting French. English and fifteen other languages list him as a girl.

I mean, while I assume that the end result is a great deal of Marinette's class getting kwamis, there's no reason why all of them have to get owners.

New episodes!

Style Queen

Hey, I spy Mirille on the red carpet!

Continuity!!

Okay, I've been generally up-happy about the Chloe redemption arc, but 2 minutes in and I kinda hate her mother. And really I feel that having her as a parent cuts her some slack.

Man, Gabe must be so happy that Audrey is Chloe x100. I wouldn't be surprised if she could akumatise Hawkmoth.

"You've got that Cat walk down!" Adrien's eyes just POP in a frame.

Ayyy, Marinette meets Plagg!!

So, uhhhhh. Maybe don't let Plagg out on his own. I think Adrian's his Power Limiter?

Hawkmoth development! Interesting that Gabe seems to 100% think Adrian would understand.

Heh, fangirl Ladybug.

I hope people don't jump on Marinette for choosing the show over the miraculous. There was zero chance she could have gotten there before Chloe.

Chloe's terrible mother actually makes me invested in the redemption over the next two parts.

Queen Wasp

Okay, wow. this is huge.

Also those Natalie/Gabe fics now have a leg to stand on

Audrey liking Marinette makes me like her 0% more. This is also one time I don't mind Chloe's outburst. It's actually justified.

And Sabine assumes the local superheroes will take Chloe down.

......And Chloe is back to being the worst. Man, Marinette's parents are a bad judge of character. There goes all the fics where they instantly disapprove of Gabe.

Did Chloe just derail Hawkmoth's redemption arc? Eh, probably wouldn't have stuck anyway.

First double Akuma! Stoneheart doesn't count.

That fight was very clever.

Nadia, maybe you should report on the clear emotional abuse of her daughter by Audrey Bourgeois? Hm?

Uhhhh, Marinette. None of that is untrue. Poor, poor Sabrina.

Heyo, Marilya ship tease. That's certainly not the ship name.

Two minutes into the episode and I can already tell why Chloe is the worst. Jeez, her mother might be the most despicable character the show's ever had.

Two minutes into the akumatization and Hawk Moth continues to be crap at this whole villain thing. How in hell did he not think Style Queen was going to target Adrian by proxy?

I think this is first time ever I actually felt for Chloe. Like ever; Zombizou did nothing for me.

Gabriel wasn't kidding when he called her his masterpiece, because Style Queen was the most "OP, plz nerf" villain yet. Instant petrification blasts, travel so fast it might as well be teleportation and untouchable glitter body? And then she just puts energy shield over her akuma on top of all that? And she had extra powers like creating that golden bier, too!

I wish we could see more of Queen B. For one thing, I wanted more Pollen. For the other, I wanted see more of that crazy spinning top that Wasp never used. Overall, it was weird that for once Miraculous-akuma-copy had different working powers, though I guess since literal Miraculous was akumatized this time, it makes sense. Still, she felt kinda like Mr Pigeon repeat. Anyway, loved Queen B's transformation sequence, it was pure Chloe.

Where do you think those wasps were coming from? Was Queen Wasp's body producing them?

I don't watch this show for humor, but there were some good bits in these episodes. I chuckled when Chloe tried to copy her mom's Adjusting Your Glasses. wild mass guessChloe tried to wear sunglasses 24h but she kept tripping and having hard time reading, so she settled on just wearing then on her head.wild mass guess
