The City, Third Day

As they rode through the night, Ben was being disturbed by the gruesome sight they were seeing of people spawning, and dying, and suddenly spawning again only to die. He felt like he was going to be sick. He closed his eyes, trying not to look as he kept them all warm, when suddenly, out of nowhere, the sound Heatblast least expected to hear this early went off— the beeping of the Omnitrix deactivating. Heatblast's eyes flew open in terror.

"What?! Now?! No!!" Heatblast exclaimed, as there was a sudden flash of red light....

And everything went blank.

The... Forest? Fourth Day

Ben found himself in a heap on the ground, in his human form. He sat up to dust himself off, his eyes widening at the sudden change the entire area had taken. He reached down to dust some dirt off of his... tabard?!

He jumped to his feet and looked at himself as best he could. His stylish black-and-white outfit had been replaced with what looked like some odd combination of a wizard's robe and a knight's armor, in the same black, white and green color style. He would have to get a better look at himself later. In the meantime, in a bit of a tizzy, he glanced at his wrist, wondering what happened to the Omnitrix.

The good news was that it was still there. The bad news is that it... didn't seem to be the Omnitrix anymore. Where once there was a bulky watch-like machine, there was now a metal-encrusted green crystal, inlaid with the familiar hourglass-shaped Omnitrix symbol, itself a part of some magical-looking gauntlet on his left hand. The green crystal seemed to glow green with some sort of magical power, as little motes of green energy orbited around the center.

As a test, Ben tried to turn the crystal as he usually tried to turn the Omnitrix. To his surprise, it worked! However, instead of mechanically shifting through various forms, which appeared as silhouettes on the Omnitrix's face, instead the green crystal became hazy, showing the images of the various aliens (which each had their own differences) like a crystal ball. He put down the Omnitrix's "screen" and focused on his surroundings. And on Twilight and Rex.

"You guys okay?!" Ben asked the two frantically. "What happened?!"

Library

Asgore woke up and stood, feeling a bit daze, he placed a hand on his forehead for a moment, which allowed him to notice that he looked... different.

"What." he rubbed his eyes for a moment and took another look at himself. "Uh..."

He only got even more confused by the fact that the area around him was significantly warmer and just looked completely different from before. Out of curiosity he decided to move upstairs as he had not seen the rest of the building yet.

Adam slowly felt himself, his eyes widening in shock until finally.

"Holy shit I have all my internal organs again!" And with that the cop set about looking for a mirror or something reflective.

So far, things seemed to be going well. Ben's fire form was providing plenty of heat, and Twilight's shield was blocking most of the hail. However, the search wasn't making much progress due the ever-changing layout...

Then all of a sudden, Ben's watch started beeping. And he freaked out. Twilight remembered from when she first saw Ben what that beeping meant, and was on the verge of panic as well...

But then, Darkness.

Strange Forest

Twilight was awakened by Ben, asking what happened.

"Ugh... I'm fine. And I think you'd probably know better than m-"

Then Twilight noticed Ben's new outfit. In fact, after looking at herself, she was wearing a different outfit as well. She had on an old-fashioned wizard's hat and cape. It was something like what she had worn for Nightmare Night, when she went as Starswirl the Bearded. Though this outfit didn't come with a beard. And when Twilight got a look at her body, she realized her colors were darker than usual. And a glimpse of her mane showed another darker palette.

Furthermore, they didn't appear to be in the same place. She thought they were in a city, but now it looked like they were in a forest.

"Oh, were you not talking about that thing that lets you transform? Were you talking about... all this? Because if you were, the answer is 'I have no idea'."

Fourth Day, Rick's Medieval Lab

Once Lune calmed down, she thought about moving her body. As a result, the headless body began moving. Once she got familiar with moving her new body, she grabbed her head and carefully placed it on the stump. Hopefully, her new body will keep balanced and not trip over something. If Kieri, Rex, or Ben saw that, they might freak out at her. That might be real embarrassing.

Fourth Day

Without warning, Specter Knight fell to the ground. When he got up, he found he was unable to float again. That wasn't all that changed about him, though.

His scythe had been replaced with a much plainer and heavier version of itself. So much for being able to throw it. In addition, his red cloak had been replaced with a heavy black one. Luckily, his armor hadn't changed.

"Well, at least this transformation isn't as drastic as it could have been..."

Day 3, people dying all over the place

Rex drove to where he assumed Rick's would be. Of course, given the varying layout of the city, it was easier said than done but at least they were protected from the cold and the hail. He couldn't say the same about the other inhabitants of the city and, just like the people on Rick's lab, he was determined to save them.

Unfortunately for them, Ben's watch started to turn him back to normal not too long after going outside the library.

"What? It hasn't been a minute since we left the library"

Then, Rex fell unconscious.

Day 4, people changed all over the place

Rex woke up after who knows how long in a forest with Ben asking him if he was okay.

"One minute I'm driving at full speed through and the next minute I wake up sorrounded by trees"

Although he still didn't know a transformation had taken place, he noticed something weird was going with his goggles. For starters, they were an eye mask covering all the way to his nose.

"What the-?" he looked down to see that his jacket and pants had turned into a multicolored uniform with a multicolor checkered pattern "Why am I wearing this?"

Kieri cursed internally as Brother Marcus gutted Rick in front of her. One look at her face betrayed the cold facade she had put on at the moment, though she was fortunate enough to avoid most of the visceral gutting of the elderly scientist. Watching Brother Marcus walk away, she started to attempt to hide her handiwork, figuring he'd simply return to the same spot with the next heretic or xeno and she could pick up right where she left off.

Kieri hadn't expected him to look down. Every fiber of her being told her to run, to get the hell out of there, to come back with help or perhaps a better game plan. But she stayed. She had seen Brother Marcus' jetpack. If she tried to fly away, he'd be on her in an instant. There was only one option, and the space marine seemed to choose it for her.

Gritting her teeth, Kieri summoned her cloth covered blade to her hands. She didn't uncover it-there was no time, and the cloth would provide extra weight anyway, if only a little. With her other hand, she started to fling what she had made of her formation at the charging Brother Marcus, hoping to impale him before he got to close. She raised her sword to the arc where Marcus was swinging, screwed her eyes shut, and then...

Nothing. The blow never came, nor did the sound of either ice puncturing armor or ice being smashed to bits. The biting cold faded almost instantly, leaving a warm wake in it's place. Kieri opened her eyes slowly before they went as wide as dinner plates. She had heard the others talk of the city constantly changing landscape, but to actually see it was another story all together. The frozen tundra had changed into a forest, with only a few buildings sprinkled here or there. And above all else, no xenophobic Space Marine.

Kieri took stock of what just happened before she collapsed the ground, her eyes becoming un-dulled as she breathed shakily. She barely even noticed her new clothing-she just noted that they were actually white robes now instead of long sleeved shirt and pants, and the blue tunic she usually wore at the front of it had disappeared, replaced with a copy of insignia the tunic held imprinted on the front of her robes in a pale blue. That was all very fascinating to her, but at the moment she was a little busy having a panic attack.

'He's gone now,' she tried to reassure herself 'but he'll be back oh Gaia he'll be back. You didn't kill him, now he'll come to kill you, and even if you did kill him...Rick!' She gripped the hilt of her blade tightly. She couldn't save him. If only she had had more time, but...That was the past. She had to keep moving forward. Besides, if what she had heard were true, it was just as likely Rick was walking around cursing at the forest around him as it was his corpse had been buried six feet under by the climate change. Still, she tucked him away in a small corner of her mind reserved for fallen comrades, just in case. He'd be able to keep Sanjulo company there, at least.

It took a moment for her to register another voice had punctured the darkness. Kieri whirled around instantly, raising her sword in a defensive manner, her sleep deprived mind connecting it to Brother Marcus despite it obviously not being his voice. When she saw the wolf man's face, she lowered it slowly and breathed a sigh of relief. Mind you, her mind was still wrestling with the idea that he might be a demon, but she pushed it aside very quickly. The Angel had already let the colder, calculating side of her brain take over for one night, and quite frankly that was enough.

"Y-Yes," she said slowly, letting her sword rest at her side "I t-think he's gone. F-From here at l-least, I'm w-willing to bet he's s-still running around the...F-Forest? City? City Forest?" She finished in confusion, attempting to dismiss her sword.

A whole new set of nerves creeped on to her when she realizes she couldn't. She glanced down at her hand to find her blade still being clutched there. She grimaced and tried harder to get rid of it, but found it would not go away. It was then Kieri felt something rather different at her side, beneath her robes. Pushing them aside, she found a simply brown leather belt with holsters for many things, all empty. At one side was a holster for her sword. She glanced between the holster and her blade before sighing, sliding it into the holster carefully in an attempt not to rub off the cloth. She felt other new things inside her robes as well, but she'd investigate them later.

"H-How are the others," Kieri asked, turning back towards the wolf man "d-did they s-see that m-man run off s-somewhere? Or...Or w-what he did?" She finished, shivering as she recalled Rick's execution.

That is all there is to say, and I will say no more.

Rex awoke... and was wearing a rather silly outfit. Twilight grimaced as she tried to avoid chuckling, and then she said, "I suspect you're wearing that for the same reason we're also wearing different outfits. What that reason is, I don't know."

Twilight also noticed the weather was different. It was still cold, but just regular night cold.

"By the way, what happened to all the snow and ice?"

Ben grinned and laughed out loud at Rex's outfit. "Nice getup," he told Rex with a big smile on his face. He then crossed his arms and turned back towards Twilight.

"I dunno, but if you ask me, I'm pretty sick of all the cold. It's nice to get back to some normal weather for a change," he admitted. He reached for his cloak, pulling it around himself, and his grin grew wider. "And my getup is totally awesome! I look like the hero of some fairy tale story or something! Slay the dragon, rescue the princess, and protect the land!" He put his hands behind his head, smiling sheepishly.

"I'm sorry, that's really corny, isn't it?" he asked, chuckling to himself. He then looked around. "Anyway, it looks pretty late. We should find the library again and get some sleep."

"I certainly agree to that sentiment," Plague Knight said, walking up to Spectre Knight. Just like his fellow Order of No Quarter member, his change in costume was just as minor looking more rugged and common with spiked shoulder pads and a mask looking more like a work mask with goggles than a helmet. He then looked around, spotting Adam and Legion. "Though it seems like the changes are more drastic for others......"

Adam was now dressed in a dark blue overcoat, it felt odd, kind of heavy.

His arms and legs were now almost ornate metal, they felt lighter, and somewhat hollow, "God damnit how are these things working?" Adam wondered.

His eyes didn't feel any different, then again the technology of augments made it so that it was very hard to tell a difference, Adam couldn't see it but his eyes were now almost like black crystal With a singular almost golden green circle in the center.

Adam sighed and headed up after Legion, least he was happy he could tell his internal organs were back, but his body also felt somewhat emptier, missing a lot of the internal augments that allowed him to do all those fancy tricks.

On the upper level, "Hey Legion you okay?"

Legion had folded itself up in order to review combat footage, but when Adam talked to it, it unfurled into its humanoid form.

It was tricky to multitask when you were an individual. Legion couldn't assign half of itself to review footage and the other half for interaction. Legion wasn't the sum of its parts, it was now more than that, and that meant focusing on more than one thing was trickier than before. Given the current situation, the geth decided it would forego review for now.

"The polymorph has not compromised internal function," it stated.

Legion turned to Asgore. “It would seem so. As far as I am aware, this platform is currently made of what appears to be stone. Anything beyond that about this platform’s composition can no longer be accurately ascertained with my current knowledge base.”

It then turned towards Adam, faced with an actual dilemma. It wanted to stay and review its footage, but Adam wanted to go sightseeing. Legion was thus quiet for a full two seconds as it thought about the issue, before deciding that it could review footage later. "I will follow," the geth stated.

Creepy forest with a mage, a fighter, and a "thief"

It was nice not having to worry about the snowstorm and if the biggest change in the city today was weird clothes, Rex was more than happy with it. Sure, they looked completely ridiculous but it was a lot better than freezing temperatures.

Ben was seem thrilled with his costume and said they should go back to the library to sleep.

"Wow, not so fast there. It may not be snowing anymore but we should still see if the others are ok. You can leave if you want, though"

He was ready to create his turbines now that the cold wasn't an issue but something weird happened. Apparently not only his clothes were affected by the change.

The turbines were simple fans attached to a crude metal structure with the form of an inverted V on his back. They also had a globe tied to each end pressumably to quickly gain altitude.

Rex didn't think that could support his weight, much less all three of them "Uh... Hop in?"

Ben grinned and slightly shook his head. "Don't worry. I think we can follow you. Twilight has wings, and I have wings of my own, in my own way," he told Rex. He then tilted his hat down slightly to make himself look cooler, then he struck a heroic-looking pose and moved his hand across the Omnitrix crystal. As he moved it, the image on the crystal shifted until it moved to Stinkfly... but there were a few differences. Ben grinned, pressing his hand onto the crystal and a strange transformation begun.

The crystal began to glow a bright green, as the motes of energy grew and swirled around Ben. Ben was soon visible only as a glowing green silhouette. Then the silhouette started to grow and change, growing wings and multiple sets of limbs. Finally, it was released, the green light faded, and Stinkfly was visible. But this was not ordinary Stinkfly.

Where once he had looked like an overgrown alien insect, Stinkfly now resembled a big dragon of some sort. His insect-like buzzing wings were replaced with batlike, draconic wings. He now had reptilian limbs and jaws. He struck a pose as he exited the glowing light.

"Stinkfly!" he exclaimed. Then he looked at himself, surprised. "Whoa! I'm a dragon now! I guess that means I'm.... Dragonfly!!" With a powerful flap of his wings, he took flight, hovering in the air beside Rex. "I'm ready when you are, Rex! Twilight!"
