Hopefully Aigis can get some guns before shit his the fan. She might have to stop Sans if he tries to go running off right away, we can have the logical robot arguing with the now worried friend who wants to go running off at the first sign of danger.

Also Aigis is in for a bit of a self inflected guilt trip once she finds out someone killed Cole again after yesterday.

While it's been edited out, the fact that Aigis addresses Sans as "Sans-san" is pretty funny to me considering it's almost like she's saying "san-san" which is pretty silly and oddly cute sounding.

The -San prefix is a holdover from the translation that the games kept in, and thus I've chosen to also have her still use them as well. Luckily for me, Aigis addresses everyone with the -San prefix (basically an overly polite prefix not usually used in everyday conversation), so I don't have to worry about other ones so much.

And yes, I laughed as well when I read it to myself.

I can't imagine how Cole's going to feel afterwards if (read: when) he returns to his non-demon self.

But... -san is used all the time. It's the equivalent of Mr. or Mrs. pretty much the default honorific for anyone who aren't close friend. Aigis' friends just tend not to use it because they're close.

I wonder, does Japanese have a honorific that basically means "asshole" or that can be used as an insult?

"Sans-san" almost sounds like something a very little kid would call Sans and that mental image is actually pretty damn cute but applying it to Aigis just makes it funny.

Mainly that's expressed by omitting honorifics altogether and using any one of several different rude versions of "you" pronouns.

I'm worried about despair-Cole getting his hands on Rick, considering the man's usual mental state.

Although this does beg the question, can a demon of despair affect a depressed alcohilic who is numb to the horrors of the multiverse?

And now you know how much I really know about Japanese honorifics. namely, none.

It seems to be a question worth considering! Personally, I think Rick would just tell Demon!Cole to go screw himself or something.

I remember reading in a game's trope page than in it's Japanese version when confronting the Big Bad and they kill somebody, the main character says "you" multiple times with the politeness degrading until it reaches the worst which I believe is "kisama"

If what I think I know about Japanese honorifics is true, Ben would probably call Sans "Sans-kun" if he were speaking Japanese. If I recall correctly, -kun is used between male friends casually.
