"I was in a funk because of Galeem, but I think I'm doing better now."

"The Lord of Light? I heard how he had ravaged our base… have any facsimiles of our taken been encountered yet?"

"And, heh, I guess Ceres has finally gotten him off his ass."

Speak of the devil, Oca flies right after he says that, popping to the ground next to Callis.

"Oh, hey man!"

NLA Outskirts

Cheelai: "I've been getting better. I just finished some lessons with Barton before being assigned to this world; speaking of my crack shot, should we go get..."

John: "John!"

Cheelai: "Right. Shoud we go get him?"

Segata, Dave, and James all nod.

Space Station Gravitas: Computer Room

X:    "Yeah, Star Dream here's the tech wiz of our little conglomerate. There's also GLaDOS, here lurking somewhere, probably promising someone cake. I tried it once, almost got incinerated for my troubles."   

He huffs in contempt.

X:    "She's pretty important to operations as well. I'm really just muscle in comparison. Well, I should cut to the chase. Targa here wants some upgrades, and I said I'd do him a solid. Sort of a mutual back scratch. You mind souping him up for me?"   

He raises his voice a few octaves, playing nice for the robot.

Kenshiro and Majima once again run ahead of the pack.

Star Dream blinks a few times.

   "... >OK."   

   ">Biomech scanning in progress..."   

   "Scan complete. Please wait 8 to 10 business days for schematics optimization."   

"Oh, come on!"

"I would wait," says GLaDOS, descending from the ceiling. "We've been talking a lot. He's learned how to get back at people who don't know when to stop. Push him and those days will become weeks."

"..." Targa turns away. "Come on, X. To the training room!" He walks out.

On the way to the training room, Targa ducks into a closet containing some kind of teleporter platform and warps himself across the station. "Be right back, just wait for me in the room!"

"I heard Zel Junior was saved some time ago... Oh hey, Oca!"

"Yo~. And wait, what? Where is he?"

"We should reacquire the tyke ASAP."

"Hmmmmmng…"

NLA Alleyway

Segata, Cheelai, Lucio, Jet, James, and Dave arrive, James and Dave picking up their fallen comrade.

Segata: "You don't feel a sense of vengeance or regret for your comrades?"

James: "Honestly, I'm just glad to be alive. You, the seven-scarred guy- Kenshiro, was it?"

He motions to Kenshiro.

James: "You did quite a number on us lot. And then the other thing showed up... That must have been a lot. Now, can we stop chatting and get me healed, pretty please?"

Cheelai: "Well, since you said pretty please.."

Lucio nods and steps out, intending to call a comrade...

Only to walk back in dejected.

Lucio: "The good doc, the bad doc, the alternate timeline doc, and the doc who's not really a doc are all out!"

Jet: "We're gonna have to do it the old-fashioned way."

Space Station Gravitas: Computer Room -> Training Room

X:    "Ah, yes. I should really watch how much time we let you two hang out alone. I'd hate to think what could happen."   

X smirks, making it clear he was speaking sarcastically. He watches Targa run out before nodding and smiling to his fellow head members.

X:    "Toodle-oo!"   

He hops up before dropping and dashing off to the training room with that trademark hedgehog speed that even he possessed.

He arrives, skidding to a halt and hopping in place.

Majima gives a hilarious dumbfounded look.

Kenshiro's aura of might returns, only it's green this time. He tries to press his fingers to the sides of James's head, which will heal him if successful.

Gravitas Training Room

After about a minute, in walks Targa... dressed as Kyo-oh.

"Like the getup? This was Kyo-oh's armor. I wear it get to get into my zone for Meito Kieiken."

Targa assumes the primary stance of Meito Kieiken. He stands with his body at an angle, one arm held partially outward with fingers curled in a way that resembles a beckoning gesture and the other arm hung loose behind himself.

Not-King of the Army of Ruin

"KYO-OH"

"The easiest way to start learning is by experience. So, come at me whenever you're ready!"

"I have no idea. Hopefully we'll just run into him sooner or later."

"So, Oca... why were you trailing me?" Callis asks with a hint of playful curiosity.

"Uh… I've never seen Trigo fight seriously against anything stronger than him, one on one."

"Also I didn't have anything else to do today when I saw you fly by. I mean, I could take out galeem guys but kinda busy doing charting and logisties and stuff between the plan for the War and helping Single retain Nuke territory."

"… What are you implying."

NLA Outskirts

James begrudgingly trusts Kenshiro (considering the last time James saw him touch someone, it didn't end well for the other guy), and sure enough his leg is as if it was brand-new. He stands on his own, incredulous.

James: "Holy crap! Uh, thanks!"

He blinks and looks down at his legs, his buddies doing the same.

Cheelai simply chuckled as Jet nodded and Lucio's jaw dropped.

Space Station Gravitas: Training Room

X squints lightly, shaking his head.

X:    "No kidding, it reminds me of a lucha. I kinda like it, but it's really not my style. But hey, whatever gets you in the zone, I can get behind."   

X zips right in front of Targa before stopping, smiling, and appearing behind him, attempting a kick meant simply to send him skidding forward, possibly breaking his balance.

Majima looks flabbergasted, standing behind Kenshiro and peeking over his shoulder. Then he chuckles. "Yo, paging Dr. Ken! I got a bullet wound that needs taking care o-"

Before he can even finish that sentence, Kenshiro reaches backwards and taps Majima's neck without even turning to face him, like a strange sort of Offhand Backhand-meets-Healing Shiv. The bullet pops out of Majima's shoulder as the hole closes.

"Whoa!"

Targa suddenly whips around and blocks X's foot with his forearm before flash-stepping backwards away from him.

His lower leg is surrounded in fearsome red energy - almost demonic in nature - before he stomps the ground in front of him with it.

   Meito Thunder Drop Slash!   

From Targa's foot flies a large 'spark' projectile of electricity that travels along the ground towards X in a straight line.

"Guess I forgot to mention. Aside from the pressure-point stuff, Meito dabbles in electricity manipulation."

Callis raises a finger. "Wait, wait, I think I got it. You want us to fight."

"... Yeah, sorry, but I'm gonna have to pass on it this time."

"boooooooo."

"Oca, kid, you're going to have to get up pretty early… in the…"

Oca appears to have popped out a box of Cookie Crisp.

"I can make it worth your while," he says mischievously as Trigo looks mildly uncomfortable.

NLA Outskirts

Cheelai simply blinks incredulously at the offhand healing of Majima.

Lucio sits on the ground and Jet nods slightly.

The three bandits are huddled in a group, thinking of what to do next.

Segata has somehow regained his giant Saturn, hooked it up to a projector, and is playing Saturn using a wall on the alley, with seemingly no source of power.

Training Room Gravitas

X simply hovers over the spark (he was in midair after the clink), but is most definitely intrigued by it.

X:    "So, a bit of electricity... Neat."   

Majima watches Segata at play and chuckles. "Well, crises have been resolved, so I think I'm gonna split."

"I, too, should be on my way."

Targa charges his leg with dark energy before throwing a roundhouse kick at X's head. This will impair all his senses for some time if it connects.

Callis eyes the cereal box.

"..."

Her left eye twitches.

"Whut? Do I gotta give you some too?"

He searches through his maj'inventory and settles on a box of "OH NO THE FRUIT IS EVERYWHERE! Commander Crisp Orbs" because of course Captain Crunch gets the alt knockoff while Cookie Crisp is exactly the same.

Callis stares hungrily at the not-Crunch Berries. "... I guess you've got yourself a deal."

Galeem yeets another fireball into the distance of the Arena.

Noctilum

The fireball hits the Old Dragontail Tree and explodes, violently landscaping the surrounding terrain into a great hilly locale... that looks something like this.◊

Lucina, still in her tattered uniform, looks at the fireball from a distance. When she sees the red sign, she, in a somewhat impulsive manner, promptly heads towards it !

What should we do, Optimus Prime ? These people are under great suffering ! says Windblade, to a massive, noble-looking figure in a tower room. Wherever they are, it's somewhere underground...

We need to establish ourselves first... but if they do need our help, then we shall do so. Let us gather our forces and...

The fireball strikes, though they aren't that affected by the resulting vibrations, being giant robots and all. Prime looks at some screen, revealing the burning forest !

Allow me to help them !

Permission granted ! But be careful, for we cannot lose our Cityspeaker !

Worry not, Optimus Prime ! Do you want to come along ?

I shall follow you, yes. However, you are swifter than I am. Go forth ! We shall soon support you. Autobot, roll out !

Windblade smiles and leaps out of the tower, transforming into a jet halfway through and flying out of the cave, where a massive robotic city is hidden. Prime looks at the shattered glass and groan, though he soon moves out to reassure his troops.

I should advise my flying units to stop doing that.

Noctilum

Viserys can be seen approaching the now-terraformed section of Noctilum, having been practicing nearby when Galeem launched his earth-shaping fireball.

"What in Oblivion happened here...?"

Forest Hill

Proof of a Hero ~ 4 Ver. ~

A certain big red wyvern◊ descends from the sky, landing near the entrance to the location. It eyes the heroes warily, but does not make a move aside from shifting its footing anxiously.

Awkeff pops up next to Viserys. "That's it. That's a Rathalos!"

Chrom trudges toward the scene, Falchion at the ready. "Brace yourselves, everyone..."

Lucina arrives and notices Chrom and the others. They might notice her tattered outfit themselves, though she looks unhurt and defiant, raising her blade.

Let us fight together, Father !

She remains unfazed as Windblade arrives in her alt mode, transforming mid-flight and boosting herself a little to make a spectacular landing... though she freezes in surprise when she spots the Rathalos.

Oh !

Viserys' attention snaps to the newly-arrived Rathalos, and he takes a good look at the beast while unsheathing Dragonbane.

"Hmm... save for a few differences, this creature almost looks like the dragons back home."

Cue Awkeff's sudden arrival, prompting the Nord Dovahkiin to shift his gaze over to her.

"Heh, I was beginning to worry you'd miss all the excitement, Fahliil Fahdon. Now then, since it hasn't attacked us yet, could it be... planning something?"

"I'm not going to wait to find out!" Chrom suddenly charges head-on at Rathalos...

which immediately takes flight and rises up off the map, touching back down about 20 meters to the west.

"... Are you serious?!"

Awkeff grimaces. "Time to chase this thing down with Whirlwind Sprint, I suppose."

Windblade crouch down and transform into a jet.

Quick ! I'll carry you to him ! she says. If anyone accept (and at least Lucina does), she does so, flying off towards the Rathalos and firing at him, before making a sweeping manoeuver to allow the fighters to get off her wings and near the dragon.

However, it does means that she flies up, meaning that she can't help her allies for this turn.

Unseen to the two Dragonborn, something else lurks in the shadows nearby, stalking the same quarry they do.

When Rathalos takes flight, Viserys brings out Spellbreaker in preparation for what he assumed would be an aerial strike... only for the monster to instead fly further away from the group. Needless to say, he's not particularly amused with this development.

"Oh, by the Nine... this bastard's toying with us!"

He then glances at Awkeff.

"I have an idea: if Wyvernrend is anything like Dragonrend, it should force Rathalos to land before it can fly off again. But first, we'll obviously need to be in range for me to actually hit it, so..."

He clears his throat, then lets loose a shout of "Wuld... Nah Kest!" before dashing after Rathalos with Whirlwind Sprint.

Rathalos takes wing again and flies northeast to escape its pursuers, landing on the hill where two paths converge with a bridge over a waterfall to its east. (The bridge, by the way, leads to a sort of vacant cliff.)

Chrom reaches out with his hand dramatically. "I'm not going to entertain your games, Galeem! Everyone surround the dragon from all sides!" He runs around the isolated pond, taking the earthen stairs to the northeast corner where some kind of ruins lay at rest, slowly stepping towards Rathalos from that side.

"Right!" Awkeff starts running, only to almost immediately stop and look around. "Y'know... stop to admire the view, and suddenly this place looks a lot more welcoming. Maybe we could set up some kind of resort here... once Rathalos is taken care of. Wuld... Nah Kest!" She rockets across the eastern grove and lake, ascending the southern stairs to trap Rathalos in a pincer formation with Chrom and the others.
