Wanda takes a moment to examine the staff, then looks back to Esperance.
"Perhaps I could use my magic to help enhance the strength of your shields, which should keep you safe while you destroy this substance with that staff of yours. And if need be, my brother's Chaos Magic should be able to conjure up a second shield powerful enough to block it."
She nods to Varuch.
"Just call me Wanda."

"Well, the Collective has been very kind to me. I've tried not to disappoint them."
He snaps his fingers, and he's instantly dry again, and turns to Esperance.
"Again, I might be able to help if the Collective agrees to it. I also want to know more about this strange substance, as do they, I'd imagine."
He nods back at Wanda.
"Nice to meet you, Miss Wanda."

Hearing Wanda talking about her brother having chaos magic was weird. She turns towards Wanda, closing her eyes as she leaned on a wall.
"I'm pretty goddamn sure Pietro didn't have chaos magic in the comics. Only super speed stuff."
Finally, she turns to Varruch. "Heh, might wanna meet with them someday."

"It's no problem at all, Esperance. I'll make sure to inform Pietro of this situation the first chance I get."
Wanda then just gives Rosie a look.
"First off, this isn't a comic book, last time I checked. Second, my brother actually did gain the ability to wield Chaos Magic during our time here. It's a long story, to say the least."
She shifts her gaze to Varuch.
"The pleasure's all mine."
"Comic...book? What is a comic book? A book of jokes?
Varuch scratches his head in confusion. Despite his intelligence, he still seems like quite the goof. He nods at Esperance, and then turns to Rosie.
"Well, they're powerful, but they're not evil. After all, they're fighting against evil."
"Hmh. seems like this place is pretty weird indeed! And that explains everything too.
(Seeing magic and comic book characters is something pretty damn cool already. The food's also damn good too.)
She turns to Varruch. "Hah, a book of jokes? Really? Nah, it's way more awesome. It's a story told in panels of pictures, speech bubbles, and written sound effects. Didn't bring one with me now, though."
She then grins. "Powerful? Fighting against evil? They'd definitely make rotten mincemeat out of the fucking Zombies at my side!"

"That...sounds very interesting. A story told through pictures and words equally?"
His face pulls into a half-impressed, half-curious look.
"The higher ranking mages don't go out and do stuff most of the town. They normally send operating mages like me out to do matters they need done."
He bids farewell to Esperance.

He notices the newcomer and Severus, and waves at them.

Finally, he looks at Rosie.
"As I told Varuch here, my name is Severus, miss."

"Still, I think the Collective might want to know about this substance. Who knows? Maybe they'll assign me to do something about it. I'm sure my magic will allow me to sense this substance."
