Sarah manages to avoid the beams by sheer thundering speed, and with same thundering speed she swipes a thousand hundred times at Reimu, only to stop when she sees that her barrier is making her attack useless.

Deciding not to risk it with a teleportation, and since it's in cooldown, she instead jump back and try to once again split the atoms within the barrier. Failing that, she attempts to see if the barrier is "below" Reimu as well with a towering pillar of lightning coming out from below!

"As someone who's seen her in action, I don't doubt that she'll succeed at obtaining the power she needs to vanquish Mara once and for all," Loki replies. "Perhaps you could see if Weber might be able to help her unlock this potential of hers."

He takes another swig of water, then flashes a smirk at Pseudo.

"Knowing how this bizarre realm functions, their reunion is practically assured."

Having reoriented herself in the little time that bought, Reimu just blips out of existence before the barrier-breaking attacks can hit her. They do leave an impressive conflagration at her former location, though.

"Seishinken!"

This powering up reveals her location - a bit above Sarah. Her aura flares from red to a pure translucent white, a level of purity rarely seen. She zips down at hyperspeed, hitting the ground and skidding by Sarah.

"HAAAAAAAAAH!"

As she passes Sarah, she throws her hand out, unleashing a rain of powerful explosive energy bolts.

"Dunno. It's mobile. We usually just teleport to and from it."

Another message.

"Ms. Aran, update. The E.M.M.I. seems cooperative. It might want to accompany us. Orders or suggestions?'

Oca is already in his Primal state. Also, he literally fires a slab of roast beef at Courne from his inventory. Whee!

"Despite knowing the difference in placement between God and Blue between our worlds, that is intimidating."

He squares up.

"Trusting Weber with that sounds rather dangerous. But it is an option I'll keep in mind.", Pseudo says. He then smirks back.

"Heh, perhaps so."

Courne flies up and leaves right as the battle begins. He really did want to join in, but he hungers, so he goes to find Viche so that they can go eat.

Sarah notices Reimu skidding by her and attempts to grab her by the throat to smash her into the ground. If it works, then the ground shatters, perhaps dropping them into... a fancy underground lake below!

When the energy projectiles are set against her, Sarah uses her barrier to intercept a bunch of them, even though the rest hit and make her grit her teeth.

   It's fine. I can work with that just fine.    Zadom chuckles creepily... but then starts coughing, and take a breather.

   Sorry, I smoke a lot.   

   "Alright..."    Refia puts a hand on Zadom's shoulder. Red light flows from the demon to the princess, imbuing her with the power of a limited-function time stop.

   "And now..."    Refia's eyes start to droop.    "I'm... tired."    She slumps onto the counter of the noodle shop, swiftly passing into slumber.

Zadom nods to Refia, look at her defenseless state, look at Morgan, and slowly raises her brand new gun to her head.

   I can't learn how this beauty works without a test subject ri-    before she can shoot, Kamorra appears in Refia's way, appearing from Zadom's shadow in the blink of an eye.

mom is having a phase

   Oh, seriously? Fuck!    Irritated, Zadom throws her arms into the air and exit the store. Kamorra waits for her to be gone gone, and departs as well.

Reimu skids to a stop a meter or so from Sarah, and her Yin-Yang Orbs swirl into existence. They orbit around her, rotating and firing danmaku.

At least, for a moment, before Reimu roundhouse kicks the orbs at Sarah. The kick goes all the way around her, in case Sarah tries to catch her with a teleport attack.

Sarah gathers two enormous plasma orbs into the palms of her hands and fire them forth, cutting to the chase by using the subsequent beams to cleave through the Danmaku barrage (making them go pop, pop, pop, pop along the way) and attempt to hit Reimu.

She then uses her enhanced senses to keep track of her, and call down lightning over and over again on her position, attempting to out-predict her. She occasionally calls down lightning on the wrong spot, in a bid to throw off Reimu.

The main orbs are sent back to Reimu by the blast, but she catches them and sends them right back. The littler danmaku are doomed... good bye little dudes.

Then comes the next dodging phase. The lightning bursts are harder to avoid this time - there's a few near grazes as she zips back and forth.

One of the wrong spot shots just tags her! If she wasn't powered up at this point, that would have hurt.

"..."

Flicking her hand, she sends out a flurry of ofuda cards. A lot of them just hit the ground and lay flat, but one forms a yellow barrier right in front of Sarah.

Sarah avoids the bigger orbs with a tall leap, and notices her attack's lack of success against Reimu... but still, she perseveres, even if she's looking more and more forlorn as Reimu dodges, tank or counter her every move.

When matched by a barrier, she unleashes a blast of lightning that split in the middle to skip the barrier. It converges itself into several different more arcs, each trying to reach Reimu to crash into her!

The ofuda that lay flat against the ground in front of Reimu burst open when the lightning reaches them, throwing up a wall of barriers for the lightning to crash against. The original barrier that was skipped explodes in a flash of light.

Reimu seems to be focusing on something.

Sarah is fast enough to anticipate that, but she's still sent skidding back. Putting her hand on the ground, she up the ante by attempting to get a lightning pillar from the heavens to strike Reimu, bypassing all those annoying barriers.

But to deal with them, she begins circling around the battlefield, tossing plasma beams and lightning blasts all over the place.

Other!Edelgard stops what she is doing to look at the portal. Normally, she wouldn't brace for a fight, but after pushing herself so much so far this day, she's a tad more ready than usual- not in terms of fighting ability, but in terms of her outlook.

When a person steps out of that portal, she meets them with a perhaps somewhat uncharacteristic glare.

She cuts right to the chase.

"You don't look like you've been here before. Tell me what you're here for, and I'll tell you where you are."

They squirmed and stepped back a bit, as they kind of got in a "scared" stance

"U-uhh- I was just curious and wandered in! I'll leave right now if you want-"

You know how ki fighters can manipulate their own life energy?

Reimu can manipulate other people's.

The barriers start to fall under the assault, and the pillar of lightning comes down and strikes Reimu. She winces as she's engulfed in the crackling wave of energy, but it doesn't break her concentration.

"MmmmmmmmAAAAGH!"

She raises a fist as she tries to throw Sarah's internal energy way out of wack, before slamming it to the ground, trying to send her hurtling to the ground as well.

Sarah yelps in pain, facing a shock that she's never experienced before, and she gets thrown into the ground and into a wall as a result.

Facing some brief shock, she decides that Reimu's gotten serious, and that she has to act now or face defeat. With a cry, Sarah raises her fist and the darkening sky above begins to crackle with black lightning. And as she slams her fist down, it descends to try and impact Reimu.

There's no sound.

There's hardly even a sight to identify.

One moment there's Reimu and the ground she's standing on, the next there's... nothing, unless she act up. But at the very least, the black lightning vaporize the area in front of Sarah, punching a huge hole through the ground and causing lava to appear around its edge and depth, by sheer intensity.

Sarah leaps into the air and clad herself in black lightning, preparing a second blow!

Her eyes snap open, and she kicks off the ground not a moment too soon. Sparkling graze particles fly off of her, as she floats centimeters from the roiling lance of lightning, her hair whistling as it's whipped around by the force of the attack.

...

Reimu's form is almost lost in the smoke, lava, and debris kicked up by that last attack. Covered in sparks as her brow furrows, focused on trying to lock down Sarah's position. She uses her current control over her energy to try and keep her still, for just one important moment.

The near-forgotten gunstaff, now back in its gun form, orbited and enhanced by the Yin-Yang Orbs, slowly tilts itself forwards to aim at Sarah's solar plexus...

*BANG!*

and fires a devastatingly deadly, piercing energy bullet.

Sarah is frozen in place and get shot right through it, causing her to bleed from the mouth quickly... but she shrugs that off and hurl a black devastating lighting spear her way, though she coughs a little in disbelief at the power behind the blow.

My body isn't... a human body, hah!

She calls down on several spears of black lightning over Reimu's positions, and then emits more bolts from her own body, while tossing about a hundred plasma projectiles from all over her body. With her fingers, she forms shining blades of lights which she sweeps all over the place in abandon. Atoms are split, forming mighty explosions over the already-present explosions.

Sarah will be damned if she can't get Reimu to at least go all out!

Edelgard sighs.

"Wait a minute. That came off a little harsh, didn't it? I did not mean to scare you away, I just did not feel like dealing with any... potential foes. Not that I am saying you are one of those, of course."

She keeps it in her mind that this stranger may yet be a potential foe, but does not say so.

"You say you came here out of curiosity? Were you the one who created the portal you entered from?"

Happy to oblige.

As Sarah rears up to go beyond her limits, Reimu touches down, curtsies, and closes her eyes to focus her senses. A faint and flickering white aura, pops up below her Seishinken one, before it too fades and Reimu falls back to base form.

She twists and turns, dancing around the spears of black lightning that blow away her surroundings. Once the plasma projectiles start to reach her, she hops off the ground and begins navigating around them, appearing like a flickering flash of red weaving through the maelstrom of blasts, slowly climbing closer to Sarah.

Not entirely employing her conscious mind, she flickers deep red and blue at points, avoiding the wide-ranging explosions by dipping up and down through the fourth dimensional axis.

Her eyes snap open as she throws out her arm, a giant glyph shining behind her!

" Ultimate Barrier Sign ~ Big Rip Boundary !"

Reimu's magic whorls into a hellish maelstrom as she tries to split Sarah in half by bending space itself!

Sarah's eyes widen and she's spatially split in half, not even her being strong enough to resist its laws. She briefly look shocked, and then power down back to normal, immediately falling unconscious.

Even in that state though, and should she remains separated, tentacles... urgh, emerges from her severed halves to pull her together. She's still unconscious though, and only vaguely grunt in acknowledgement when (if) she's made whole again.

Reimu passes right through Sarah's split halves as she passes by, hitting the ground with a three-point landing right as her pieces do.

KO!

"..."

Turning around and looking down at the body (bodies?), she winces when she realizes what she just did.

"Um. Sorry. That might have been a little much."

She decides to stick around until Sarah's woken up.

"No, it appeared in front of me and I was just-"

They're getting a bit more nervous.

Edelgard raises her hands gently, as if distancing herself from the newcomer.

"It's alright, really. This place is... relatively safe, at least. I won't hurt you."
