Samsara dodge two, but get stabbed in the guts by the third. However, she attempts to stab at his tail with the wrymslayer, and Garon finally make his appearance, bursting out of the fortress to try to slam Bolverk into Ridley's face !

Chloé get slashed, and seems to take nasty damage out of it, but tries to grab Wolf and attempts to smash him unto the ground ! Gangrel attempts to stab him with a leap afterwards.

Meanwhile, the sheperds get hit by Ganon's strike, with only Xander and Donnel somewhat surviving it. Still, Donnel is stunned, and so is Xander, forcing Morgan to attempt another Thoron !

Ridley goes tumbling away. He snarls at Garon.

Wolf gets slammed around, but... "Wolf Pack!"

A large targeting reticle appears over the space with Chloé and Gangrel in it. Then Wolf's Wolfen flies through that space on autopilot, followed by a trio of other Wolfen, trying to ram into the two of them. If successful, Wolf will jump into his Wolfen and initiate his Final Smash.

Those caught in the Final Smash are sent into orbit like with Ridley's, but instead of landing on a ship they float aimlessly through space. Then Team Star Wolf (the Wolfen pilots) will fly in as Wolf declares, "Grahaha! The hunt is on, boys!" followed by Star Wolf blasting the shit out of the opponents, creating an explosion to send them flying. Then Wolf and the opponents are suddenly returned down to the ground.

Ganondorf dodges this Thoron and attempts to grab Morgan with a Flame Choke.

Constant Flux!

Tanjiro breaks off in a sprint towards Ridley, trailing water effects behind him that take the form of an Eastern dragon, with a series of rotating slashes. Each swing carries more force than the last, and if he manages to strike Ridley with one, he will immediately change targets to Ganondorf, then Wolf.

Narktus is briefly caught off-guard by Krampus' request, but he reaches out to shake the demon's hand.

"You have my word."

Krampus pulls his hand back, giving Narktus a brief bow.

   "My thanks Narktus. Before you go, you will need to know her name of course. She is Filia, Princess of Hell. I have much to prepare for, unless you have anything else to ask I request you leave."   

Samsara bleeds, but still stand. Garon notices Tanjiro's approach and smiles eerily, interested in the youth's power, as he attempts to strike Ridley with his axe. Furthermore, Oboro emerges, attempting to attack Ridley with her naginata, having seemingly been near Garon before deciding to leap in.

Unfortunately for Wolf, Gangrel dodge. And while Chloé get struck, she's able to survive the assault, though she get grounded for now. Still, this allows the Mad King to attempt an attack with the Levin Blade !

Takumi and Noire shoot at Ganondorf, who might have a problem approaching Morgan since Scarlet is in the way and promptly attempt to axe him right in the face !

Tanjiro cuts into Ridley, who survives. Then he follows up on Ganondorf, who, due to the increased force and the other attacks coming at him, does not.

Finally, he goes for Wolf, who, seeing the effects of Constant Flux on the other two, tries to get out of the way... but thanks to the Levin Sword strike, he fails. The dragon's watery maw is the last thing he sees before being turned into a trophy, as Tanjiro skids to a halt and collapses from exhaustion.

Out of desperation, Ridley tries to Skewer Garon with the tip of his tail, dealing massive damage comparable to that of a Final Smash (but not actually a Final Smash) if he connects.

"Understood. That will be all."

Narktus turns away and disappears.

Donnel attempts to catch Tanjiro.

Erm, nice job, bud !

Garon get struck, but doesn't seem to mind the sheer pain and incap that is bound to follow. Instead, he allows Samsara to jump over him, using his shoulders to jump over to Ridley in an attempt to slash him in half with her sword !

Shadow shrugs.

   "Ah, I see. Specifics about the Heavens and Hells of different worlds tend to vary, so it was worth hazarding a guess. Humility is, despite the rather arrogant claims of someone that I just got done talking with before I ran into you guys, a really helpful thing for a Deity to have. And, as for Satani, that's pretty interesting. I wasn't sure how different Satani would be from the usual depiction of the Devil, which stays remarkably persistent through a majority of universes, though just as many divert in completely new and curious ways. It's also cool to hear about that mark. I suppose, as you said, it's great to make up for what was essentially an extra limb that you're now missing."   

He flashes a grin, tilting his head.

   "Well, hey, I'm not against letting other Deities know when they're really in the wrong. This whole situation sounded like a mistake made long before I even got involved, but I'm glad it's turned out the way it is. As I said, it's been a bit of a drag-on day, with a lot of significant encounters and important information. Being able to chat with you like this is great."   

He then blinks, and gives a small smile when Areui says he doesn't completely hate Kirue, nodding.

   "Well, it's good to hear there's progress. It'll be more genuine if it happens at its own natural pace, so I won't try to rush you. I know that saying things have likely been rough between you after the incident is probably the understatement of the century, but I'm happy to hear things are starting to improve."   

He then listens intently to the story, and winces at the very mention of children being involved with this endeavor, looking more alarmed with every detail. By the end of it, he's clutching his shoulder, and he has a deep, contemplative look in his eyes. After a few moments of thought, he looks to the pair, and sighs.

   "...well, that is a problem...it seems many fatal mistakes were made for things to get this bad. The faith these...'fanatics' follow clearly drove them to make some reprehensible decisions, and the fact that children are among their number is quite frankly distressing to me, more so that some of them were counted among the casualties. However, I know that, no matter how wild a being, animalistic and intelligent alike, acts, it's often simply in the name of survival, not for any truly malicious purpose. And the part about this new Demonic version of yourself arising from half of this 'Alex' character's soul? Well...what'd happen to him if you just straight-up wipe out the other half? I don't know how the specific magics work in your world, but that'd probably have significant consequences. There's gotta' be a way to resolve this without what basically amounts to partial animacide."   

Tanjiro is caught.

Ridley, still winding down from the successful Skewer, is sliced by Samsara's sword. Actual blood sprays out for a brief moment, and then he, too, turns into a trophy.

Reyna emerges from the flames of the Wolfen firing run. "Okay... anyone else?"

Silence seems to answer.

"Phew." Reyna goes and picks up Nezuko, then carries her inside.

The sheperds gathers their wounded, but those who are still on their feet guard the trophies... just in case.

What a fight. Says Morgan. But it was close, even with reinforcements...

Caster stumbles backwards as the blade cleaves through its head, setting fire to the shadowy smoke. The Lightning Storm comes to a stop and is replaced by a barrage of dual-casted Thunderbolts.

Enda closes the range with Archer and begins carving it with power attacks from both of her swords. Archer shoots at her from point blank, but at this point her life-leeching sword is healing her faster than the attacks can damage her.

Reaper staggers in pain and opens its maw again to devour even more of Awkeff's soul, trying to force her into melee range.

   "No you don't!"    Figuring that being hurt by the swarm of restless spirits is better than having her soul devoured, Awkeff dives down at the Reaper, performing an outward-sweeping double slash to its neck with both her swords at once.

Spreading the wings granted to him by Sapphire Starlight, Viserys flies straight up just in time to evade the oncoming Thunderbolts before swooping towards the Caster and attempting to slam a fireball into its undead face.

"Humility is something our Gods usually only show when a Divine Guardian shows up to pay them a visit.", Kirue says. "Usually that's the Great Light, though a little while ago we've had the Divine Guardian of Fate come by. No idea what they talked about though, as they didn't want to see anyone but the Gods, so it was all in private."

"Ugh... the Divine Guardian of Fate gives me the creeps.", Areui says. "They tend to act really weird around people, even when the situation is serious. And their voice is creepy."

"When they came by Heaven and saw Areui, they ruffled his hair with three of their hands and affectionately called him 'a raven no longer clipped', then gave him a rock they found on the ground and walked away.", Kirue says, smirking teasingly in a brotherly way. Areui's embarrassed glare towards Kirue makes him laugh a little.

"None of us can figure out why they gave me a rock. I'd say it's random, but it's Fate, so we can't even be sure if it means anything or if they're messing with me.", Areui says once he turns back to Shadow.

"Anyway, moving on from that subject... I really do appreciate this mark. It lets me fight in a way I'm used to, and very differently from other Angels, which tends to catch any invading Lapsus off guard. I do fight them if I have to. I won't serve the Gods, but that doesn't mean I'll let them harm other Angels."

He then sighs.

"Thanks. My friend Yazur's been a great help with that. He's all for me reconnecting with Kirue, and he knows how to calm me down if it looks like I'm about to get angry."

"If it weren't for him, I'm not sure you'd have given me a chance.", Kirue says. "I owe him a lot."

Areui then smiles.

"Oh, there's no need to worry about that. There have been multiple events in the past of our realm where souls are damaged and split, usually due to unholy artifacts, like my Gems, rebounding against the people trying to use them. It's mentioned in recorded history that, once a part of your soul is severed from you, it does not impact your state of being, as long as you can manage with the soul part you have left."

"In other words, killing Devil Areui will not negatively impact Alex. Trust me, I know his parents personally, and we're on good terms. I would not go through with this if Alex was going to suffer from it.", Kirue says. "And how can you call him killing 4 people, an attempted 6 actually, 4 of which children, a case of survival? If that was the only time something like this happened, I could be inclined to believe you, but we've had reports of Devil Areui attacking other people in here too, regardless of if they attacked him first."

"Shadow, I know what it's like to be hunted. And not just by Kirue. There have been others too...", Areui says, looking troubled. "If... if this situation really was like mine, I wouldn't be defending what we're doing. That's another me out there, but with only my darkest emotions. You don't know just how dangerous that is."

Whiterun

Jessie, James and Meowth, disguised as a couple with a baby in a stroller, enter the hotel, glancing around from behind their sunglasses. The signal they had picked up had led them here, and they had to be careful.

Hotel del Rey

SI!Rey comes down the steps from the second floor at just the right (wrong?) time to see the Rocket Trio enter the building.

For a split-second, he ignores them due to their disguises, but then he does a Double Take.

He slowly reaches for his pockets...

Neither Jessie nor James notices SI!Rey reaching for his pockets, having walked past him already.

"Alright, looks like the coast is clear.", Jessie whispers.

"Now we just have to find an entrance.", James whispers.

Rey calms down slightly at the notion that they're ignoring him - God knows he wouldn't want to try fighting multiple trained Pokémon alone - but still pulls his controllers out of his pockets. As he brandishes them, they turn into post-apocalyptic-style firearms.

"Hey!" he yells as he approaches Team Rocket. "I know who you are! What are you doing here?"

Deep Reprium

A wizardly cackle echoes throughout a small, yet dense, grove.

Team Rocket freezes for a moment. Then, however, they smirk and turn around, removing their disguises in one fell swoop, as usual.

"So it seems that we've been found out."

"Which means it's motto time, without a doubt."

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all peoples within our nation."

"To denounce-"

"Can it, you two!", Meowth interrupts. "He's got guns!"

Jessie and James pause, then look nervous.

"... I don't suppose Wobbuffet can Counter bullets, can it?", James asks.

"I kinda doubt it.", Jessie says.

Meowth then motions with his arms to try to keep the situation as calm as it can be.

"Hey now, lower dose guns, kid. We ain't here for evil reasons."

A small but glorious light starts to form in the skies above that grove.

Despite his initial intimidation display, Rey stifles a chortle at the Rocket Trio's antics, covering his mouth as he does so.

Still, he puts his guns back into his pockets, where they turn back into controllers.

"Alright, then what are you here for? I could, hypothetically, help you, but not if you try and force me to."

"Eeyagh! Who's making this light?!" cries a wizardly voice.

The trio turns to one another, silently pondering amongst themselves if they should fill him in on their mission.

They all agree to test his knowledge on the situation first.

"Seeing as you recognized us, exactly how familiar are you with Team Rocket?", Jessie asks.

That light grows larger and larger, until a beam of divine light suddenly comes down from the heavens, landing a little further into the grove.

Rey scratches the back of his head, unsure how to phrase his response.

"I've watched a few episodes of... let's call it an animated series... that chronicles the adventures of you, the twerps, and some other recurring characters. I've also played video games set in the same universe which feature Team Rocket or similar evil teams, but not your group specifically."

A creepy-looking wizard guy◊ emerges into the path of the light, covering his eyes with one arm.

"Enough! WHO DARES TRESPASS ON THE STOMPING GROUNDS OF I.M. MEEN?!"

"A TV show? About us?", James asks, the three of them suddenly looking really thrilled.

"My beautiful self on the big screen... ah, how did we never come across this show before?", Jessie says, trapped in a moment of vanity.

"We have to meet the guy or gal who makes that show someday.", Meowth says.

"Wobbu!", Wobbuffet says, emerging from his Poke Ball, equally thrilled. Mimikyu, however, also emerges, and hisses at the four to tell them to get their act together. They're startled enough by how sudden it is that they remember what they came here for.

"Ah, right."

"Then, in that case, are you familiar with an alternate group of Rockets who use Shadow Pokemon to battle?"

"Who, you asketh? Why...", a voice rings from the light as a figure descends. When the light fades, the figure becomes fully visible.

"Only the greatesthe mastere of puzzlesth, Rouxls Kaard!"

"Team GO Rocket, right? I remember, a few days ago I encountered one of their grunts. He had to work together with my friends to fight a bigger enemy, though."

He recounts the tale of the Terminator fight, based on second-hand information learned from Erma and Ami after the fact. He makes sure to refer to the Terminator as just "a dude who is actually a robot" so they can understand it.

"They said it came out of a big portal in the sky."

"No!"

Rouxls Kaard's dramatic theme abruptly cuts out

"Master of puzzles? FOOL! WRETCHED WORM! YOU ARE NOTHING TO I, THE GREATEST MASTER OF MAGIC ALIVE, I.M. MEEN!"

I.M. Meen launches into his signature Villain Song.

After the trio listens, they, along with Wobbuffet, look at one another again for a few seconds, while Mimikyu appears impatient.

Eventually they nod and turn back to Rey.

"We have reasons to believe that Team GO Rocket is hiding in this hotel somewhere."

"We're going to sneak into their base."

"And disrupt their Shadow Pokemon plans."

"Wobbu!"

"Worm!? How dareth thou, strange fool! I, Rouxls Kaard, amst the greatesteth puzzle maker outst thereth! It is YOU who areth the worm! Gah ha ha ha!", Rouxls Kaard replies, his theme suddenly kicking in again. "Thou fighteth with a bookst!? How mundane. Truee puzzles cometh inst physical formeth. Beholdeth!"

In a flash of light, a block appears on the ground. In front of that block is a small grey square.

"Toil, worm, and be fillst with fear!"

Rey sighs. "I believe you... and I might know where they are. Follow me."

He attempts to lead the Rocket Trio over to a stairwell, then goes down the stairs to the basement.

I.M. Meen sneers at Rouxls Kaard, folding his arms indignantly.

"Ha! You call this a puzzle?!"

He shoves the block onto the grey square.

"You are a simpleminded fool! Behold, the trial of a true wizard!"

Meen holds up his magic book, and a door sealed by magic appears in front of Rouxls Kaard. An inscription on it reads: Spell "icup" out loud

Jessie, James and Meowth look surprised by what Rey says. Since they don't have any leads though, they do decide to follow them after Jessie recalls Wobbuffet and Mimikyu. As they follow him, they remain wary, just in case it's a trap. The guy did point guns at them after all.

"How do you know where they might be?", Meowth inquires as they descend the stairs.

Rouxls Kaard looks genuinely shocked when I.M. Meen solves the puzzle so easily.

"GOD... DAMNIT! I-"

He then pauses as he looks at I.M. Meen's book, narrowing his eyes in confusion.

"'I' 'Ceeth' 'U' 'Peesth'?"
