Erma makes a small grunt and shakes her head 'no'.

She's equally clueless. It's definitely not her hometown of Blairwood or the yokai village her extended family is from.

"You are...? Much appreciated, but am I really at risk of being attacked by some random person on sight?"

Hm.

What now? ... Well, when she met Geo, it was in a similar middle-of-nowhere sort of place... but this isn't quite the middle of nowhere. But what it lacks in wilderness it makes up for in unrecognizability.

Erma, would you like to try and find out where we are?

Erma nods. She begins levitating off the ground, and offers a hand to Ami to come up with her.

She gladly takes the hand up.

"Iha!"

Erma rises high into the sky with Ami in tow.

Under the moon's light, she squints and puts a hand over her eyes like a sun visor, trying to make sense of the surrounding area.

"Oooh!"

Ami looks around as well, and nope none of this is familiar.

It's snowy? The architecture doesn't ring any bells, either.

Erma thinks the same. From the vantage point, she does notice a standing landmark on the outskirts of Whiterun - a certain familiar hotel. She points at it to get Ami to look in that direction.

Ami looks, and, well, it doesn't seem much different? Her analysis of it is mostly the same as the city itself... relative to her. But, upon really looking at it, it doesn't seem like it fits in even here.

Erma nods and descends in the direction of the hotel, dragging Ami along for the ride.

Weeee!

Wait, she should check...

poof!

Okay, her magic works. How did she get here, anyways? She didn't just wander along. She was just suddenly... here.

Blairwood, vague U.S.A. She's not sure where exactly. She's also not sure exactly how she ended up here, but she does know that the surrounding buildings look like they belong in one part of her world and the building they're floating over to looks like it belongs in a completely different part of it.

Erma lands outside the hotel and gestures to Ami. You first.

Wow! She recognizes none of those terms! Well, whatever – she steps into the hotel.

"Ha!"

Oh, it's modern! That's good.

At that precise moment, SI!Rey wanders into the lobby, looking to grab some midnight snacks from the front desk.

He pauses as he sees Erma and Ami.

Then he mumbles something incoherent as he turns right the fuck around.

Erma holds out her hand. Wait-!

"Ah!"

She scrambles after him once a second passes – he might know what's going on here!

Wait, please! Mister... mister person who reminds her of Geo? In a way, somehow?

Hotel

Dylan walks out, takes out Traveler (A Keyblade that has a portal motif), and whacks the vending machine, the glass opening. He takes a few Honeybuns before noticing what's going on.

"Oh. Hi."

Erma glances over at Dylan, but Rey all-but ignores his presence. He takes a hesitant step toward the way to his room before caving in to the princess's cuteness.

"All right, what do you want?"

He really, really badly wants to refer to Ami and Erma by name just to see if they make any hilarious reaction faces, but he's holding himself back for fear of being utterly annihilated by Erma.

She glances at Dylan before turning back to Rey – Erma can deal with him, right?

Uh, you, Geo-looking person! Is it possible that you know where this is? Because we don't!

She punctuates the line of questioning with an "Ah!"

Hotel

Dylan simply blinks, shrugs, and moves to go back to his room.

"... Okay, first, I don't think I look like Geo. He has spiky white hair," Rey points out, gesturing to his long curly locks the color of unsweetened coffee.

Erma scratches her head. Who's Geo and why do these two both know him?

The exact moment Rey realizes he might've just said too much is visible on his face.

Ami goes full smug anime girl. "Oh?" Oh, you have nothing to do with Geo? And the other-place he came from? "Oh?"

She thinks you're probably another one of them... whatchemacallits, at least. Hoomans?

Rey throws his hands up in defeat. "Okay, I know who Geo is. Ami, Erma, I also know both of you and some of the things you've been through. Can we skip the whole getting-to-know-you thing now?"

Erma raises one index finger, a sign of her continued confusion. It's clear she's starting to get exasperated.

Ami thinks for a second, before quickly shaking her head.

"Ahu!"

We'd like to know what's going on? You don't have to say anything you aren't, like, comfortable with, but like could you please tell us whatever you can?

Is this human-world?!

Rey thinks about it.

"This place is a sort of melting pot of realities. Anyone from any universe can show up here, even if they're fiction in someone else's universe. The landscape also changes from time to time. No, I wouldn't call this 'human-world' or I'm pretty sure you'd be crushed by the physics of this place on the spot. At least, I think that's how it would work."

Erma scratches the back of her head.

"... Please don't hurt me."

She shakes her head and waves her hands in front of her. Wasn't planning on it!

Ew, crushed?! No wonder Geo is so STRONG if he had to live his whole life a place like that!

"Ah?"

So it's like some sort of... crossover? And we're all just... huh, are we fiction?

"Errrrr... Yes, it's a crossover, but..."

Erma puts a hand on Ami's shoulder. Of course we're not fiction! Maybe there are fictional depictions of us, but that's just some kind of cosmic coincidence.
