The Final Battle

Captain Falcon arrives on the scene, along with Mario!

Iron Man appears on the scene, along with Bruce Banner, of all people.

Huh... you sure about this ?

Yeah. I trained for this, the big guy thinks that they gotta go and... ya know.

You know, that's really irresponsible and dangerous to everyone involved, right ?

Well, that's why I thought about you when thinking up of that plan.

Ooooooooooh. Where did you get that acerb ?

Windhelm

"Anyway, I'll let you resume your... fun now. Your name's Baldur, correct? I suppose I shall see you when it comes time for our battle."

Raising his hood once more, Viserys proceeds to depart from Windhelm, his cloak dramatically billowing behind him in the wind as he does so. While the Nord Dragonborn was glad to have successfully recruited such a powerful ally against Farandare, especially after the loss of Reyna, he inwardly prayed to both the Divines and even the less malicious Daedric Princes that this alliance with Baldur wouldn't prove to be a fatal mistake... or that Lucina wouldn't give him an earful for it.

"Then again, that red-haired barbarian should be able to deal with him in the event that he turns on us..."

The Final Battle

The young madoka would arrive on scene, in her magical girl garb, Alongside homura. The two young ladies move in together, Speaking to eachother as they go. (Madoka is pink, Homura is purple) "Homura, Are you sure you want to fight this? It looks really strong..." Homura smirks menacingly upon hearing that. "We've fought much worse, Madoka. This thing isn't walpurgisnacht. With the two of us, and our allies beside us, It wont stand a chance." Homura would pull out a rocket launcher from behind her shield, while Madoka brings her bow out, the two standing back to back.

Lord Of The Tower

The Oroshi Kirin emits an eerie whinny as the barrage of fireballs impacts it, visibly dealing severe damage to the cold-affiliated beast. A field of whirling ice and cold, not dissimilar to Farandare's own Frost Cloak spell, surrounds it as it charges at Ridley, horn lowered with the intention to brutally gore its foe. If successful, Ridley will take additional damage from standing in the storm and has a chance to be afflicted with a dangerous chilling numbness, fatiguing him and impeding his movements, especially attempts at flight.

Dance With Death In The Coral Highlands

A mistake it does turn out to be, as Farandare's dagger strikes like a venomous snake at Kirin, aiming to eviscerate. In addition to severe sneak-boosted damage from the deadly tempered weapon, a single strike has a chance of bringing the Kirin all the way to death's door and will additionally ensnare its soul for capture into one of Farandare's soul gems upon death.

Mystia arrives on the scene, against her own better judgement. Every fiber of her being screams at her, trying to dissuade her from once again facing the horrifying threat she senses here, the abomination that had last time reduced the cool and composed diva into a sobbing and pitiful wreck desperately running for her life, and yet...

She has to see this through, and this time, there will be no more running.

At least that's what she tries to tell herself.

Thranix's Bizarre Adventure

   "I'm glad to see that you're all willing to aid me without... immediately trying to kill me. Our main target would be the old Gateway Ruins deeper into the island — that's where the heart of the distortion is. You may not be able to see it, but I have a sort of... sense, for this kind of thing."   

"And we are supposed to trust you?"

Iraaxos pushed himself away from his tree with a clawed hand.

   "I have seen the horrors you have survived, that you have destroyed, Thranix. I know better than to trifle with you in particular."   

Thranix crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and sighed in a way that suggested this answer was good enough for him.

"Alright then. How shall we ge—"

His words stopped in his throat as he Iraaxos stepped away from the tree, grasping the staff.    "I would recommend that you hold on to your asses, gentlemen,"    he said. A snap of his claws later, and the group found themselves around fifty feet in the air over the beach. They lingered for a brief second like a cartoon, during which time Iraaxos added a thought.

   "If any of you can fly, I recommend you do so now."   

Thranix's eyes went wide as he unfurled his wings and held out his arms for his allies to grab on to, should they need it. "Ah, shit..."

"You'll find many such individuals in this realm, I would think. Have you considered using the bounty boards?" she replied, her voice ringing with an exhausted and dry humor. She watched Rho struggle, but eventually he managed to get the Wyvern Esper into a standing position on his own. She supposed she felt a twinge of pride for him, although she wasn't sure. She deliberated on something for a moment, during which time Rho spoke.

"So... where to now? Back to the hub city, or to that cold one, or—?"

"Hey... have you tried making this thing roar yet?"

"... Huh?"

"Actually, let's save that for a later time. Wanna see if you can pilot this thing back to that cold city?"

Rho nodded, and looked over at Domon and the Burning Gundam. "Do you mind accompanying us back in case I screw it up again?"

Megan then addressed Bec again, and said, "And you're welcome to come along if you want. Want being the key word here."

Ridley is sent tumbling away on impact. He snarls at the Oroshi Kirin, slowly crawling out of its storm's radius on all fours.

Ridley awaits an opening...

The Desire Sensor smiles upon you, Farandare.

Kirin is struck by the knife and is immediately knocked down, giving the impression that the special properties of the attack worked. Just as quickly, however, it gets up and responds by striking itself with lightning, imbuing itself with an electrical aura. Now any further attempts to hit it with melee will uselessly clang off.

   WHREEEEWEER   

It begins pacing around Farandare. A glowing blue spot appears under her feet that heralds the fall of an incoming lightning bolt.

The Final Battle: RED Confrontation

Pan arrives, the spirit of Face accompanying her.

Pan: "Sorry I'm late!"

Face gives a look of disdain.

RED:    "You come to face me... Do I not inspire fear deep into your very soul?"   

Pan simply nods her head a solid "no".

RED:    "I do. I can sense it."   

Melissa: "I never thought you would come back. I was helpless before. Not now! We will end you forever, RED!"

RED:    "How precious. You think you can end me in that feeble form? You stand no chance."   

Face: "You killed me. I don't take very kindly to that."

His face morphed into that of anger.

Solomon manifests from Captain Falcon, staring RED down.

Solomon: "It's over. I'm gonna kill you good for what you did to us."

RED:    "So be it! If you want to die so badly, Come at me!"   

Vs. RED

Conditions:

• Take your strongest team into this no-frills battle

Fierce Battle With RED

RED uses Hellfire, breathing a stream of fire set to hit all grounded opponents. If it hits, it activates a corrosive property that corrodes all it touches, similar to a powerful acid.

Angel jumps back, Beowulf and Incineroar following suit.

Pan apprehensively flies backwards before shooting off a warning Kamehameha.

Pan: "Ha!"

Captain Falcon stares down RED with fire in his eyes beneath his visor. "Solomon has the right idea. I, for one, am SICK and TIRED of being afraid of you!"

"Let's-a GO!"

The fighters leap up into the air. Mario attempts to smash one fist down right on RED's big, ugly forehead. Similarly, Captain Falcon goes for the infamous K N E E O F J U S T I C E (similar because both are their forward aerials).

You're a stepping stone, buddy.

Then RED promptly vomit hellfire, and Tony take off to avoid, deploying shoulder missiles and raising both his hands to prepare to fire repulsors.

A giant, fire breathing abomination of a stepping stone, huh... he says, firing away at RED.

There's a roar, and a figure leap out of the inferno, with pieces of armor coming out of it. The figure, soon revealed to be THE HULK, roar, attempting to reach RED's face and land right on it, as he did on Asgard, against another giant fire demon.

If it works, then the Hulk attempts to punch RED in the face !

HULK NO FEAR BIG MONSTER ! WILL MAKE IT SMALL !

Versus Red

As the fire approaches, Madoka dives out of the way, Drawing back her bow to fire some pink flaming arrows, being grazed on the leg. she doesn't seem bothered by it at all, and is fighting at full capacity. "We aren't afraid! We've been through much worse than you, even without this much help! Homura and I aren't afraid of some Big red Beast from hell's elder home after going through everything we did!" Homura, in the meanwhile, also rolls out of the way, going the opposite direction from madoka. Her shield would have part of it open up, and whir, as she lobs a series of rocket launchers out of her shield, Firing the one currently in hand. Suddenly a larger barrage of rockets would be fired, and the fired launchers would be scattered around homura's feet. "I'm not going to let madoka fall to you!"

Intrigue, Ready for adventure.

Everyone in the team would grab on to thranix and our good ol dragon, Preparing for their flight to their quest's destination.

The opening doesn't come. Oroshi prances around like a bull on crack cocaine, making itself quite difficult to hit, even if Ridley tries using his fireballs. Occasionally the unicorn stops to stomp the ground and send a trail of deadly sharp ice crystals from the ground towards Ridley in an attempt to skewer him, however, it always does so from a significant enough distance to make the window difficult to exploit.

Abandoning all pretense of being a "regular" hunter, Farandare blurs out of the way of the thunderbolt, laughing wickedly. She pulls out a Dragonbone bow and fires at the Kirin. The beast's frantic gallop throws her aim off a little, and it's clear that she's not really trying her best. Unless it has the ability to heal itself somehow, the Kirin is one attack away from death and Farandare is confident that at this point there's precious little it can do but flee.

Mystia is by no means grounded, and immediately takes flight to avoid the corrosive fire. She starts singing a song of glory and heroism to lift the spirits of the fighters present. Honestly, it's mostly to boost her own spirits, dangerously undermined from merely seeing RED's deathmask of a face again, and it shows, with her voice not quite having the same unworldly perfection it usually has.

Glacial Wastes

   "I'll come along. Or rather, I'll be watching."    Bec replied before seemingly vanishing in a flash of green.

   "Oh, right. HEY, LITTLE SHIT. I just remembered something!"   

Ridley turns giant and metal thanks to his equipped spirit, instantly going from slightly smaller than Oroshi Kirin to roughly twice its size. The metal alloy over his flesh allows him to tank its frosty attacks.

And his size gives him more power and reach. He promptly attempts to Skewer Oroshi Kirin with the tip of his tail from what the Elder Dragon had previously been considering a safe distance.

Oh, right, the electrical aura also completely negates physical projectiles. Whoops.

However, the Kirin then turns and begins limping toward the cliff, trying to retreat to its nest. Doesn't drop the aura, though.

Vs. RED

RED gets lightly battered by the rockets, arrows, repulsor blasts, and Kamehameha, grimacing.

Then he sees three fighters going for the face.

He charges forward, covered in a similar dark aura to his chases, attempting to plow through the assembled fighters.

Angel and Incineroar dove to either side.

Beowulf tries to smack RED's legs head-on with his chair, but it doesn't exactly work as intended. Instead, he and the chair get slammed back in two different directions, Beowulf heading for Incineroar and the chair headed for Angel.

Pan goes for a spam of Ki blasts, them battering off of RED and allowing him to slam right into her, knocking her back.

Captain Falcon is launched up into the sky by RED's charge, but just as quickly comes down at the hellbeast with a "Falcon Kick!"

Mario uses a Super Jump Punch to clear right over RED, but he takes some time to land after that.

Iron Man is hit and thrown aside, though he boost himself forward and attempt to slam into RED, using pistons to increase his strength.

Hulk attempts to use his mighty strength to hang on to RED. If it works, he attempts to punch him right in the face. If not, he flail around angrily and get back up, angered... more so than usual.

Words cannot describe the look on the Oroshi's face. It immediately goes for its final trump card. The temperature in the area drops dramatically as Oroshi tries to create a freezing field around Ridley, which - if lingered in too long - would freeze him completely and utterly, a thick layer of ice holding him in place like a statue.

Tragically, Oroshi - for all its power - is still a beast. It fails to consider the amount of time and power it would take to freeze Omega Ridley, taking into account his power and his steel shell. Before the freezing field can finish its work, the Skewer hits true through Oroshi's chest, inflicting catastrophic damage and causing the poor beast to whinny in immense pain.

Despite the failure of her arrows, Farandare merely grins as she stalks the beast down, once again almost melding into the scenery. The unfortunate Kirin may not even realize that it's effectively inviting its predator into its own home. She licks her lips in anticipation of the kill. She does so love it when they try to run.

Mystia is able to vault over RED's massive bulk with a flap of her wings and directs a loud screech at him, creating a cone of sound aimed at his head with the intention to stun and disorient him.

Ridley flies straight through the frost and spews an explosion of fire at Oroshi Kirin, before promptly getting frozen in a block of ice - and then shrinking back down while inside it, leaving him stuck smacking against the inner walls like a pissed-off animal in a glass cage. His muffled voice shouts from within,    "There's... probably something ironic about this!"

Well, this is certainly annoying to Farandare - probably. The Kirin jumps up the cliff like a goat, leaving Farandare to either climb the vines or find another way up. Then its path back to its nest is a long one with a lot of jumping around between platforms that vaguely resemble giant fungi, before finally climbing up another even taller cliff, where it comes to its nest among the clouds and curls up to sleep.

Madoka would run further away from Red's charge, Nocking more arrows as she runs. She's preparing to unleash a hail of them. "Nice going homura! Now, Get something else going!"

Homura would nod, as another blink happens. Some artillery would now be set up, all aimed at red. Homura would grin, as she suddenly moves again, all of the artillery fired at once. All Six artillery pieces. "I was saving those for walpurgisnacht, but at this rate, I Might as well use them!"

Vs. RED

RED seems to have everything about to hit him, Hulk latched on, everything going wrong...

Then he vanishes.

He appears where he was before he began his charge, taking the chance to further disorient his opponents using Dark Memory. He releases a dark haze, along the ground, with anyone caught in it seeing disturbing visions of those they love; Or worse, of what they fear...

He then notices that Iron Man, Pan, and Mystia in the air, breathing Hellfire at the three of them.

Pan dodges the Hellfire, taunting RED non-verbally before spamming him with more Ki blasts.

I'll write for Angel, Incineroar, and Beowulf next turn.

Whatever Hulk sees, he does not like it, going by his increase in muscle mass.

GRAAGHHHH ! he yell. Especially angry, he leap out, toward the sky. This is also where Tony go, to avoid the Hellfire.

Captain Falcon stays out of the haze's way and tries to up smash RED.

Mario, however, gets a quick look at the Mushroom Kingdom in ruin. Bowser actually winning... for keeps. He's spooked.

Oroshi never gets to abuse Ridley's trapped state. As it was already weakened from the Skewer, the powerful attack abusing its greatest weakness pulverizes the creature, leaving little left but its sturdy horn, shining under the moonlight now peeking through the storm clouds.

Farandare comes to slightly regret letting the creature flee, especially when it forces her to crawl up the vines in a way she finds quite undignified for a great vampire sovereign such as herself and future ruler of Skyrim - no, Tamriel itself. Once again, she finds herself pining for the wings so enjoyed by her bitter rivals. But not for much longer. Yes, not for much longer, indeed. She comforts herself with that thought.

Unsurprisingly, when she finally finds the Kirin curled up in its nest, she is fresh out of patience. She promptly changes to her mage robes. There is a spell she needs to try, one she does not get to use all too often. This pest forced her to get leaves and dirt all over her immaculate armor. It deserves the most extreme death she can offer. Time to make its rest final.

With a first drawn-out magical ritual, Farandare creates a single, massive crystal of ice that she plants right next to the Kirin.

Then, a second, equally drawn out ritual. Immense power builds up within the crystal, ready to burst, until, finally...

Farandare snaps her fingers.

The resulting explosion of icy death shakes the entire highlands, making the blast she unleashed against Reyna in Castle Volkihar look like a wet firecracker in comparison.

Seeing the hellfire aimed her way, Mystia immediately dives down. This proves to be a fatal mistake. She fails to notice the fumes, or perhaps is unaware of their effect, and gets caught dead-on in the illusions...

Highperch is a crumbling ruin. Her body broken, her dress in tatters, Mystia covers in horror behind a fallen painting. It's herself, with a boy in a striped shirt, wearing a baseball cap. They are both smiling. Tears fill her eyes. The sound of thundering footsteps approaches fast. So does a child's voice, incongruously cheerful for the situation, carrying a distorted echo.

"Mommy, oh where are you, mommy? Are we playing hide-and-seek now? You know I'll find you, Mommy Mystia. You know I always find you."

Mystia can only whimper. The footsteps stop dangerously close. A giant golden sword cleaves the painting right through the middle, between her and the boy. The stuff of nightmares peeks through.◊

"Found you."

Ridley finally breaks out of the icy prison and tumbles out onto the Oroshi Kirin's remains, which he hastily scoops up into his arms.

Kirin

Slayed!

The corpse is surprisingly intact, although it's missing a leg... and its eyes... and there's a huge hole in its midsection.
