Lucina and Samsara sheath their sword and out walk Ryoma, carrying Falcon's trophy one handed. Samsara raises her arms but then is surprised when she figures out that Ryoma is accompanied by two new persons.

Both Lucina and Samsara quickly recognize them as both Takumi and Oboro, two Einherjars fighters. They quickly hide their shock though.

You've made friends on the way here, Ryoma ?

Haha, indeed. answers Ryoma. This is my brother Takumi. Here is his retainer, Oboro.

Hello. answers the woman on the right, smiling at the duo.

Tsk. grunts Takumi, looking aside.

Lucina blinks a little but then turns towards her father, grateful.

Kukri does one last warp, appearing next to the downed Inkling.

Kukri: "Yo. You okay there?"

He crouches, manifesting a small stick from sand to poke her with.

Piranha Plant rushes over and gives Squirtle's trophy a smol boop with his leaf, de-trophifying it.

Oblivia

Revenge lands, observing the large beacon and the sudden base.

Revenge: "The hell is this?"

Bandana Waddle Doo runs up next to him; However, his comrades nor the Hakkeshu are with him. He waves at Revenge.

Revenge: "Hey there, little buddy."

In an infirmary in Oblivia, the Masked Man is lying down on a bed, looking annoyed.

"Well, your body seems to have healed, according to these machines of... which I don't really know what they're called.", Picky◊ says.

"Which I could've told you."

"But your arm and wings are still out of commision. You can't fight with just one arm."

"Watch me.", the Masked Man says as he sits back up, shifting his right arm into a broken arm cannon. Picky looks concerned.

"I-I didn't mean that as a challenge or anything, you should really wait until your arm and wings get fixed."

"And how long would that take if probably every decent mechanist was struck by those beams.", he responds, deadpan.

"Y-you don't know that's true."

"Alright, bring one here within the day and I may honor your request.", he says, sounding sarcastic. Picky looks annoyed too now.

"For a stoic guy you sure have a terrible mood.", he accidentally says out loud, earning him a chilling, eye-glowing glare from the Masked Man.

"Uh-I-I mean, I-I'll go look for a mechanic! J-just don't leave, alright?"

"... 6 hours. If you're not back with someone by then, I'm out."

"R-right."

Picky turns to leave when the Masked Man suddenly gets out of bed.

"H-hey, you just said-"

"Be silent. My sensors are picking up a suspicious reading nearby. It may be another enemy. I'm going to fight."

"But-"

"I don't need my wings or cannon to fight, I have superhuman strength, the Shield Killer, PSI and a lightning sword. I'm going to fight, all that you can do is decide whether you join me or remain here."

He starts to walk towards the exit. Picky sighs.

"If... if I can't stop you, I should try to make sure you're safe at least...", he says, activating his jetpack, grabbing the Masked Man by his arms, and starting to fly towards the new base, basing his movement on the Masked Man's directions.

Floating City

A small portal forms and an orb emerges from it, which forms into the Great Light◊.

A second orb emerges from it before it closes, landing besides him as it forms into Des◊, who floats besides them.

"Well? What do you think?", the Great Light asks, looking nervous and anxious.

"I'm not sure what you're expecting me to be able to do here. This was clearly the work of a divine being, I can feel it in the air."

"Can you not use your powers to cut that being's thread of life?"

"It's a matter of chance really. If this being is on the same level as me, or higher, then no."

"Well, can you at least help me look? I'm in enough trouble already, this might be what tips the bucket."

"... first of, your vocabulary can be really strange. Second, this isn't really my problem. You caused the first disappearance through your negilence, and now you lost another one?"

"Multiple other ones. I had quite a few spirits roaming this place, and I can sense that a soul is missing from the Nothingness. Des, I beseech you. If this comes out..."

Des sighs.

"I'm on a strict schedule. I will see if I can help, but if anomalies occur and I'm needed elsewhere, I will leave."

"Thank you...", the Great Light says, turning back into an orb and floating around. Des, meanwhile, starts floating after him, opening her book.

"Damn this world and the irregularities it's caused already. It's going to give me even more overtime.", she snarls.

Above the Sanctuary

That crow from before is hanging out around there, having noticed Galeem's action and pondering to himself.

"Hm... should I, or should I not..."

"On it." Chrom touches Captain Falcon's trophy, and the Captain, restored to normal, flops to the ground.

Chrom turns to Kukri. "Let her rest. Being freed from the light can be painful, and unconsciousness is not uncommon as a result."

"Galeem summoned another one of his bosses. It's inside this base." Mega Man readies his Mega Buster and leads the way in.

Base

Mega Man wanders the halls of the base, Mega Buster at the ready.

"That's strange... there's nobody here. Not even Spirits. Was this a fake?"

Macready follows behind him. "Did... things get to this place before us?"

"I doubt there was time for anything or anyone else to enter this place. It didn't exist until moments ago."

"Still, I think we should stay on our guard. Things can assimilate living flesh into more of themselves, and they're shapeshifters."

"I'm a robot. They can't get to me."

After Picky and the Masked Man arrive, the latter walks into the base before the former can even suggest they wait to see if other people will arrive. Sighing again, he just follows.

Base

Picky, a little unnerved, sticks close to the Masked Man, who, to his relief, doesn't really appear bothered by this. The Masked Man, on the other hand, looks to be highly alert, glancing and looking ready every time he even hears a machine make noise.

"Don't be too fidgety and get your gear ready, in case of a surprise attack.", the Masked Man suddenly speaks up after a good while of silence, startling Picky for a moment. He realizes that the Masked Man is right though, and activates his gauntlet.

"I'll, uh, try to scan this place and see if there's others here."

"Good idea.", the Masked Man says, his compliment actually sounding genuine, to Picky's shock.

Hm... that guy's sense of fashion is pretty unique. admits Oboro, who's smile contort into an odd, half-smug, half-drunk facial expression.

You've got a lot of explaining to do, brother. sighs Takumi.

All in due time. says Ryoma. I trust that we can leave the scene, Exalt ? he asks Chrom, as Samsara helps Lucina with the ink.

Macready would nod towards Mega Man, and would reply while preparing his flamethrower, Saying "They might not be a problem for you, but they're a problem for just about anything which isn't a robot or a machine. Almost every cell of those things can act as their own body, and can assimilate others, and they're hard to kill without fire. You won't have to worry much, but just one of those would be a problem to almost everyone else."

With flamethrower lit, Macready would keep back to back with his Blue companion, noticing the masked man entering... he'd wave, but still keep his guard up somewhat...

Chrom nods. "I can handle the situation from here."

Mega Man overhears the dialogue going on from people seemingly unaware of his presence. He fires a Buster shot into the ceiling to get the attention of Picky and the Masked Man - immediately afterwards muttering a quick "Sorry!" to Macready - and then they come into a giant, spacious, hangar-like room.

A huge tank-like thing◊ is sitting in the middle of the room, chugging like an engine and letting off jets of steam.

Conditions:

• Take your strongest team into this no-frills battle

Mega Man walks up to the tank, seemingly not knowing what it is. He taps its hull with the knuckle of his index finger on his non-Buster hand. "Seems to be made of a pretty sturdy material."

Then it suddenly begins to move. Its sides open up and become arms, legs unfurl from its underside, and the plating on its front shifts down, revealing it to be a head.

Galleom,◊ having finished transforming, raises its arms and head to the ceiling and roars, unleashing jets of steam from vents all over its body.

"... Uh-oh."

Macready would take the tactical view to the situation. Massive creature, resembling a goddamn tank, With suitable armor, massive size, and fists which look like they can crush someone with minimal effort... Macready would run, heading back to his helicopter, remembering that it was armed... Not much sense taking on this thing with a flamethrower and a handgun from the start...

The moment the two hear a shot, the Masked Man draws his sword and fires a powerful bolt of lightning down the halls, considering the warning gesture as an enemy attack, after which he starts running towards where they'd heard the shot. Picky immediately follows after him.

The lightning bolt soars through the halls and finds its way into the hangar. If Mega Man and Macready dodge it, the bolt will go straight for Galleom, attacking it before the battle has even begun.

The five warriors leaves, though Lucina briefly turn around and salutes.

May we meet again, father. she says, before leaving as well.

Platinum is approaching the "base", checking the helicopter with a quick glare.

"PRIMITIVE." he comments, as he heads down.

Galleom takes his fighting posture.

Mega Man, by some sixth sense, stops the electric blast from behind himself with a Leaf Shield.

He turns to watch Macready go - a mistake, as Galleom jumps high, uses his body's jets to position himself over Mega Man, then lands with a big stomp.

Mega Man is immediately sent flying into the air. He frantically throws a Metal Blade at Galleom's head while he struggles to ensure he can land on his feet.

Platinum reaches the area and notices the gathered fighters. He briefly, silently calculate when he spots the Masked Man but ultimately choose to leap down and strike down at the monster with his hand.

The Masked Man runs into the room, his eyes scanning to determine the origins of that shot from just now. They calculate that Mega Man is the most likely candidate, and is about to attack him, but just as he's about to charge forward, Picky grabs his jacket.

"Uh, hello!? Giant killer robot on the opposite end of the room! It's clearly the biggest threat!", Picky says. The Masked Man doesn't look pleased with his tone of voice, but then scans Galleom, discovering that he has some Galeem aura on him.

"Hm... seems you're right.", he says, smirking as he raises his arm, two fingers out, and casts PK Thunder at Galleom.

Picky, meanwhile, extends an energy blade from his gauntlet and attempts to do a charging slash past Galleom's legs.

Macready would Enter the helicopter, and start the engine, readying whatever systems he needs... Weapons ready... missiles, machine guns, everything an attack helicopter needs... He'd take flight, putting on his odd hat, rising above the base to attempt to find a way in, or make one... He'd speak into a headset, loudspeakers broadcasting... "Mac here, Air support incoming!"

"Heads up!" Mega Man fires a barrage of Crash Bombs at the ceiling, bringing a chunk of it down with the delayed explosions so that Macready has a way in.

Galleom does not react to anything, not even the ceiling raining down on his head (which would have the "environmental hazard" bonus pop-up if this were Monster Hunter World). He pulls back one arm and winds it up, then does a whopper of a jet-powered uppercut. The uppercut is aimed at Platinum, but Galleom's fist is just so huge that it could hit everyone else in the room too.

This time, Mega Man dodges Galleom's attack. He starts charging a Buster shot...

Platinum is hit by the uppercut but is so heavy that this fails to send him flying all the way. Instead, he uses a gravity blaster to draw nearby debris to him and toss the projectile at the tank-humanoid's head, attempting to slam it down all the way as he falls down.

Picky, due to being close, quickly activates a psychic shield to take the brunt of the impact from Galleom's uppercut, and is hurled backwards, landing on his feet (though somewhat clumsily).

The Masked Man spares him no glance as he's now the one to charge forward, attempting to attack the joints on Galleom's left elbow with his sword, intending to either damage it enough to slow his arm's movement down, or perhaps, if he gets a lucky hit, destroy its usability completely.

A helicopter would enter through the hole Mega Man made in the roof, firing off a few CRV 7 rockets at galeom before preparing the rest of it's weaponry to fire... Macready would be in the pilot seat, smiling, Parachute ready, Here to bring some death from above...

Galleom lifts up one leg and leans back, moving his arm out of the Masked Man's reach, before stomping forward on the ground in front of him. The rockets' explosions make him blink, but that's about it.

Mega Man strafes around and to Galleom's side before firing his charge shot at full power at the giant living mech.

Platinum decide to punch and take matters personally. He's pretty slow but if he hit, he hits hard, enough to kickstart one hell of a noise. That said, his wonderful technology prevent pesky shockwaves, instead gathering the kinetic energy of the shockwave and delivering as a very close-ranged energy blast following the punch.

The Masked Man instinctively attempts to shoot to his side with his cannon, intending on launching himself out of Galleom's reach... and remembers too late that his arm cannon isn't working right. As such, he gets stomped, and Picky looks horrified... then surprised, as he sees that the Masked Man is trying to hold Galleom's foot up to prevent himself from getting crushed, his chimeric strength giving him a chance to do so.

Picky quickly shoots some energy shots at Galleom's eyes, hoping to distract it and give the Masked Man a chance to escape.

Galleom blinks a few more times from the energy shots and draws his leg back, not wanting to keep wasting effort on that.

Then he hunkers down, using one arm to sort-of shield himself from Plat's punch, and fires four missiles from his shoulders. One heads for Platinum, one heads for Picky, one is a 'dummy' missile that isn't locked on to anyone, and the last arcs upward and goes for Macready's helicopter.

Mega Man fires an Ice Slasher at the missile heading for Macready, freezing it solid before it can reach the helicopter.

Platinum readies another punch and... punch, the missile does push him back but barely, and he uses rockets on his back to try and slam into the tank, using the momentum and his strength to try to topple it.

Once freed, the Masked Man staggers backwards and attempts to blast an incredibly powerful PK Love at the giant robot.

Picky raises another shield, but the explosion from the missile shatters it, making him fall on the ground, groaning in pain.
