"Oh, that is actually quite an apt description of this insufferable, red-haired Loki that Thor and I came into conflict with," Loki replies. "To call him an arsehole would be a vast understatement... Thankfully, we slew that charlatan sometime before your arrival."

"Vision is here, you say? I wonder who the next Avenger to step foot in this realm might be," Thor replies. "Regardless, I suppose I could help you locate him."

"Appreciate the concern, Lucy, but don't you worry; I haven't bumped into Grima in a dark alley," Nicole assures Lucina, flashing a grin at her friend. "I've just been training, handling other stuff on my personal to-do list, waiting to see Anna, wondering which Einherjar we'll run into next, and all that jazz. How about you and the others?"

The power-up from the magic items glistening along his muscles, he rushes into Diablos's headbutt and goes for a full throttle punch parry, throwing all his enhanced strength into it.

Unfortunately for him, he still has far less mass than Diablos, so the impact still slams into him and throws him back through to the rock face, but hopefully he did some damage. The Enduranut's boost allows him to withstand the impact with minimal damage, as well.

That's kinda sad. I wanted to test some weapons. he says. Oh well. Beside, it'd feel weird to attack myself you know ? There's the faceplate but those thing get torn off awfully easily.

He nods to Thor.

It'll be a flat zero for me because Thanos is coming and I want to round up the others to prepare. I'm not going to let him run around in the pretty fields while the guy behind everything is quietly coming over to slaughter us. You should come too but it's hard to join you.

Stark handwaves.

Grima is too large to be encountered in a dark alley. replies Lucina, missing the joke.

We've helped an innocent being recover its sanity and Samsara and Morgan have been training. I, too, train but I sometimes just read books to rest. I do not want to be exhausted when the Eiherjar could attack at any time.

AHAHA! NOW...

(Stadrick rushes towards the beast's torso, attempting a blow to its breastbone with his flail. This lizard is nothing if not ambitious!)

Ralsei looks on, a bit concerned. "Do we... have to kill them? They never had malicious intent..."

Awkeff loses a chunk of her shoulder armor and staggers away from Legiana. "I dunno, maybe if you can keep using whatever you did to the wingless one."

Rathalos wails.

Diablos' right horn breaks off and it staggers.

Legiana does another ice-scattering tail spin at the surrounding area.

"Oh? That's rather strange. Hopefully, your Thor wasn't transported to anywhere that might be... difficult to escape from. Regardless, should he not be available, I suppose I could step in for him," Thor says, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "And should you require further reinforcements, I'm not the only Avenger to have come here. A certain pair of twins also frequent this realm, and yes, the boy actually survived the battle of Sokovia."

"While we're discussing Thanos, there's something I forgot to tell you about during our last meeting," Loki chimes in. "I've heard that two 'daughters' of his have defected from his forces. Their names are... Gamora and Nebula, if memory serves me correctly."

"I've really gotta teach you about jokes and sarcasm sometime, girl," Nicole replies, shaking her head. "But anyway, what's this about helping someone become sane again? You never really struck me as the therapist sort. No offense."

The cosmos is weird. I just hope that you're not dealing with Thanos or another cosmic threat because otherwise, we're... in slight trouble. Hulk's missing after all and the team is... wait,the boy survived ? That's good. Looks like this is one of the differences. he explains. I should ask him about what happened after Sokovia.

He scratches his chin for a moment and lean back.

That's nice but I can't quite recruit them. I'll remember these names since aliens love visiting the planet though. And these aliens aren't always good.

He appeared to be struck by an intense panic that caused him to grow into a powerful yet deformed beast. We subdued it and a young boy used a bean to heal it, apparently curing it of its stress as well.

Faery-Killer hops to his feet as the effects of the Enduranut wear off, looking at Diablos for a weakness.

"Hrm…"

He hits the deck, and rustles through his sack, looking for any items which might directly help on offense.

"Furry boy! Target that one!" he shouts as he points at Rathalos.

Ralsei casts Pacify on the Rathalos. He shouts to Stadrick, "Sorry, sir, but I just don't like unnecessary violence and I think something strange made them act like this!"

Awkeff gets caught in the tail-spin, flung away and landing on her back, now afflicted with Iceblight. "Could use... A little help when you're done with that!"

Rathalos loses consciousness and passes off into slumber.

Rathalos Defeated

While it may not be blatantly obvious to Faery-Killer, Diablos' facial structure suggests it relies almost entirely on hearing, which means it may be sensitive to loud noises.

Legiana takes flight again.

Unfortunately, none of the items he has on hand are particularly geared towards making loud noises. He notices Awkeff's predicament, though, and tosses her his second Ice Nut. At least he thinks she won't rebuff it this time.

He then takes out a tiptoe nut, and quietly eats it. Thirty seconds of silent steps!

Faery-Killer speedwalks towards Awkeff's location, gripping his sack.

"Better yet, he actually acquired another set of powers during his time here," Thor adds. "While his sister has learned new sorts of magic."

"Fortunately, Gamora seems like the reasonable sort," Loki replies. "Nebula, on the other hand, is considerably... colder than her sister, but I doubt she'd be opposed to cooperating with anyone who opposes Thanos."

"Dayum... Must've been pretty damn hectic. The reason he transformed sounds kinda familiar for some reason... Who was this boy that cured him with a bean, exactly?"

This is... pretty bizarre to me but then again, I just got into a brawl with a kilometer-long worm so I should probably go along with this.

He shrugs when informed about the sisters.

Should't be a problem then. But right now, I'm going to build up Earth's defenses against the main threat instead of reaching out to the stars and hope to catch the attention of two aliens.

"Fair enough," Loki simply replies.

"Huh... can't say I've heard of him," Nicole replies. "Outta curiosity, was it just you, him, and Sam who dealt with this whole... dude turned rampaging stress monster thing?"

Unfortunately, Samsara was not here. My husband, Laurent, helped me instead. And we were guided by a man named Zacharie, a man with an odd mask... though I guess that I cannot critic him for wearing masks in the first place. she says;

I should be reassured but you're saying it in a way that makes me really worried. Careful Thor, my squishy heart definitely is not durable as my new, state of the art armor.

"Come now, Stark, you're the self-proclaimed genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist," Thor remarks, laughing. "Surely, your brilliant mind won't crumble in the face of whatever oddities you might encounter here!"

Loki, meanwhile, seems to be contemplating something.

"Oh, whoops! Guess I was still thinking about what you said she and Morgan were up to earlier... My bad, Lucy."

Nicole then smiles when Lucina mentions Zacharie's involvement.

"Hey, Zach's actually a really good friend of mine, believe it or not! Guess the dude y'all cured must've been an... Elsen, I think he called them."

Well, well, well, isn't the mortal supposed to flaunt the god in that scenario ? I certainly won't go insane but I'd rather avoid getting entangled into a deep web of lies and traps. You know, just... sometimes drop in and help against obvious bad guy 98 but I want to protect the world first and foremost. I don't intend to just ignore everything happening around here but I'm going to make a beeline for that android and give him a reason to just stop straight-up vanishing when he's needed.

"Oh, I was merely contemplating a few things, nothing you'd find terribly interesting," Loki answers.

"Something tells me we'll have plenty of chances for that, what with all the Einherjar still out there and everything we've gotta take back from those friggin' thieves."

Nicole smiles reassuringly at Lucina.

"Sounds to me like this Elsen'll be doing way better from now on. Oh, and thanks for telling me about Zach, I was actually wondering how he's been doing."

He is doing good, indeed. And while we shall have many opportunities, I cannot help but feel sorrow if you were to meet him in battles. I bonded with my friends and grew to love him by battling together against foes... but in the end, must we see each other's powers before we can finally discover each other's personalities ? she asks.

"As amusing as your wit and ego may be, Stark, the only thing I'm eager about here is ensuring that Thanos does not succeed," Thor replies, motioning for Stark and Loki to begin following him as he walks, which the latter does.

"If you insist: I was merely wondering just how... chaotic a meeting between you and a scientist that Thor and I have met here would be. For reference, her ego likely dwarfs your own and she can only be described as... somewhat mad."

"Ah, don't worry about it, Lucy," Nicole says, patting Lucina on the back. "Based on the few times I've actually met Laurent, I'm pretty sure we'll get along just fine."

It has to be pretty dire if you're complimenting my wit. says Stark.

Sounds like a pain to deal with. says Stark. But you obviously haven't learnt a thing since 2012. You held your war siege in the tallest tower ever, marked with my name too ! I sold it off recently too. It was nice but kinda redundant. And it encouraged the crazies to fight in the middle of the city too.

(Stadrick nods at the sweet little goat wizard and now turns his attentions to Legiana, doing a flail-twirl to hit it with a bunch of stars and hopefully entice it to come closer.)

"Considering everything we know about Thanos, I'd say that qualifies the situation as dire," Thor says, looking around for any sign of Vision.

"Perhaps I'm not a shining beacon of modesty, but she would make us both seem incredibly humble by comparison," Loki replies, keeping an eye out for the android as well.

"Heh, and here I thought we were already friends."

"Right, they need to be tired out before I can Pacify them!" Ralsei casts Heal Prayer on Awkeff.

Awkeff catches the nut and eats it as she is healed.    "Thanks."    The Iceblight thaws.

   "Does the one that lost its horns have any potential weaknesses?"    she asks.

Diablos burrows underground.

Legiana flies towards Stadrick and roars in an attempt to stun him before taking a flying claw swipe at him.

We are friends, but I hope that perhaps we can form a deeper friendship over shared interests. Our current friendship is a profond you, I assure you, but I wish to know you as... more than an ally and appreciated warrior, do you understand ? she says. I am not denying our relationship but...

She sighs, clearly not too good with explaining social stances.
