"Whatever the hell his reason is, let's just make sure he's stopped!"

Priming the wrist-mounted missile launcher on her other arm, Nyriss begins flying circles around Greyface, then releases a volley of laser blasts and missiles towards him while her cybernetic eye scans his platform.

"C'mon, baby, gimme something to work with here..."

Impossible ! yells Maw, as he gets battered and thrown aside, crashing into the sand. However, his defeat does not exactly destroy the machine, and all of the blue energy is nearly absorbed, though Metal Bat may be able to destroy it before it can fully absorb the last drops.

Proxima deflect the shots and look away, seemingly using her enchanced sight to see Metal Bat's victory.

Hmph ! I bet that he got cocky.

"Right."

Claus flies down alongside Nyriss, also flying circles, but in the opposite direction, and in larger circles than Nyriss, as to disorient Greyface.

It doesn't seem to be very effective though, as the platform now brings up multiple of those energy shields and starts spinning around to block Nyriss' attacks.

Nyriss' scan will show her worrying results. The platform has been vastly upgraded in terms of defensive technology. However, the scan will also show that her blasts are doing damage, so those shields aren't foolproof. Which means that it can still be brought down.

Strangely, the scan will also reveal that the platform seems to have parts that are meant to connect to parts not present in it at all.

Ninten, now closer to Greyface, tries casting Defense Down on the platform, which works, weakening its shields and causing it to stop spinning. Greyface... well, he needs a moment, looking nauseous as he presses a button.

"W-why did I make that function!?", he says as he tries to stop being dizzy.

Psycho!Ness, meanwhile, tries to cast PK Paralysis on the platform. It dodges, however, despite Greyface not having recovered yet.

"Don't tell me that thing has an autopilot now...", Psycho!Ness mutters.

Captain Deepsea fires lasers at the Porky Bots attacking him to send them staggering back, and Alt.Demo then proceeds to wreck them with a Ball 'n Chain he pulled from the ground.

The ones going after Elmadan fall victim to his gaze, turning into diamond-like statues. He then smirks.

"Y'know, beating on these Greyface-lookalikes is kinda cathartic."

The bots then glow for a second, however, and turn back to normal, to Elmadan's shock. As such, the bots get to him and explode, sending him hurling back, badly hurt.

Captain Deepsea immediately rushes over to him, while Alt.Demo keeps more incoming bots at bay with his chains.

   "That fat kid isn't throwing these out! Where do they keep coming from!?"   

Once down on the mainland, Alinivar's group regains their bearings, and they look up.

"Alright, Larice. You're gonna have to teleport us up there, otherwise we're never going to-"

"Oh! Zoom! Up there, Lucas!", Col. Saturn points out after spotting him, upon which the rest of the group looks up, and all four start to panic.

"What!? How's he here? When did he-"

"Never mind-WHIRR-that. We have to try to protect him! It's what Niiue-BEEP- would've wanted!"

Speaking of Lucas, he's somehow made it through the bomb barrage, and, now on city grounds, starts making his way over to the battlefield.

Metal Bat spits on the Maw before grabbing his bat and leaping out of the hole.

"Alright, time to break this machine thing."

He takes a step back, winds up, and lets loose a series of truly mighty swings. Each attack is aimed at the same spot but Metal Bat brings down his weapon at a different angle each time.

"DRAGON THRASHING!"

Zombieman hears the sound of metal clanking against metal and looks over to see Metal Bat letting loose on the machine.

"Not surprising. After all, you guys do seem pretty weak."

Proxima's face twitch slightly and she launch a crazy barrage of attacks at Zombieman, attempting to use her scepter to utterly tear him apart with great precision, skill and speed.

My aim was not to win but I'll still get you for this insult !

Metal Bat succeed in taking down the machine, causing it to go up in smoke. There's a noticeably shudder in the air as the blue energy fade to dust.

Heh... you can hang to your illusion of a victory... but know that you... were far too late !

Samsara and Morgan keep dodging, with the walls of the gym looking quite charred because of Morgan's attack.

Please, Samsara, get serious ! says Morgan, annoyed at Samsara's held back attitude. Samsara shrugs and get into position.

Okay...

After two seconds, there's a bright flash and Morgan's book is thrown away, with Samsara holding a toy sword at her neck, with her hand on her other arm to prevent Morgan from grabbing her other book.

But... I had a reaction spell ready ?

You're a smart girl so I'll let you figure out what happened. says Samsara, letting her go. Are you alright ?

My pride is pretty badly affected but... yes otherwise.

"Tch, of course, it doesn't have any vulnerable spots... Old fashioned way, it is."

After sending a couple of Arcane Blasts towards Greyface, Nyriss begins charging her laser cannon, taking careful aim as she does so.

Metal Bat hears the Maw and looks down into the hole.

"Will you shut up? I already beat you, so just shut up! Just don't speak!"

He kicks some sand down the hole before rushing to go help Zombieman again.

Zombieman is able to deflect a few of the attacks but is unable to keep Proxima away for good. He's skewered, sliced, torn, ripped, and chopped into a bloody pulp, leaving only his head intact...

Well, mostly intact. There's a large hole through his head, revealing the view behind him. Amazingly, what remains of him is still conscious.

"Gimme a minute. I gotta regenerate and then we can keep this fight going."

Metal Bat, amped up by his Fighting Spirit, suddenly appears behind Proxima.

"Oi oi! Lady, yer in for it now!"

He winds up and swings for her head.

A new body slowly begins to form from Zombieman's head.

Proxima doesn't even react, since Glaive step up to deflect his attack, having mysteriously somehow healed since last time.

   Pfahahahaha ! By Earthling standards, attacking a woman in the back is not quite heroic, isn't it ?   

Proxima, unfazed, begins to walks up to Zombieman and raises her foot, preparing herself to kill him.

Samsara step off, waits for Morgan to be ready and dash once more, grabbing Morgan's hand, knocking her book away and pointing a wooden sword at her throat.

This isn't fair !

I do appreciate honor in a fight but sometimes, combat is all about preventing the enemy from defending herself or even firing an attack. Mages are weak in close combat so you'll need to be ready for attacks comparable to my own in future fights.

Aw come on, I'm not a baby ! I have plenty of experience !

Indeed, but keep in mind that the Einherjars are older than you and their lives were defined by conflict. They still possess an experience gap over... well, any of us.

Samsara once again let go of Morgan and step back.

Metal Bat scowls and swings at Corvus.

"She could be a damn rabbit from the moon for all I care! I'll attack whoever I want, however I want!"

Zombieman, his torso and one of his arms relatively healed, searches around for his gun.

"Where'd I put that thing? Come on, it was here somewhere..."

He manages to find it and, rolling over on his back, fires a shot that shouldn't even come near Proxima.

"Dammit. My depth perception is all over the place."

As Greyface gets back to his senses, the platform's auto pilot makes it dodge all but one of Nyriss' blasts, the final one hitting it in an unshielded spot and visibly damaging it thanks to its dropped defenses.

Claus immediately raises his arm cannon, planning a follow-up attack, but Greyface suddenly aims the bazooka at him and fires, forcing him to dodge instead.

"Get out of my hair already!", he growls as the platform rapidly starts to descend, a rotor emerging out of the bottom part. Once near the ground he angles his platform to make the rotor dig into the concrete street and send pieces of debris flying at Psycho!Ness and Ninten, who both use a PSI Shield to block them. Greyface narrows his eyes.

I knew the platform wouldn't be enough. I'm gonna change over to-

His assault on the street is stopped when he's hit by a psychic blast from none other than Lucas, who Claus is, understandably, very worried to see in the same place as Greyface.

"I guess Thor was right about you. You're Porky Minch, right?", Lucas asks Greyface. "You look kinda different, but I still recognize you."

Greyface stares at him for a moment, then laughs.

"Oh, how amusing! So you have your powers back!"

Lucas looks confused.

"Huh? Back?"

"But if you think that'll be enough to get back at me, I have to disappoint you. I'll-"

   Don't tell him anything from the past!   , Greyface suddenly hears in a small earphone he has hidden under his hair.    It's better to keep him the way he is now.   

"Huh? But-"

   I'm the one from the future, so I know best. If you disobey, I'll abandon you to your fate, do you understand?   

Greyface growls, then smirks.

"Never mind all that, Lucas! What's important now is that I'm here to get my revenge, and none of you can stop me!"

Pressing a button, his spider mech◊ bursts out of the ground, and he quickly switches to it while his platform proceeds to fly around on its own thanks to the autopilot, firing missiles at Claus and Nyriss, while Greyface charges over to Psycho!Ness and Ninten.

"Hey!", Lucas calls out angrily, running after Greyface and charging up an attack.

As Captain Deepsea helps Elmadan up, Alinivar's group is warped near them by Larice. The two groups stare at each other for a moment.

"YOU!?", Elmadan calls out.

"YOU!?", Alinivar calls out.

The two groups immediately get ready to fight, though they get whacked by a chain from Alt.Demo.

   "I don't know what your history is, but if you two are seriously going to fight each other over that crazy kid then I'm gonna kill all six of you before you get in the way of the actual fight!"   

He returns to dealing with the Porky Bots while the two groups turn to each other.

"... You're not with Greyface?", Alinivar asks.

"No!", Elmadan says.

After a bit more silence, Elmadan speaks up again.

"A truce? For now?"

Elmadan being the one to suggest a truce surprises Alinivar's group, and after some thinking, they accept.

"Yeah, let's focus on the real threat!"

Before Proxima can stomp, both her and Corvus are engulfed in a blue beam, same with Maw in the distance.

   Mission complete !    says Corvus, as a larger blue beam engulfs the drilling device.    And here I wished to slaughter these two !   

You will get the occasion to slaughter them, love. Soon.

Morgan and Samsara once more begins and once more, Samsara dashes at Morgan... only for the wizard to lean back just in time, allowing her to dodge Samsara's grab. Surprised, the pink-haired girl is hit by a small amount of wind, causing her to freeze in surprise.

Y-yay ! I did it !

You predicted my movements ? asks Samsara.

I started to lean back when you took the stance ! It allowed me to get out of the way at the last second !

Pretty smart ! But how will you apply that to a battlefield ?

I can just remain near my allies ! At worst, if we get separated, I can use that to evade a speedy enemy and attack them with magic !

Be careful about assassins ! They can get sneaky. If you want, I could tag-along with you and help with cover.

You're a swordfighter though, you should be at the frontline !

We have a lot of long-range fighters, it's necessary to keep a close-ranged ally to take care of assassins or fighters who somehow get in range. Even if you evade his attacks, you'll need to keep your focus on that assassin or wait to be bailed out, and either way, his allies would benefit.

"Of fuckin' course, he's got another glorified tin can to hide in!"

Darting about through the air in order to narrowly evade the barrage of missiles heading her way, Nyriss activates the cable gun attachment on her laser cannon, lines up her shot as best she can, and fires a cable at the platform with the intent of ensnaring it. Should her gambit prove successful, the cyborg half-dragon follows up by attempting to swing and hurl said platform at Greyface's spider mech with all her might, making sure to detach her cable at the right moment to avoid being sent flying with it.

"Here's your goddamn platform back, ya psychotic little runt!"

Ninten quickly leaps to the side to avoid Greyface's charge, while Psycho!Ness remains standing, pushing back against the huge spider mech with a psychic shield.

"Pokey, just-stop attacking already!", Psycho!Ness says. "If you want to get back at me, you don't have to involve other people in it."

"Oh, but I do, because other people will inevitably find me whenever I attack. This way, we fight on my terms!"

His mech then tosses a smoke bomb behind itself, at Lucas and Ninten, who'd moved in to attack again, causing them to halt and start coughing.

Claus, after dodging the missiles headed for him, sees what Nyriss is up to and immediately casts PK Thunder at the platform, intending for it to slightly miss so that the platform will still dodge, right into the path of Nyriss' cable.

Due to PK Thunder being the faster attack, this works, and the platform is ensnared by Nyriss, allowing her to send it flying at Greyface, who notices it and immediately seems to panic.

"Crap!"

He backs off from Psycho!Ness and raises the mech's pincers to catch his mech, even though the impact sends both mechs sliding back a far amount. He successfully saves his platform though, and sighs.

"Too close..."

He glances behind him for a moment, seeing both Alinivar's and Elmadan's groups coming, with Elmadan himself looking like he's about to Diamondize Greyface.

"I don't freaking thing so!", he says, turning his mech around, its metal eyes shining for a moment, a flash of light washing over the area for a moment, causing Psycho!Ness, Claus and Alt.Demo to shield their eyes, and causing the latter to get assaulted by the Porky Bots.

When the flash is over, the two boys watch in horror as the six aliens themselves are the ones getting Diamondized instead of Greyface, who grins.

"I'm offended that you forgot that I can do that too, Elmadan.", he taunts as the six of them have now become statues.

”Eh? Come back here!” Metal Bat shouts to the sky.

Zombieman, now fully regenerated, rolls his eyes as he gets up.

”Give it a rest. They’re gone.”

”But I only got to beat up the weak one...”

Zombieman sighs as the two heroes walk off.

Dr Strange is meditating in the Flying City. He's not close to the fight but could be brought into it if a fighter interact with him or not.

He seems to be in a state of meditation deep enough to block out any sounds, which explain his lack of reaction to the craziness occurring around them.

"Well, shit..."

Flying after Greyface's mech, Nyriss aims her laser cannon at the platform in the aforementioned mech's grasp, then fires her long-since charged shot in the hopes of blowing said platform up in Greyface's face if it connects.

Surprisingly, perhaps even shockingly, Greyface moves the platform out of harm's way, even if that means that his currently used mech is the one that gets shot by Nyriss' laser, making it stagger.

As the smoke clears, Ninten starts coughing and wheezing, experiencing an asthma attack. Lucas immediately runs over to him to try to help him with grabbing his inhaler to save him.

Greyface then attempts to have his mech Diamondize Lucas and Ninten while they're vulnerable, but his mech starts shaking and becomes unable to move, as Alt.Demo's chains have wrapped themselves around its legs. Alt.Demo himself looks pissed off, entirely covered in sooth from the Porky Bots that exploded when near him. Luckily it seems like there's no more left, at least for now, so he'd decided to turn his attention to Greyface instead.

"Hey, let go of me!", Greyface snarls, and tries to stab at him with one of his mech's pincers, but, using a Nen barrier, Greyface doesn't manage to get through his skin.

"We've got a chance to damage that spider mech now!", Claus calls out to Nyriss and Psycho!Ness, swinging his sword around to send a massive bolt of lightning down upon Greyface, while Psycho!Ness, still looking reluctant, casts a weaker version of PK Rockin' instead.

Dr Strange wakes up and stares at the fighting. He’s initially apathetic but the sight of a boy experiencing asthma troubles is enough to convince him to get out, flying towards the kids.

Fear not, I am not an enemy. he says, working with a spell.

Nyriss grins at the sight of Alt Demo binding Greyface's mech in place. Just as she herself had considering using her cable to tie its legs together ala The Empire Strikes Back, no less... Oh, well, who was she to complain about a good opportunity?

"Keep it nice and steady, dude!"

Then, with a mighty Draconic roar, she unleashes a massive gout of Arcane Fire Breath from her mouth towards the mech.

Alt.Demo grins darkly.

   "Don't worry, this brat's not going anywhere."   

Lucas looks at Dr Strange after Ninten had gotten a hold of his inhaler and has started puffing some air into his lungs.

"I-... okay.", he says, realizing now's not the time to be asking a lot of questions.

The combined power of the lightning, Arcane Fire Breath and PK Rockin deals a devastating amount of damage against Greyface's spider mech. After the attack, sparks fly off of it, and it slumps onto the ground, dropping the platform as well.

"Alright, Pokey!", Psycho!Ness calls out. "Your machines are down! Just... just stop fighting and restore those people back to normal, and we can-"

"We can what, Ness?", Greyface asks, scowling. "Go back to the usual? Killing me or sending me running, ending back up at my lab, making new adjustements and doing it all over again? Hah, normally I'm all up for that game, but not today, Ness. I came here for one reason, and one reason only. To get back at you for lying to me!"

He bashes against the inside of his spider mech once as he glares.

"I was in a state in which I wasn't myself, and if it hadn't been for that brat being in danger and bringing everyone else in danger too, you'd have kept me like that, wouldn't you!? Because it'd have been so much better for everyone else that I remained practically brainwashed! You call yourself a hero? What hero would actively be okay with anyone being brainwashed!? But I guess it doesn't matter in the end because I'm the villain, so it's okay, right? Is that also why you stopped that blonde twerp when he went all nuts and began brainwashing evil people? No, it's not.", he says, actively not naming Lucas, which Claus, as he descends to stand next to Lucas, Ninten and Dr Strange, finds odd, but is secretly thankful for.

"You only did it because it was me! Because I'm Pokey Minch! Because unlike all those other villains he'd have gone after, I did deserve it, didn't I? Your friendship and goodness and all that crap is just that! Crap! The moment you could switch me out for a version of me that wasn't me, you did it, and you had no plans on turning me back to normal!"

Psycho!Ness is silent, staring, and, despite everything Greyface deserves to get... he is unable to deny that, for once, Greyface is right. That doesn't justify his attack, but he's right...

And it makes Psycho!Ness look ashamed.

"I-I thought you'd be happier-"

"BULL! CRAP!", Greyface says. "Everyone else would've been happier, because nobody likes Pokey Minch, and you'd totally have been justified, because everyone like Ness, the great hero, but nobody likes Pokey Minch! Nobody! Likes! Me!"

He grins darkly.

"But you're not even the great hero, Ness. You're not the one who saved the world. You're not that Ness. And you may try and try to be as big a hero as he was, but no real hero would do what you did. Even if my view is somehow wrong, and there are real good people, and real heroes, you aren't one of them! And you never will be. ... I'm going to ensure that!"

Pressing a button, a huge gas explosion engulfs Greyface's position, both him and his mechs disappearing from view. Alt.Demo keeps his chains tight though, so he'll feel it if Greyface somehow gets his mechs working again to try to escape.

Claus gets ready to fight, and so do Ninten, now recovered again, and Lucas, who's uncertain but still appears ready, standing next to Dr Strange. Psycho!Ness seems to be in a slight state of shock from the things Greyface had said though.

Dr Strange listens intently and sighs, creating two shields on his hand.

I know little about the events current unfolding but I will nonetheless ask questions once the immediate danger is gone. For now, the war machine is a bigger problem.

The wizard attempts to use a spell to repel part of the smoke away, pulling his arms back and then doing a sweeping gesture to attempt to send part of the cloud up in the sky.

Nyriss, having had just about enough of Greyface's psychotic ranting, rolls her eyes before launching two missiles at his mech's cockpit... just as the gas explosion happens.

"I swear to god, if he's pulled some cheap disappearing act from outta his ass..."

Dr Strange successfully manages to get rid of a big amount of the smoke, allowing the people present to see something they might not have expected.

The two missiles have been caught by a mechanical hand, then get thrown to the side. And as the smoke fully clears, a robot has taken Greyface's place.

"Ahahahahahaha!", Greyface's obnoxious laughter rings from the robot. "My last robot didn't work out so well, despite its invincible outer casing. So I figured I'd recycle the concept a little, and lo and behold, I designed the R7039-X, a specially crafted battle mech made out of my other two that'll let me keep up with the likes of you easily! Now I can beat you at your own game!"

He chuckles darkly.

"Ninten! Ness! Lucas! Claus! You and all of your annoying friends are gonna go down!"

He tries moving forward, actually able to do so despite one of the chains still being wrapped around one of the mech's legs. Alt.Demo tries to pull the mech towards him, but suddenly, a part of the building behind him starts collapsing on top of him. He ends up buried under the rubble, his chains having loosened and allowing the R7039-X to escape. It then raises its hands and sends energy beams at all opponents, one for each of them.

Claus grabs Lucas and flies up to avoid theirs, Ninten dives to the side to avoid his, and Psycho!Ness... he gets hit by his and send hurling back a bit. While he's hurt, it does also make him snap out of his state of shock and get back up, ready for battle.

Rampage of the R7039-X

Hidden from sight, nearby the building that just collapsed onto Alt.Demo, the ghostly Porky Minch retreats into the shadows once more.

Dr Strange raises an energy shield, though the beam send him reeling anyway. A bit shocked at Alt!Demo's burying, he nonetheless remains composed, opening up a portal to some kind of hellish dimension and calling upon its fire to attack the mech with a wild gout of flame.

The portal closes afterwards.

Suffice it to say, Nyriss was... anything but amused by this new development. She had the cowardly little sadist right where she wanted him, was about to see him go up in an explosion, and this hunk of junk just comes right out of the left field.

"Oh, bullshit! Now he's just pulling all kinds of mechs outta his fuckin' ass!"

She then shields herself from an oncoming energy beam with her metallic wings, though the impact throws her back quite a bit. Growling in annoyance, she proceeds to scan Greyface's new mech with her cybernetic eye while firing her laser cannon at it.

"Alright, this thing's gotta have some kinda chink in its armor..."
