He looks troubled by the fact that he can't say anything.

"Sorry... all I can say is that you gotta have faith."

He then pats him on his shoulder too, and smiles a little.

"I gotta go home now... the both of you, stay safe, alright? And be ready. Things are gonna get hectic in a few days."

After saying goodbye to them, he opens up a 4th-D Slip portal behind himself and steps through it.

"Good luck, and goodbye!"

Once back in his own world, Future!Ninten sits down on his chair, leaning back a little and sighing happily.

"Did it go well?"

He practically jumps out of his chair again, looking to see someone sitting on his bed. He sighs again, this time in relief, when he sees who it is.

"It could've gone better, but it all worked out in the end. ... Don't scare me like that though."

"Sorry, I couldn't help it. I suppose you'll be going to see Claus now?"

"Yeah. I promised him I'd come the moment I got back. Takin' a few days off of work to spend some time with him."

The person smirks a little, then gets off of his bed, a mechanical whirring noise filling the room as they do.

"I'll be going then. Thanks for doing this, I know it was a lot to ask of you."

He nods, then smiles.

"It's good to see you smile again, you rarely show any since back then."

The person goes silent, then shrugs.

"I have little time to spend on smiles."

"As long as you still have some. I'll see you later then."

"Yes, see you later."

The person leaves the room, and Future!Ninten grabs his phone, turning it on. Then he laughs.

"Jeez, 12 missed calls in the last 10 minutes. He was more nervous about all this than I was. I'm gonna have to make this up to him."

Somewhere between dimensions

The beings who had responded to the Cube's distress signal months ago, during the fight against Missingno, slowly get closer the Arena. After a very long travel, they were almost there.

The Queen sits on her throne in a command room, grinning as her subjects prepare to invade, her flying fortress leading an armada of smaller airships. One, maybe two days at most, remain until arrival.

Then, she would get revenge.

The Maximoffs bid farewell to Future!Ninten, then proceed to take their leave as well.

Robin is struck and sent sprawling, though she gets back on her feet, with a defiant look on her face.

A small pillar of light appears, and a bespectacled woman emerges out of it, with red hair and a massive hat. She observes her surroundings briefly, revealing that she's in Noctilum.

"Hm. This portion of the Arena was unexplored by Laurent."

She look up after noting this, and remarks an android floating above her, with red skin, green "clothes", a pretty superb yellow cape and a yellow gem on his forehead.

In the midst of a place unknown to this writer, a portal opens up out of nowhere, and out came a seventeen year old name Georgios who dropped out of it.

His sudden landing wasn’t all too damaging, since Georgios rolled on the ground once he landed to avoid the more common injuries that one usual has after taking a fall.

”That was a fun trip if I do say so myself! Hahahah!!! I gotta to do that again later!”

The tracksuit wearing youngster, who shall be nicknamed Geo for ease of use, said to himself as he got up from the ground and looked around his new surroundings, with Geo himself finding the location he found himself and the people to match his own likings.

”Yellow, weird persons that I have no idea the names of!!

Sayram Lake

On one of the islands by the lake, the water seems to be pulsing with a malignant presence, a figure with voluminous hair kneeling just by the edge of the isle, one of their arms coming in contact with that strange black ooze.

Say what lake? Someone's noticed the going-ons there. That someone happens to be a... lad(?) with a fairly heavy-looking crossbow cradled in his arms, taking a look from quite some way away via a scope. He isn't yet approaching, just scouting out the situation ahead of time from afar...

The figure might just notice a nearby Severus◊ approaching to investigate the scene, an eyebrow raised upon noticing that one of said figure's arms was in contact with the malignant substance.

"Are... you certain that touching such a malevolent substance is a wise choice?"

For obvious reasons, he hasn't spotted the mystery observer yet.

For the man wielding the crossbow, he would simply find a rather attractive figure kneeling by the lake, eerily pale, yet not detracting from their rather pleasing appearance. They seem to have white hair, and vivid purple eyes... and a strange headband(?) on their head, where a mass of tentacles, which could potentially be mistaken for rather thick hair, are protruding from.

And, with Severus, he'd soon find the figure standing up and turning to face him, revealing that the person in front of him is a woman◊. And not just any woman, too, given her tight clothing, clearly meant to attract attention, her dangerously short skirt, not to mention the fishnet stockings emphasising the shape of her legs.

She smiles, eventually speaking up, her purple eyes fluttering.

   I have no need to fear it. It is, after all, under my control.   

Her voice is... odd. It seems to be a layered mixture of a masculine and feminine voice, combined in such a way that it is most certainly unnatural.

She seems too focused on the android to notice the other person.

"You appear to be human-like but you exhibit several non-human qualifications, such as autonomous floating, red skin, the presence of a gem upon your forehead, glossy skin."

I am an android. he replies. Fear not. While I may have machine traits, my mind is truly close to an human's.

"Fascinating." she says, writing it down. "Properly fascinating. Beyond my wildest dreams."

The android smiles softly at that and looks at the newcomer, slowly turning.

The crossbowman seems to have rather quickly noticed the unusual arrangement of tentacles on the potential matter of interest's head. He silently turns to get the scope trained there, just peering through the scope for a while longer. While his finger is absolutely not on the trigger, he still doesn't want to be seen and mistaken for lining up a shot. That would be awkward... After some time peering down the scope, he has what he needs. Namely, a decent visual, and a plan in case something happens.

"..."

Now to get a closer view on things. While he could easily get out a weapon with better zoom, that would still not be optimal. He decides to move in a bit closer instead, making sure to still be seeing with the scope rather than his eyes...

"In that case, I hope you aren't planning to use... whatever it might be for nefarious purposes."

Severus fixes the woman with an odd look upon getting a good-enough look at her. Between the tentacle hair and odd-sounding voice, she certainly seemed like a strange being.

"Who exactly are you, anyway, miss...?"

The woman tilts her head and smiles. It's not a hostile smile by any means, merely a soft curl of the lips, and a polite gesture, but it still feels rather eerie.

   My name is Cauchemar Nox.   

Her purple eyes flick to one corner, a brief movement that the sharpshooter watching from the distance might notice, as that glance is clearly aimed at him. But, just as quickly, the pale-haired woman turns to face Severus, looking him over curiously.

   So, who are you, young man?   

Geo just turned his head to the side in confusion.

”What…? You think that I would make a comment regarding about your ‘features’ and your androidness? Geo asked, as he raised both of his shoulders to perform a out-of-place shrug because he felt like it, before ending it after a few moments. ”Too bad… I’m too much of a dummy to ever think hard about this kind of stuff, so meh… hate to disappoint ya, but I got nothing really interesting to say besides that my name is Georgios or Geo for shortness.

Geo, after finishing his words, just grinned humorously towards the currently unnamed android and put up his left hand for a handshake.

”But heya… don’t you know how to greet a new buddy no name? I gave you my name quite readily, so you should return the favour and give me something to call ya besides good ol’ Red.

She seems too focused on the android to notice the other person.

I merely hoped that you would introduce yourself. I am glad to meet you. he says, shaking his hand. I am Vision. Greetings, Geo.

"I am Miriel." says the woman., still writing down.

Moric casts two spells simultaneously, generating a poisonous cloud of black smoke that expands outwards.

Robin leaps up to the roof of the nearest building to avoid it, and grabs two swords instead of one.

"...I have been noticed. Hmm..."

Seems like the crossbowman has a rather soft, quiet voice. Perfect for someone trying not to draw attention to themselves, actually. He frowns a little at realizing he may have been spotted, but brushes off the incident, now deciding to advance as close as he can without being noticed by anyone else in the area. Mostly to see if he can do it, admittedly.

Despite how ominous and strange he found Cauchemar to be thus far, Severus nonetheless remains composed. If Tharja were here, he imagined that she would have much to discuss with this woman.

"I am Severus. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Cauchemar."

He extends a hand towards her, albeit somewhat warily. Granted, Cauchemar seemed well-mannered and non-hostile for the most part, but considering the nature of the substance she was tampering with earlier...

As for the marksman, the dark-haired mage doesn't appear to have noticed his presence as of yet.

Moric prepares to cast another spell when a teal energy bolt strikes him, knocking him off the pillar of stone.

"Gah!"

Another teal bolt streaks towards Robin.

She avoids it and look upon the sender of the blast.

"Who dares ?"

   Well, nice to meet you as well.   

Cauchemar flashes another soft smile, accepting the handshake with a surprisingly firm grip, which might surprise Severus somewhat. And that brings into mind another oddity... her hands just look bizarre. They seem a bit pale, and her fingernails are very long, although they have been painted black to look more fashionable.

   So, what brings you here?   

The sharpshooter, of course, would notice nothing off for now.

Until the ground nearby begins to rumble gently. If he looks at it, he might notice the same black ooze that the woman was touching slowly welling up from the cracks on the soil...

Qualna stands below, hands raised.

"That's enough "sparring", Moric. And you too, Robin. Get down from there."

She leap down gracefully, jumping from a point to another.

”Nice to meet both of ya guys.” Geo says, as he and Vision shook their hands together while Miriel was writing down notes about the particular Android before her. ”Also I wanna say to ya Vision… don’t even put your guard down… because I got ya right where I want ya!”

Suddenly out of the blue there was a particular object on the hand that was shaking Vision’s hand, but what is it!?

A bomb!? A deadly trap!? Something, something dangerous that will kill something!?

No to the first one, no to the second one, but yes to the third one because in Geo’s hand… was a whoopee cushion that unleashed a large fart sound that was probably reverbing in the area or something.

… Truly, Geo just killed any and all possible chances of the people in this area taking him seriously now with the thing that he just pulled, but meh… Geo doesn’t really care and in fact is now pointing finger guns towards Vision in a jokey manner

”Pew pew pew pew… Man, the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick never gets old for me! … But yeah, sorry if I caused any sort of frightening or whatever with my joke.

Well. Black ooze from the ground is certainly something else. Still, the sharpshooter remains calm, stepping back a little away from the black ooze and unhooking something from under his clothing. Then, he drops a small spherical device on the ground near the black ooze and hopes quite some distance back.

"That looks like it stains. I would rather not have that on my shoes."

The moment he stops talking, the grenade explodes... and covers the area around it in ice! A fairly large area, at that, and with freezing power high enough to turn most people into fragile statues. Or, hell, even outright kill someone of weaker constitution through sheer cold. Thankfully, he's just dropping it on the black ooze, so...
