Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Once everyone has closed their eyes, they might feel funny for a moment.

"Alright, we're here.", Ken says only a second after, and if they open their eyes, they'll find that it's true - they've arrived at the Summoning Grounds.

And a good distance away from them, on a shrine, are Cywina◊, Edwina◊ and Alwina◊, standing in a triangle formation and chanting something in a strange language. A portal is crackling in the middle of their formation.

   "Shit, they've already begun."   , Mara says, then she glances at Wanda and Pietro.

   "Alright, you two want to talk, so go talk."   

Qualna stops charging his attack.

"What? Did he just...disappear? That had to have been some form of teleportation."

He sighs, Aquila vanishing into thin air. "I desire an explanation..."

Fu attempts to study the portal... from a distance, of course. He tries to feel its presence with energy sensing, and also scan it with his Scouter. For some reason.

"Don't worry, his boss's going to explain it all." says Stark. He looks at the drone and create a screen on his arm, his armor seems to have changed since the events of Ultron.

"Huh, Laurent ?"

"Yes ?"

"I think I found your special lady."

Laurent's head snaps forward, in surprise. He soon find his footing again though.

".... Tell me where she is."

"I'll guide you there, because I know that you're going to shoot like a missile when I tell you the address." says Stark. Laurent leaves anyway, Iron Man sighs and follows him.

After Stark and Laurent have taken their leave, the Sons of Odin proceeds to depart as well.

"Alright, let's get to work," Wanda telepathically says to Ken, as she and Pietro approach the trio of girls.

"Sorry to crash the Satanic ritual, ladies, but... how about we don't summon an all-powerful dark lord who'll destroy the world and kill everyone?"

"I understand that you want vengeance on a certain demon. More than anyone. But... is it honestly worth sacrificing an entire world's worth of innocent lives just to obtain it?"

Qualna floats after Stark and Laurent.

He thinks to himself: Wasn't that Strange we just fought? Something's not right here...

There's no presence to the portal, and no power to be sensed. Maybe the portal isn't connected to wherever Count Kevin is yet.

Meanwhile, the girls stop chanting and turn to the Maximoffs, looking wary, and nervous when they see Officer Ken appearing as well.

"You again!?"

"Do you think that, just because you've brought reinforcements, that you can stop us now?"

"How about you all just leave and-"

   "How about you answer the nice lady's question?"   , Mara says as she appears, her statement oozing with sarcasm. The girls look shocked though.

"M-Master Mara?"

"Why are you siding with that man?"

Mara glares darkly.

   "Answer!"   

The three freeze up for a moment, then start talking.

"You have the wrong idea about us, Master Mara!"

"We're not trying to get revenge on you!"

"We're trying to get revenge for you!"

Mara pauses, raising her eyebrow.

   "... For me?"   

"Yes! After what happened, we had to avenge you!"

"So we tried to find a way to get back at this world. We searched through your notes of dark beings."

"And we thought that we could get Count Kevin to kill some of your past enemies for you. To get back at them!"

Officer Ken, naturally, doesn't look too pleased about this, and glances at Wanda and Pietro, silently asking them what they think about this.

"Hey, Rhea! I'm Goku- the guy talking through my earpiece is Single, and the tiny guy back there is Goma."

"Hello hello, youngins."

Kakarotto puts his hand to his head for a second again as Goma walks to the fore.

"Hey Beerus, Single says hi."

"I get the feeling they might be bluffing in order to sate Mara's wrath. After all, they didn't seem to recognize me and Pietro even though we're two of Mara's greatest enemies," Wanda telepathically says to Ken. "Of course, we can't be 100% sure."

"So... you were gonna summon the Dark Lord Kevin to serve Mara?" Pietro asks the girls, raising an eyebrow.

"The same Kevin your master is apparently terrified of."

Despite the temptation, Wanda ultimately keeps from flashing a smug smirk at Mara after that remark.

"Tell him I say hi back."

"Wait do you know who he's talking about?"

"My knowledge and memory is more expansive than you realize, West Supreme Kai."

"... I have a name, you know."

Fu does a chuckle and turns off his Scouter as he turns his attention to the others.

"My take on it is simple: No matter what the reason, summoning Kevin here could lead to a horrible future for the Arena as a whole. And I don't like bad futures."

He rests an arm on the sheathe of his sword, although he is not actually holding any part of it so it might be hard to tell that it's even a sword sheathe.

"Anyways, I was just here to drop this guy off, so…"

He tosses Goma something which looks similar to Zen'O's button.

"See you guys!"

He starts to walk off, chattering with Single about 'reparations' and 'mutual threat' and other politicky words.

Goma waves the receding saiyan goodbye before turning back to the others.

"It may be possible they were never told what you look like. Regardless of if they are or aren't bluffing, we have to ensure they don't complete the ritual.", Ken telepathically replies.

The three girls pause at what Wanda, Pietro and Fu say, then glance at Mara, who, surprisingly, doesn't suddenly make a 180 and evilly congratulate them for getting to her enemies. Instead, her glare turns darker.

   "First of all, you three should know damn well what my opinion is on messing with time! Second of all, you're obviously basing your plan on the idea that you'd be the ones in control!"   

"We would be, we researched your spells!"

"And he'll kill everyone here!"

"Except Nicole."

The two other girls look at Edwina, confused.

"Uh, what?"

"Nicole, the woman who was really nice to me. I don't want her to die..."

"Fine, then we'll tell the Count not to kill her."

   " Are you deaf!? Nobody is going to tell the Count to do anything!"   , Mara growls.

"Please, if you halt the ritual and promise not to attempt to do it again, I'll leave you be.", Ken says. "I'll walk away and never bother the three of you again."

The girls now seem to contemplate their words, glancing at one another. They then look back, distraught.

"We... just thought that she'd be proud of us."

   "For breaking my morals and doing something too dangerous and hasty for anyone's good?"   , Mara sneers.

"We're sorry, we didn't mean to..."

"Please don't hate us, we owe you our lives. W-we'd never... o-on purpose..."

Mara glances back at Wanda, Pietro, Fu and Ken for a moment, then sighs and turns back to the girls.

   "Look, I'll forget this happened, just this once, if you just end the ritual now."   

The three look overjoyed... then their expressions freeze.

"Wait... sisters? Didn't we-"

"-use a lasting spell that-"

"-works gradually?"

They slowly turn back to the portal, which grows much bigger in an instant. The three yelp and leap towards Mara, hiding behind her. And, again surprisingly, Mara doesn't just move aside or push them away, or anything one'd come to expect from her.

Though that may be due to the feelings her expression describes.

The portal starts to crackle more, and a large, almost rectangular shape starts to become visible. A shape that cannot possibly belong to a person.

Out of the portal, a burial coffin appears, plainly landing on the ground. The portal then vanishes. It doesn't look like anything special. It's plain and wooden, not even painted in any way. The only thing of note is that there's three locks on the side of the lid.

Ken, seeing this, calms down a little.

"O-oh, look! The coffin, it's locked. So maybe, if we don't open it, nothing will happen."

Mara's serious look of dread will tell everyone otherwise though.

"So, ummm. Hi. Who are you?"

Fu snorts and giggles a bit. An individual capable of sensing energy may notice that a portion of his physical presence has simply vanished.

Basically he's swapped himself out with a remote-controlled double for safety's sake, so the double will fight while the real one has already skedaddled.

Mirage!Fu says, "Something tells me he's uncontrollable. Anyone here know the Mafuba so we can seal him right back away?"

Judging by the fact that he's walking closer to the coffin, he's already assumed no one around actually knows techniques for containment of other living beings.

"What morals, Mara?"

Before either Maximoff can say anything, the coffin emerges from the portal. While Pietro raises an eyebrow at sight of it, Wanda sends another telepathic message to Ken.

"So... I don't suppose you have a plan for dealing with this coffin aside from leaving it locked,"

"I am just Goma, Goku's current teacher. I think I may have lasted the longest of them, actually."

He bows in salutation, now that he is the one in the main conversation.

"I know know you at least, Beerus, and- he turns to Rhea you just introduced yourself to Goku, so…"

Ken replies by shaking his head, then looks at Fu and panics.

"What are you doing!? Don't get too close to that coffin!"

   "It doesn't matter if he gets close to it."   , Mara says, taking a step back as the coffin starts to rumble.

One by one, the locks open, and the casket slowly creakes as it starts to move.

... No movements, no sounds, not even breathing. The coffin lays there for a good while like that.

But suddenly, the lid practically launches off of the coffin, as what appears to be horrifyingly graphic masses of flesh fly out of it, headed for the group with a high, almost mettalic screeching sound that'd cause most people to cover their ears to avoid being deafened.

Mara quickly creates a barrier to block the attack. The barrier actually protects the whole group, not just herself. It may be because of the panic that she didn't bother.

The attack lasts a good 30 seconds before it comes to a sudden halt, then retreats back into the coffin without a second thought, after which a figure slowly emerges.

Count Kevin Awakens

The figure, its skin fully grey without contrast, is thin and long, just big enough to be a little freaky to look at, but not enough that the mind can rationalize it as a giant. Its legs and arms are freakishly thin though, looking like even grabbing a hold of them could shatter their bones. The figure wears no clothes other than what appears to be a cloak that's long enough to reach the ground from the figure's otherwise bare shoulders. Its face is cold and emotionless, its eyes too narrow to be comfortable with, which isn't helped by the fact that it has a third one on its forehead, which is just as narrow. Lastly, it has hair that could remind one a bit of Hisoka, but it's noticably longer and thinner. Not to mention that, unlike with normal hair, the figure's hair looks less like it's on top of its head and more like it's part of its head's anatomy. Along with its ears being pointy, it makes its head look unnaturally shaped.

Slowly, it looks the group over, not saying a word, not changing its expression, stance, or anything resembling the slightest of reactions.

Mara grits her teeth, and takes a stance. Not a battle stance, but one to flee if she has to. Just seeing that makes Ken more nervous and uncertain than he's been so far.

They both bow.

"Pleasure to meet you, Goma."

Mirage!Fu draws his sword and takes a defensive stance.

Wanda and Pietro can only stare in utter shock as Kevin emerges from his coffin. After a moment, they finally speak up.

"Okay... this guy really doesn't look like a Kevin..."

"What the hell...?"

He glances around.

"Hm hm, would you two mind explaining to me about this realm? I can tell it is different from the normal universe, at least."

Count Kevin looks to his left, then his right, then behind... as his head turns all the way back, like an owl's.

This would only be fairly creepy instead of really creepy, if it weren't for the fact that every movement he makes is way too fluent, like there's no bones in his body. But every movement he makes sounds like he's breaking and snapping bones in the process.

He then turns his head to look at the group again, his neck spinning back to a normal position, and gracefully steps out of his coffin, his eyes going over everyone.

He sees that the three girls are scared, shaking from behind the woman in red, tattered clothes, who's glaring fearfully. He then sees the young man in black, who looks pale, and sorta blue on his nose, either being very fearful or having trouble breathing right now. Then his gaze lands on the other woman in red, the one who looks much more refined, next to the man in blue, looking at their shock. Finally, his eyes land on the young man with the purple skin, the one with a sword.

A grin then shifts on his face so fast that it could be a jumpscare, and he leaps at the mirage Fu, his body phazing and attempting to step into the same spot his target is in.

If it fails, he'll simply appear behind the mirage Fu again as his body turns back to normal.

But if it works...

If it works, Count Kevin will disappear into the mirage Fu's body, then grow inside of him and burst out of him.

Regardless of if it works or not, Count Kevin's eyes will then once again land on the rest of the group, his creepy, wide grin still on his face.

Rhea and Beerus explain the fundamental metaphysics of the Arena (wonky time, respawn, environmental self-repair, etc.) to Goma.

A sharp crashing noise echoes out from Mirage!Fu's body as Kevin's attack appears to succeed...

But instead of, say, exploding into a mess of blood and gore, he just starts fading out of reality.

As he looks... well, inside Kevin, he comments, "Huh... Guess he's a lot tougher than I anticipated."

Then the mirage ceases to be.

The actual Fu immediately leaps back into the fray from out of nowhere, bringing his sword down at Kevin with a diving slash.

He nods along.

"I see, I see."

"So, what are you doing here, youngins?"

Once Kevin attacks the mirage Fu, the Maximoffs proceed to spring into action. While Pietro transforms into his Chaos Form◊ and hurls a Chaos Spear towards the Count, Wanda begins charging an attack.

   "No much of a talker, are you?"   

Pera raised her hand, forming a ball of ki but continued to compact ki into the sphere in an attempt to make it hit with more force upon impact. After putting in a large amount of ki while still trying to maintain a small form, she shot the sphere at the end of the blade, trying to push the sword in an angle that it would screw with the Fox's jaw.

The Devourer sighed. "I think this little pest has had its fun by now. My turn." She floated into a portal behind her, emerging from another moments later in her worm form and diving straight for Ninetails, biting at its neck.

Storm Weaver, who was preparing to attack, instead jumped back in surprise as the Devourer of Gods came crashing down towards the fox.
