Bahamut then proceeded to tell that incredibly strange and rather silly tale to Kurrikket, along with other stories of varying kinds, as they walked to NLA.

Neuff also regenerates her arm fully but get pushed back by the attacks.

"No need for backup, I can handle this !" she says, transforming Thundercrusher into an axe and going for several slices of it, powered by her Super-Strength.

Her sisters ignore her and moves on to attack the S tiers, with the three sisters attacking him together !

The trio of attacks, plus occasional bullets or ki blasts from soldiers who run out of targets is too much for the daemon to handle, and it goes down. It hits the ground and roars, trying to get up, but then every soldier in the vicinity rushes it to finish it off with blasts and blows.

It dies quickly, though it takes a couple of brawlers with it.

Only a few hundred daemons remain, and all of them are pretty much F or Ø Tier, along with a small horde of broo.

The main red one in the center is feeling real good about his life right now. It looks up, finally noticing that the vast majority of the daemon army was cut off when the planet jumped.

"…?"

Oca starts putting away the artillery.

"Shit, do we kill it ?" says Neuff, holding her axe up.

The broo fly outwards, and get slaughtered.

The remaining major daemon, royally pissed off, locks onto Nueff and blasts off the ground, rocketing towards her at nigh relativistic speed.

"SKREEEE-"

Oca picks up a rock.

Since she's not weakened by the Arena, Neuff is able to react and punch at it.

The daemon takes the punch and its head whips back, but appears to take little to no damage. It starts laughing maniacally, and lunges forwards, claws ripping in from the sides…

Only for Oca to telefrag its braincase by superimposing the rock over it. Mineral and daemonflesh intersect, pieces interchanging at the molecular level with the stone particles overflowing throughout and interrupting the processes going on in the daemonic grey matter. … And then the rock is ripped out from its forehead.

It screeches in "AGCGHK!" and then dies.

"Whoah, what was the guy's problem ?" says Neuff, powering down.

He tosses the remains of the fused daemon brain/rock.

"Probably being a daemon."

The million or so surviving soldiers break up into celebration. Most of them start flying (or walking, or driving) over to the nearby hive city towards the east, but a good number just sort of hang around in the desert and mop up the surviving broo or bust out the Hetap.

The vast majority of them appear to be xenos similar to this, equipped with small cannons strapped across their backs. The ground is pretty corrupted, but that ain't their problem.

"Glad we did a good thing.'" says Neuff, sighing and smiling. The sisters celebrate as well, as Neuff proceeds to faints. They don't bother to catch her though.

"She'll be fine."

"… I probably shouldn't mention that the system this planet was in, you know, where we left most of the daemons, had another inhabited world only a couple dozen million kilometers away?"

Most of the soldiers celebrations have degenerated into partying.

One of the Metamoran soldiers yeets a Hetap can at one of his fellows, and a playful brawl breaks out, with one of the barely surviving broo being used as a free-for-all punching bag.

Another can flies out of the scramble and towards Diez.

Domon jumps down to Nats. "I'm good, Nats. You can keep the picture and ask others about it, if it's not too much of a hassle."

Reyna looks down from the Wyvern Esper's shoulder. "Mmhh." She clambers down its arm and drops to the ground.

"Reyna's not normally so broody and sluggish. Do you think you could help her out at all?"

Miles took a few moments but eventually he did start to calm down, and let out a sigh before taking a seat, "...I'm...guessing you've had bad experiences with electricity?"

Cinke grabs some pills and get her sisters to eat them, bringing them back up to their full health and stamina.

"Can't sleep as long as people are in danger !" says Neuff, as Deez intercepts the can and drink it !

"I… yeah… ugh…"

He pulls out a few status cure items and pops them into his mouth/flesh.

He slowly 'chews' them.

"… So you guys wanna head back for the other planet?"

A few of the soldiers around the outskirts are looking a bit confused. They might be able to hear them with their super senses.

"ey, why cannit ged a connegtion? whaddatha bleeding countah chaos twits doin?"

"Yeah, let's." says Neuff. "But we should get someone to explain what happened to them."

"Again, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you relive something so unpleasant," She moved herself closer to him, "I won't force you to talk about it right now as it's not my place, but...when you feel ready, I'll listen, ok?"

"I… okay…"

He's still shaky, but popping those Confusion Cures into him let him get a hold of himself for the most part.

"i'm sorry…"

"Hm… eh, I'll tell Single to do it. He probably has a foothold in here."

"So… we tping back out?"

He holds out a hand.

"Alright, here we go again." says the sisters as they grab his hand.

"No need to apologize. It's not like you knew I could shoot lightning, and I didn't even consider asking you if you had anything I needed to watch out for..." She finally decided to look at him, "I think that's enough for today. I've already put you through enough anyways, so how about I just give you that new ability I promised and then give you some time to yourself?"

"Y-yeah, okay."

He manages to straighten himself out.

Old Nuclearverse, planet Yardrat

They appear on a dry rocky landscape, with patches of trees and brush. A few hundred kilometers away a small army of teleporting xenos is preparing for what looks like a ten trillion strong assault of daemons flowing in from near space.

Oca glances at the Sisters.

"Yall ready?"

"Alright, what you in the mood for? I can make you almost any ability you want. The only rules are my power seem to be I can't make reality warping, true invulnerability, or any form of time manipulation, and things like that. Anything else is fair game."

"I was born ready !" yells Diez, summoning the other Sisters, including, of all people, Troa and Katre !

"Hurgh, reduced to serving you..."

"If you try anything, you're getting killed." warns Ain. "And I'll kill you in an instant if I see fit, so be careful."

"Be careful Ain." says Deut. "Remember : coordination."

"I'm taking the left flank for myself !" says Jam.

"No ? You gotta share !" answers Neuff.

"It'll make for a good painting." says Sees.

"No, a good photo."

"Hugh, this is why I hate artists !"

"Yes, art does require intelligence after all !" says Cinke to Katre.

The sisters yells afterwards and dash towards the army;

"Uh… I think I'm good... maybe technomancy?"

"Or maybe super smarts."

He sniggers at Troa, and rushes after them.

He whips out his Evisceration Blade, starts charging up his teleportation core, and reminds himself that he still owes Troa that can of Hetap.

"I hope they eventually remember that the whole point of this was to get the planet out of here…"

For the first time in a while, Miles/Nebula actually snickers, "I'm sure I can do either of those, but you're gonna have to explain in detail what exactly technomancy is."
