Nicole takes a seat on the ground, motioning for Neuff to join her.

"When you put it that way, I can't help wondering if Cinke was inspired by your buddy Thor and his hammer when she created Thundercrusher."

"Perhaps ? It can channel other forms of energies as well. It's not as potent, or so I heard, but it's polyvalent. And it can shapeshift too. To put it in, er, early 21th century terms, it's the swiss knife to Mjolnir's... hammer."

Reyna walks over to Nicole, pulling Xeno Shmaena out of nowhere and holding the Insect Glaive up to the arcane half-dragon. "You want to see proof that Xeno'jiiva is a threat? Try channeling your magic into this, a staff made of its flesh. See what happens to you."

If Nicole actually does it, both she and Reyna will be drained of enough energy to make them both collapse to the ground half-dead.

"In other words, Cinke was trying to one-up Mjolnir? I sure as hell would put it past her."

Nicole then raises an eyebrow at Reyna.

"First off, thanks for the offer, but I get the feeling that channeling Arcane Magic into that bad boy might be a little hazardous for my health. Second, I never said Xeno'jiiva wasn't a serious threat, just that I've kinda had my fill of battling apocalypse-level threats after two separate occasions that happened only days ago; hence why I wasn't incredibly enthused about the idea of taking on this Xeno'jiiva thing."

"I mean. I want to fight this thing, not only coz I love fighting, but also because people are in danger. I guess that you're tired but if there is an enemy that threaten this realm, you gotta take it down before it does any danger to the people who can't defend themselves."

She shake her head.

"And I know, there are people who can handle this, but its best to at least check it out. If you think that the giant rampaging monster is someone else's problem, well, it'll quickly become yours."

Neuff shrugs.

"I don't know. It's different things. Mjolnir give me an actual power boost for an instance, this thing doesn't."

"Well, with the Ahab analogy, I figured you thought it was an insignificant issue or a matter of petty rivalry. But fine. I don't think Xeno'jiiva's draining power is going to intensify anytime soon, so we'll have time to spare."

Reyna turns to face Akuma. "We can talk later. I've got prep to do." She hurries off.

"See ya."

After bidding farewell to Reyna, Nicole looks back to Neuff and sighs.

"I get the point you're trying to make here, Neuffie, but in only the past few days, I've had to deal with Troa going apeshit and throwing a destructive tantrum, followed by this digital-looking douchebag trying to level the Arena with Groudon and Kyogre. And now I've learned about Xeno'jiiva the life drainer just a couple days after the latter event, so... I'm not really eager to fight this scaly bastard. Besides, I've already got enough on my plate as it is."

She looks into the distance.

"And rescue people of course."

"Even though you've already got just as much crap to deal with as me, if not more? Then you must either be a glutton for punishment or trying to encourage me to actually help fight this thing. Y'know, even though folks like, say... Goku or Vegeta could probably handle it better."

Nicole waves goodbye to Neuff, then gets up and flies away.

New Los Angeles... Later

Ancient Monsters of Destruction

Tempered Deviljho gazes upon the city, and immediately sets about laying waste to it. Building after building crumbles as the beast enacts its rampage, and then... silence.

The dust settles. An image becomes visible amongst the ruins. An image... that grows.

The Tempered Deviljho is now the size of a World Eater Deviljho.

Dragon Man warps in, quickly followed by Yellow Kirby and Mega Man.

Slayer was near by, hearing the city being destoryed he jumps toward Yellow kirby ”What the hell is going on!?”

Marie is away from the city, hiding in a special spot close to it.

"Ooooooohhwwooooooo OOOOOOOOOOOOO !" resonate a distant scream, as Jam emerges out of the sky, covered in fire and with both hands raised. She yells and attempt to crash into the monster, with her own Super-Strength as well as the carried momentum of her fall.

NLA

Megan awoke from a quick powernap. She was groggier than usual, but she fixed that with a drink containing... something. It was probably some kind of alcohol, but none that any of the other fighters would have been familiar with. She grabbed a two healing potions, two mana potions, a grappling hook, and a primal armor potion. She had her gun and blade as always, but also decided to test out her new gunlance. She felt like something was off, and it wasn't until she walked outside that realized what it was — disaster alarms were blaring. The BLADEs were helping to evacuate the city, at least temporarily, until the gargantuan Jho was dealt with. Megan snapped out of her daze, and simply said under her breath, "Well, shit."

She parkoured her way up a nearby building to get a better look at the beast, the gunlance and shield strapped to her back, before trying to spot any other fighters to group up with.

A storm grows overhead, rain soaking the streets as the rampage was happening. The clouds were stirring, something visibly moving around up there. That something would soon turn out to be much more than any old creature, however, as Storm Weaver burst forth, its poisoned, electrified jaws aimed directly for the Deviljho's neck.

Storm Weaver has awoken!

Slayer, throws a sphere the of a bowling ball of twilight at it ”So anyone got a plan for dealing with this beast?”

Domon descends, in Burning Gundam. His voice echoes out, "This monster has made itself an immediate enemy of all mankind. I don't know if it's the same one as before, but it will not go unpunished!"

"That's right!" Kirby says.

"We'll avenge everyone!" Mega Man says.

Dragon Man fires a twin-dragons charge shot.

Seemingly unfazed by the incoming attacks, Tempered World-Eater Deviljho roars to the heavens... and promptly gets nicked by Storm Weaver's Dynamic Entry, making it reel back before roaring right in everyone's faces.

Proof of a Hero

It then tries to hipcheck (sort of like a shoulder bash but with your whole body) the gigantic worm into the building that Megan happens to be standing on. Even if Storm Weaver evades the hipcheck, Deviljho itself will hit the building and probably topple it.

Jam fly up in the sky and try to hit Deviljho with a concentrated fire blast, yelling out as the fire stream grow larger, hotter and stronger by the second.

"Wha— Oh holy SHIT!"

Megan attempted to leap off the building as far as her legs would carry her. The fall wouldn't be a huge issue, but she figured being hip-checked by something that large would be a much more significant problem. If she was successful in leaping off of the building before the Jho got to it, she would spin to face it, lance drawn and shield up. If not... she preferred not to think of that part.

Storm Weaver was slammed into the building, emerging on the other side disoriented and tossed around but mostly unharmed. It released a burst of electricity to try and stun the monster, or at least distract it from the real attack the worm was preparing.

Slayer runs into the the city trying to help out as many people as possible. Occasionally throwing a sphere of light or darkness
