Junior lifts off and flies a few meters up.

Star Sapphire Isle

Megan took in the sight of the bioenergy of everything living around her. It was... incredible. It was the kind of sight that bards of all kinds would have killed for. The sense of the signature of deities was overwhelming — if other signature where stars in the distance, then gods were like quasars aimed at her senses, burning with an incredible and glorious presence. She shut her Dragonsenses off, letting the world fade back to the visible spectrum once more. Once she was back to normal, sense-wise, she turned to Oca.

"Ha! Don't I know it! I still think White-Demon hasn't forgotten about the fact that I completely raided the Council's supply stockpiles before I went dimension-hopping for the first time," she said, pausing as a grave and ominous thought lingered in her mind. She shuddered and said, "Second thought, maybe I shouldn't be thinking about my old employers. Anyways, we were going down thataway."

She gestured into the mouth of the cave system that the island sat on top of.

   "I mean brining your... son... along,"    Iraaxos said, attempting to be respectful in referring to Junior.

"Yeah, we were gonna go into the cave to see what Xeno'jiiva's actually doing. Although..."

She peers into the caverns. "Looks like it's quite a ways away. We're on the shore of a full-sized island, not some miniature piece of land, and I'd estimate Jiiva's at the center. Maybe we should call it a day for now."

"Ah, come on! Junior might look like a normal saiyan kid after his recent surgery, but he's still one of the most... MOST surface mutant on the wastes! He can kick ass when I point and say 'sic em'!"

Junior burbles.

"Excellent! Megan, don't forget the line cannon!"

Sapphire Star Isle

"Right. I still have it right... here. I made sure to flick the safety on before setting it down — I'm interesting in seeing The Long Walk again, at least not today."

   "I am unfamiliar with the exacts of what you mean, but I shall trust your judgement on this, I suppose."   

Iraaxos and Megan both slightly went, "Oh," when Junior started floating.

Turning to Reyna, Megan said, "I guess we should. Do you want me to call in a BLADE shipment from HQ, for a sleep bag or four?"

[BLIND AND FROZEN]! Time has now frozen for this scenario.

"No, I meant we should leave. Head back to the mainland, maybe use Galileo to figure out the placement of this island relative to the rest of the world. Then we can come back once we've figured out exactly how Xeno'jiiva is gaining energy from the living, and since we'll know all the facts, we can kill it without leaving any questions unanswered."

Reyna looks back over at Oca. "You cool with that?"

"Sure, whatever. I'm up for some investigate-y stuff after that huge fight, anyways."

"You guys wanna just teleport back?"

Junior flitters over to him, and wraps his tail around his arm.

"... I just had a great, or maybe terrible idea."

"But whatever. Hey Megan, you wanna see the artillery I swiped once we get back?"

Sapphire Star Isle

Megan has a moment of recognition. "Sorry. I think I'm too used to spending nights and days out in the field. At least it isn't too hard to get back here, with Oca around. I'm in favor of using Galileo, since that will give us a much better idea if we need to get here without teleportation," she said to Reyna

Turning to Oca again, she said, "Oh, definitely. We'll have to find a nice, quite, blasted middle-of-nowhere-type place to give these things a whirl later on." She has that concerning, explosion-loving grin again.

Iraaxos, not having anything to really add to that, immediately aligned himself so that he was facing into the breeze, and turned precisely five degrees to the left. This elicited a brief look of bafflement from Megan.

"Alright, then. We should practice our draconic abilities against each other - maybe even bring in that 'Domon' guy I've seen around, who you've mentioned once or twice."

Reyna recalls GSFFNw into the Ultra Ball, then climbs onto Galileo's back. When Megan gets on, it will take to the skies and head for NLA, giving its riders a good view of the world below.

"Bye! Look for my energy and find me later, Megan!"

He watches them go.

He then turns to Junior.

"So... who wants some Fissile Bubblegum Ice Cream?"

Junior makes happy baby noises, and they teleport out.

Sapphire Star Isle

"Cya around, Oca."

   "Farewell. May we meet again."   

Megan landed in NLA — specifically, at the front door to the BLADE HQ building. She bid Reyna well, and went back to her room in the barracks. Much to her disbelief, there was now a relatively large item box there. Upon opening she received a note — apparently, written by herself, although she possessed no memory of the box or the items within. The note said the following:

Heyo. I get that this isn't going to make a whole lot of sense, but trust me. Well, trust yourself, but same idea. There are many weapons in here for you to use — some of them will be in much better condition than others, and some will be just plain stronger, but they are all powerful to a skilled user. Hope these give you an edge in your coming battles!

PS- Oh, before I forget, I also included a copy of my current field guide for you, although I don't know how useful that will be. Hopefully, very!

And indeed, there were many weapons in the box — at least one of each of the kinds that Reyna had described. There where more sword and shield pairs than any other weapon, however. What caught Megan eyes, however, were the single, large, folded gunlance, and its paired shield. They were a sort of dull, woodland green, and a name was engraved along the handle.

"'Princess Panoply'? Not my usual style, buuuuut... I'm willing to make an exception for this lovely thing, I think," she said, setting the massive contraption back into the box for the time being. "Not sure about that 'Wyvernbane' part in the note, though — I've never had that title or last name."

She has yet to notice her tail-spike-nub-...thing at this time.

Iraaxos found his stop early, and bid adieu to Megan and Reyna. He landed in the deep, shaded jungles of Noctilum, and immediately set to exploring more. Perhaps his humanoid form had given him a bit of humanoid wanderlust, perhaps not. Who could say when it came to The Elder Tyrant?

Vague Sylvalum

The Tempered Deviljho prowls the area, its hunger once more intensified by its life being sapped away. The half-eaten corpses of Legiana and Tzitzi Ya-ku have been left in its wake.

It sniffs out some raw meat lying out in the open and approaches hungrily, saliva pouring from its mouth.

Neuff is going around, with the new technological axe chucked over her shoulder. Tron Lines run over its white surface, glowing yellow, as she casually carry the large axe.

Sylvalum

Nicole can be seen taking a stroll nearby when she spots Neuff. As she approaches the Sister, she raises an eyebrow at the sight of her new weapon.

"So... you mind telling me when, where, and how the hell you got your hands on that thing, Neuffie?"

Vague Sylvalum

Bahamut tore across the open land from the north-east, still quite a ways out, but travelling at an incredible speed. He could see his target — the great, shining, nearly-golden pickle-looking beast — quite clearly against the pale tones of the pollen that coated this frigid land of Sylvalum.

The Tempered Deviljho approaches the raw meat and eats it. It then glares at Neuff and Nicole in front of it and rears its head to roar...

The Voracious Devil

... Before suddenly closing its eyes and falling asleep, as the meat had been drugged.

Reyna comes out into the open, approaching the Deviljho.

"Well, its-"

The Deviljho roar, Neuff take a stance, preparing the axe, but then get up when the beast fall asleep of a sudden. Interested, she uses her powerful muscles to leap close to Reyna, taking her time to look at her armor and nodding in impressed approval.

"So, what the hell is that thing ?"

Then she notice the other armored person with her vision.

"Pal of yours ?"

"Well, that I don't really know."

"Hmph."

Rozwel, Adel, and Akuma wandered into the scene at Vague Sylvalum. They didn't even notice anything until the Jho roared... And promptly fell asleep. Now they were alert, but relaxed as they observed it, as well as Reyna and Neuff.

"Oh, for Christ's sake!"

Throwing her hands up in frustration, Nicole runs after Neuff and joins her near the currently downed Deviljho.

"It's only been, what, a couple days since those Groudon and Kyogre things nearly brought about the goddamn apocalypse, and now there's another giant monster?! Give me a fucking break, Arena..."

She lets out a deep sigh as she facepalms before glancing at Reyna.

"So... what the hell is this overgrown lizard even doing here, anyway? I swear to god, if it nearly destroys this place as well, then let's just say I won't be a happy camper."

Then she looks at Neuff.

"Anyway, about that new weapon you're lugging around..."

Reyna shrugs. "I don't know who you're talking about. As for this big lug..." She grunts as she plants two Mega Barrel Bombs in front of Tempered Deviljho's head, then a Large Barrel Bomb.

"It's a Tempered Deviljho. It has some connection to the elder dragon Xeno'jiiva by virtue of its Tempered state, and I aim to find that connection if I have to carve up every cubic inch of its flesh to find it, because Xeno'jiiva is the real threat."

Reyna opens up each of her Poké Balls (specifically the Cherish Ball and the Ultra Ball), unleashing Galileo (no longer Mega Evolved) and GSFFNw. "Alright, everyone. I want you to use power-up moves, then hit this bastard with your strongest attacks in unison."

Galileo used Dragon Dance!

Galileo's Attack increased!

Galileo's Speed increased!

GSFFNw used Calm Mind!

GSFFNw's Special Attack increased!

GSFFNw's Special Defense increased!

Galileo flies up and descends upon the Deviljho with Dragon Ascent, and Deoxys emits a Psycho Boost. The others present have enough time to throw out their own attacks, but as soon as Tempered Deviljho is hit by anything, it will awaken.

Vague Sylvalum

Bahamut was much closer now, close enough to see the Jho suddenly go to sleep. He stops dead in his tracks, causing a huge amount of pollen to lift off of the ground and swirl around from just the drop in drag. He stood there, arms folded, looking at the sleeping Jho while standing next to the group.

"I would never dare attack a sleeping foe — that's just dishonorable!," he said. "However, I have nothing against increasing the power of my friends."

He drew his blade, and pointed it to the heavens. Every allied fighter around him would then begin to glow slightly — different colors for different fighters. Additionally, they should all feel stronger in general — a bit faster, a bit more physically powerful, and more resilient. "Divine Art: Ability-Boosting Wave!"

"I'm not sure about hitting stuff while it's weak." she says, planting her axe down to the ground and leaning on it. "I'll wait till its fully back up."

Neuff fold her arms.

"Cinke gave it to me, it can shapeshift."

"Yeah, forgive me if I ain't jumping at the chance to sign on with your crew and help kill that white whale you call Xeno'jiiva, Captain Ahab."

Nicole runs a hand through her hair, then turns to Neuff.

"Lemme guess, it's either a reward for bringing down Troa or she needed someone to test this shapeshifting hammer-axe hybrid... thing, and you were the only one available. Knowing Cinke, my money's on the latter."

"I think you had fight for weeks back when we fought... What was her name? Troa?"

GSFFNw's attack failed!

"WHAT"

Galileo bears down on the Deviljho, engulfing the area in a massive explosion on impact.

Reyna glares at Nicole. "Xeno'jiiva is an elder dragon that absorbs bioenergy from dead and dying creatures to fuel its growth. Except now that it's in the Arena, it's also absorbing from the living. I need to find out how that is before it absorbs the entire Arena, you idiot!"

Reyna moves like she's about to attack Nicole, only for the Tempered Deviljho to suddenly charge into her and send her flying back.

The Deviljho roars in anger, before trying to chomp down on each of its assembled foes in rapid succession.
