Kirby zooms into the ship with ICE, trying to freeze the whole thing solid with a series of blizzard-like Star Shots to prevent it from possibly exploding, like how Darius' Blizzard Cleaver stopped the Security Force's self-destruct. Regardless of whether it works or not, the Star Dragoon flies him back out.

Megan awoke from her meditation / powernap, just outside of NLA, and full of energy once more. She took a look at what potions she had, and began doing some research on the properties of some of the local flora and fauna of this region. Her full satchel had been lost in the interdimensional transit, floating in the void, but her knowledge of Alchemy certainly wasn't going anywhere. She eventually found ways to replicate health potion and mana potions from a mix of various substances, though the more complicated potions still eluded her. After this, she decided to head back into the city and see if her BLADE application had been accepted yet.

Thor leaps from the ship and attempts to smash Elmadan into the ground with Mjolnir. If successful, he'll then attempt to send him flying into Deepsea with another swing.

"Had you simply given us the actual Apple back on your ship, things wouldn't have needed to get this complicated!"

"Nah, sounds a tad more like cynicism, if you ask me."

While Elmadan gets caught by the kinetic bubble, Captain Deepsea manages to teleport out of the way in time. As such, Elmadan also gets hit by Neuff's plasma disk, which makes him flinch, breaking off his concentration and making the glow in his eyes disappear, his attack cancelled out.

Captain Deepsea reappears in front of Neuff.

"Negative. We cannot trust you on your word, as you-WHIRR-already lied to us about your intentions. You are ordinary thieves-"

Elmadan, unable to move, gets smashed into the ground, picked up and thrown at Captain Deepsea, making the both of them fall onto the ground once more. Elmadan appears to be out cold, but Captain Deepsea, despite damage starting to show over his body, gets back up.

"You-BZZZT-you... what do you-RRRRRRR-even need the Apple for?", he asks, starting to sound damaged as well.

Kirby then succeeds in freezing the UFO solid. Surprisingly, Captain Deepsea doesn't have much of a reaction to it.

She stop attacking for now, and just land in front of the Captain.

"We need it for something... huh, Thor's gonna say it." she says. "

Neuff turns to look at Dominic and waves.

"Say thanks to Kennith for me, he really saved our asses with that message."

Kirby uses YO-YO again, this time trying to tear into Captain Deepsea with a Break Spin.

"No problem." Dominic & Kennith reply. He watches the conversation for now, ready for more fighting if need be.

"Hey, I think we need information from them." He says to Kirby, putting up a weak barrier between him and Deepsea, more as a warning than actually trying to stop him.

Thor quickly moves to block Kirby's attack with Mjolnir, then motions for him to stand down before looking at Deepsea.

"If you must know, I need the Apple in order to know what some... unpredictable enemies of mine- Assassins, if you will -have planned in the near future. Should one of their plans possibly involve targeting Greyface, I doubt Giygas would be feeling merciful towards any of his subordinates..."

He looks to Neuff.

"I apologize for the late explanation, Neuff. I wasn't expecting you to be here when Elmadon's ship arrived, so there wasn't much time for me to elaborate."

"You mean Deut, right? Maybe she could, provided she doesn't also get you thinking that Katre and Troa aren't irredeemable dirtbags."

Captain Deepsea, for a moment, seems like he's going to hear them out.

"...Assassins?"

He then gets hit by Kirby's attack, getting knocked to the ground despite the attack having been weakened.

Of course, he gets back up immediately.

"Your intentions-RRRRRRRRRR-are dishonest...-BZZZZT-you will never..."

He twitches.

"never-never-never-never-never-BEEP-BZZZT-never steal the Apple of Enlightenment. I will... will-RRRRRRRRRRR-make sure of that."

He strikes a pose.

"I will defend-RRRRRRRRR-BBBZZZZTTTT-Master Giygas' honor!"

Elmadan, meanwhile, slowly gets back up, though doesn't attack, scheming something instead. He puts his tentacle-hands on Captain Deepsea's shoulders to get his attention.

"Now hold on for a moment...", he says, grinning. "These people seem to have information about other people who could potentially pose a threat to Master Giygas. I think we should be reasonable, don't you think? Go get me the Apple, captain."

"What? But-"

"Captain. Go get me the Apple."

"..."

He teleports into the frozen ship, using PK Fire to burn his way into the room the Apple is held in, grabs it, then teleports back outside, giving it to Elmadan, who glances at his opponents as he grabs it tightly with both arms.

"Now, you will stand down, or you're getting an apple made out of diamond!"

His eyes glow.

"And no funny movements either. If I even see you as much as twitch..."

Captain Deepsea suddenly appears shocked.

"You cannot seriously-WHIRRRR-BEEEEEEEP-be thinking of Diamondizing the Apple of Enlightenment. Master Giygas would-"

"Master Giygas wants nobody to have this! Do you know what's at stake for me here? More than just my career as an amazing mayor, you bucket of bolts! He's already seen his own future long ago, he doesn't have any need for the Apple himself. But we can't let the enemy have it either."

He glares at everyone.

"I have three questions and you will answer them all, no hesitation, or else! First question, what's going on with Greyface? Second question, who are these enemies of yours? And third question, do we and Master Giygas have anything to fear from these people?"

She briefly look surprised but doesn't mind.

"Say, you're up to teach me how to use those abilities of mine more effectively ? In case punching o blasting isn't enough ."

Neuff laughs and just nod to Thor;

"Its alright, I got a good fight outta it !"

She turns to look at the mayor, she doesnt quite know the first answer but she can always use the third one She blinks.

"It's likely that they are a threat for everyone here. I don't mean just us, I mean everyone currently in this place. Likely beyond, as well, the members involved are truly powerful, even moreso than Thor, Kirby or I."

"The answer to your second question: An organization called the Assassins. They can kill anyone in the Arena... permanently. No respawn." Kirby deliberately leaves out the part where the Assassins themselves can die permanently.

Thor lets out a long, deep sigh.

"Firstly, I don't know the entire story behind Greyface myself, to be completely honest. As for your other questions, I believe these two answered them better than I could ever hope to."

"Yeah, but even before that, you were practically a saint compared to a psycho like Katre or a sociopath like Troa. Like, you just needed some long overdue rehab, whereas those two are way beyond the point of any redemption."

Elmadan seems to be listening. Captain Deepsea certainly is, judging by the fact that he has taken on a more shocked pose.

Elmadan smirks as he looks back at the Apple.

"Hm, I see... sounds like they're a huge problem to you. Y'know, maybe we can help."

Captain Deepsea looks at Elmadan.

"... we can?"

Elmadan grins.

"Yeah... they won't have to worry about anything anymore!"

His eyes then flash, and a bright shine envelops the area, threatening to Diamondize everyone present.

This actually does happen to Captain Deepsea, as due to the suddeness, he doesn't teleport away in time, and his body is Diamondized.

Kirby flies out of the way of the flash, then charges back in with FIGHTER, going for a hypersonic flying kick to Elmadan's chest.

Neuff quickly grab a piece of ground and tear it up in front of her to shield her from the light !

"Ha, fuck !"

"Well, not everyone is unreedemable. We will punish them for their crimes... but then, what are we going to do ? Let them rot ? Try to kill them ,"

"I'm beginning to tire of this!"

Thor quickly hurls hurls Mjolnir at Elmadon's head, then moves behind Neuff's shield before the hammer returns to his hand once more.

"Let 'em rot, have presumably Ain execute them... really, either of those two options sound like suitable-enough punishments."

"Oh, fucking-" Dominic hastily puts up a shield around himself to redirect the light, which has the side effect of making him partially invisible for a moment.

"Well, you had your chance." Dominic charges at Elmadan similar to before, only this time he follows up with a second kinetic blast around himself. If he's staggered or worse by the first attack, the second part will be particularly effective at sending him flying.

Elmadan gets hit by Kirby's kick, staggering back a little, then charged into by Dominic, blasted by his kinetic blast (sending him hurling back), and finally getting hit in the face by Mjolnir, causing him to harshly hit the side of the ship and fall onto the ground.

Due to all the blunt force trauma, he lets go of the Apple for a moment, but he quickly scurries to grab it again. He then looks at everyone, and judging by his panicked expression when he notices that the only person he got was his own ally, he realizes he's screwed up.

"N-n-now hold on! L-let's talk this over! I, um, I'll admit that I haven't been the most reasonable person up to this point, b-but can you blame me? Master Giygas is terrifying, you know... d-don't wanna invoke his wrath and all that, but, um..."

He glances down at the Apple, then back at them.

"H-how about this? I'll give you the Apple, no tricks at all, a-and you spare my life. I-I'll just have some broken pieces made and convince Master Giygas that we destroyed the Apple to keep it away from people! A-and if he finds out that you have it, I'll just say that yours is from a different world! B-because that's a thing here, right? Different worlds? So it's totally believable, yes! Yes, it's a great idea, don't you agree? Heh... hehe..."

His expression turns more fearful.

"D-don't kill me, please, I... I only followed orders... I'll give you the Apple, I swear..."

Once it drops, Neuff smash through the diamond, leap forward at speed even greater than Kirby in short burst and try to slam her fist into Elmadan's face, attempting to knock him unconscious in an explosive burst of fury that cause a visible shockwave to appears. She does it in a way that hurl the apple in the air, leaving it to be swiftly caught by Neuff.

"I'm not taking any bullshit from you anymore !" she says, with hostility. "Or your fucking master ! If he's displeased, he can come here to get his ass kicked as well."

She look into the apple, fix a bang and then hand it to Thor with a smile.

"I hate guys who betray their own allies and coward as well. This guy is both."

"Hum-huh. You do know that they get stronger with age ? And Deut won't stand up for killing. The world shapes you, make you into what you are. Deut want to see how the world shaped them, and also how to help them, as inane as it sound."

She pulls her glasses up on the bridge of her nose.

"Of course, they will pay their due punishment first, as she assures. But merely letting the problem go will chomp us in the rear, and simply killing would drag us down to their level."

Kirby looks over at Neuff's move. He is too startled, and appalled, to say anything.

Terlette walks up to Megan, glancing to either side as she approaches. "You... ready to talk about your worst experience? I'm, um... I guess I'm ready to tell you mine."

Before Thor can even respond to Elmadan's offer, Neuff's rather... violent outburst happens, causing him to stare in surprise.

"He was a coward, yes, but... your response seemed rather... excessive, to put it mildly."

"Alright, first off, how does a Sister somehow get strong as they get older, even if they don't keep up with their training? How stupid did the Xir have to be to somehow give them that trait? Second, Deut's naive. Third, I'm pretty certain you and your other Sisters have killed before, so why would Katre and Troa's executions suddenly make you hesitate?"

Dominic returns to a regular standing position. Letting Neuff take the lead, his hand twitches and he conjures a kinetic field behind her, boosting her power while likely making it harder for Elmadan to get up - not that he's got much of a chance.

Elmadan promptly gets the punch in the face he deserves, his sunglasses getting shattered, losing the Apple to Neuff, and landing facefirst into the dirt, half KO'd.

Victory!

Elmadan just groans pitifully, holding his broken sunglasses and looking at them, too hurt to even get up. He then looks at the frozen ship and lets his head drop to the ground with another groan.

"gyaaghhh... Greyface was right, I'm a complete failure..."

Kirby ignores the defeated Elmadan. He whispers to Thor, "So can I meet this Greyface in person or....?"
