I don't think the show could have afforded them

Wow.

Mallus pulled out a supplex, and Beebo did a Pele kick.

That was pretty damned ridiculous.

So we get the answer as to why Nate didn't steel up more during the season.

For this sweet, awesome, preposterous wrestling match.

You know thinking about it this really complicates things with Vixen.

Is Kuasa friends with Team Flash and Arrow now too? Were the two of them even in Detroit to meet Barry and Oliver to start with?

And if they weren't, then that seriously screws up most of the latter half of Arrow season 4 too, since it was kicked off by Damien going to jail because Mari showed up to id and destroy his magic source.

Amaya mentions that, in the altered timeline, Mari and Kuasa share the Spirit Totem.

Which, thinking about it, is an eminently sensible thing to do - Being a super powered vigilante is a very high stress occupation, so having lots of down time and someone else in the same boat must be super helpful.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers is confirmed for next season, but.. not as Amaya. Or at least, not the Amaya we know.

Guesses:

a: 1992 Amaya - who remembers how everything went down, sneaked herself aboard the waverider while everyone was super distracted, and Gideon is currently buzy undoing 50 years of wear and tear.

b: Supernatural entity of some form assumes her appearance. Possibly the season main villain.

c: Alternate universe Amaya, Heck, earth X Amaya fresh of 70 years of fighting nazis, and hopped up to the gills on highly dangerous super serums and spells to stay in fighting shape.

d: CLONES!

Did I miss anything obvious? .

I know they share the totem, but if the village wasn't destroyed and they both grew up there (which seems apparant since they didn't grow apart) Mari shouldn't have gone into foster at all, and wouldn't be partaking in the events that lead her to meet Team's Flash and Arrow.

The Vixen animated show must have massive changes if it even happened at all.

That part is not a problem - Amaya has her memory intact, and thus knows both that it is important that time stays roughly on course, and that you can get away with changing the details.. So she will simply have handed down marching orders for her grand daughters to go to america to kick some righteous booty at the appropriate time.

Alright, this was either the most ridiculous or awesome thing I've ever seen on TV.....or maybe both xD

Didn't think they'd play Mallus as such a joke in the end, with him being a terrifying presence throughout the entire season.

But hey,a busload of people came back for the finale and we have a nice Sequel Hook!

Mallus was such a generic villain, making him anything BUT a joke would have been bad.

Yeah his dragons very obviously were The Heavy each in their own way.

And in the end, Damian Dahrk of all people got an emotional ending. I find it more moving than Rip (who might not really be dead anyway since he poof'd out of existence).

His trajectory was basically reverse-Malcolm. Malcolm started as a great antagonist, evolved as something relatively interesting as Thea's father and then really overstayed his welcome to the point that his death was met with "Finally!". Damian started weakly, became more interesting as part of last year's evil team, and became a truly wonderful character and Dad in this season, to the point that I find it legitimate to be saddened by his departure.

I love how this show reinforces the theme that changing the past to suit oneself only has poor consequences if you're Barry Allen.

Um...but they released a bunch of demons because they changed the past.

So there were consequences, but ones different from what Barry got.

That was the result of Mallus' seal: his seal was weakened by temporal anomalies, but is not the result of any specific anomaly itself. The episode in which he is released even makes it rather clear that his release was inevitable, but they needed it to happen on their terms.

There were, however, no temporal consequences for twisting the past. Everything they changed worked out perfectly, nobody got erased from existence, no different courses of history appear to have harmed anyone.

Maybe there's something about Speed Force induced time travel that's different from how the Legends do it.

Like two computers with different operating systems: they more or less do the same things, but sometimes, the results are slightly different.

Yeah. Eobard was largely fine after completely rewriting the past until he started overdoing it and making villain mistakes.

Barry tries to stop Eobard from rewriting the past in the second season, and the timestream/speed force responds by trying to murder Cisco.

There ARE different rules. Speedsters have time wraiths risking coming after them if they aren't careful, which the Waverider has never encountered once, and Black Flash killed Thawne and only Thawne when he finally caught up.

But Speedsters can't cause timequakes either, and can even break the cardinal rule of not being in the same place twice. Not only does Barry interact with his past self for almost a whole episode in season 2, and with his future self in season 3, but at one point during Nora's murder there's a whopping 3 versions of Barry timetraveling to that point without any problems.

Come to think of it, if the Legends ever need to pull a stunt like what they did in Season 2, they can use Wally since he can theoretically time travel at his own and interact with his past self if what you reminded me about Barry is anything to go on.

So if something really bad ever happens, they just have to make sure Wally lives to run back in time.
