So this is going to be Kyoani's next anime?
Welp. AOTY 2015 is back to become AOTY 2016.
For a minute I thought the banner at the top was supposed to be of the character designs and I thought "What the hell, this is literally just K-On."

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."K-On S3 confirmed!
That'd be one hell of a crossover.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."They're not exactly "new" characters — Mizore's been shown in the background several times during the first season.
Nothing wrong with another K-On
The only resource you need for tropesNew PV, now with English narration
I'm so glad that the American they picked up off the street had fun doing that trailer.
.... what's an English narration doing on a video from a Japanese youtube channel?? :D It just seems so hilarious!
Because English is kewl they wanna reach an international audience?
I've seen official youtube uploads of Japanese commercials from the respective companies' channels subtitled into English. It doesn't make any more sense.

I'm hype as fuck, boys and girls.

Less yuribaiting would be nice but otherwise AOTY 2016 is still looking nice.
First episode is double-length, prepare that hype levels.
So I haven't watched the anime yet, but I did feel like checking out the opening.
At first I thought it was a pretty underwhelming opening for an anime about music...
...but now I can't stop hearing it. Goddamn it.

My thoughts:
Gotta love those powerful moms.
Taki-sensei looks like a fucking nerd next to his college buddy, I bet Hashimoto fucked way more than him.
Insanely awkward situation in the music room had some great voice acting. Especially Ribbons.
Goto's single line was good as hell, as always.
Reina kicked Shuichi's fucking ass in the festival.
ED is fairly shit.

Music in the ED is bleh, animation is great.
I loved all the little touches in the way Reina and Kumiko behaved around each other, so much less stiff than in the first season.
This Band Drama is delicious. Specially since they are in try hard mode. Specially since the one she's apologizing to is Asuka 'I couldn't care less' Sempai.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.I hope the OP is temporary, it rather sucked.
I liked the ED it was fitting for a band anime.
The ED was okay, but it pales in comparison to "Tutti!". The OP's pretty decent IMO.
Apparently, the song Natsuki's group played for the rest of the club is a classic Japanese song from the 70s. o.o
Ehh...I think the teacher needs to be informed about this and also given a run-down of what happened last year so he can help mediate. I'm not saying the students can't handle this on their own, but it's better that a third-party steps in to help sort this mess out, lest this ends up affecting their performance. And we certainly don't need a second falling-out either.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!I really wonder why Kumiko didn't try to get the dirt straight from the horse's mouth when she met flute-girl alone. She spent the entire episode being vaguely irritated by none of her bandmates talking about, so why not hear the perspective of one of the people who actually did quit and seems to regret it? I'd feel like she'd be more willing to talk.

This is kicking off in the right way! Love seeing this show back! Kumiko and Reina make an adorable friendship.
I loved the end credit sequence too.
Magazine scans finally give the schedule for the second season: Autumn 2016◊. So six months, more or less. :>
Official website also updated in response. So yeah, October 2016.
