He is, in the games.

The First manMy head hurts. I’m going to lie down.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
I don't remember that Bonny speaking in 2.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Those are in UCN lines where get this: You play as William Afton getting tormented by one (all?) of his victims in Hell.
FNAF 1-6 Spoilers
I definitely don't have a problem with the fort-building scene itself. I just think its placement in the movie is off though.
It's Alternative Character Interpretation courtesy of Scott Cawthon. He purposely portrayed them to be cute and cuddly in some scenes.
Obscure Reference: "It can sometimes knock out opponents with the shock created by breaching and crashing its big body onto the water.I definitely got idea behind it: that regardless of who they kill—though most probably deserve it, they're still little kids who had a horrible thing happen to them.
There's also the fact that the animatronics themselves are friends to children.
The newest game has Freddy as an actual ally to the scared lost child protagonist. I didn't expect that.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Yeah. I saw the bit in the ads with Freddy and Abby in the car and I figured: "Well they like HER because she's also a kid". So yeah.
I was referring to the animatronics themselves, not just the ghosts. There's a bit of their programming merged with the children.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Well the kids' minds would come through with the actions at times too, wouldn't they?
Uh I kinda get the idea.
Golden Freddy seems to be the only member whose actively malicious and isnt present in that scence. Props to his child actor BTW. Was delightfully creepy
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I find that confusing that there are two Freddys. I only remember one.
Golden Freddy is 'Fredbear', an animatronic from Fredbear's family diner. He was the original Freddy
The First manI only remember one Freddy in the movie though. Bear, Rabbit, Fox, Chicken, Cupcake. I'm still confused.
That busted up one with the blue eye that the blonde kid controlled? That was golden Freddy/Fredbear. He was the one who picked Abby up and rode the Taxi.

The First manYeah the Freddy controlled by the blond kid.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. So there was both a brown one and a golden one? To be honest, they blended together for me. I'm sorry.

Edit:Sent early on accident, editing in context as we speak.
Edit 2:some interesting trivia was revealed about the early version of the script.
Max was originally going to die very differently. She was supposed to get drowned in blue paint
William was also going to die differently. Sense the early version did not have springlocks, they were just gonna put the cupcake in his suit and it would eat him alive.
And Cory was going to get an F-bomb when he sees balloon boy at the end.

The First manI just realized…was there even one F bomb come to think of it? With the PG-13, they could at least get away with it.
The film is as PG as a PG-13 horror film can get.
No f-bombs were uttered.
Yeah. They definitely tried to make it more kid-friendly. I'm sure Jem and the Holograms—haven't seen it—was also trying to be more for kids too, but the tone of the show at least made it more conducive to it though from the sound of it (what that movie severely lacked in recognizable show content to say the least though haha).
Some interesting removed content was revealed recently.
Just to go over a couple. It would be shown to us that William forced Vanessa to watch him kill children. And it would have been confirmed that Garrett was still around as a ghost, he was originally supposed to appear to Mike in the climax.
The First man
Is Mike Schmidt supposed to be the same guy as Michael Afton?
