Two more pages!
First (and coloured), we get our first look at the inside of the fortress, and the people living—trapped—within.
Second (and uncoloured at time of writing), the group moves on, and we get a better look at the castle proper.

Today is the comic's ''fourth'' anniversary!
A few additions to the site have been released for the occasion.
First, they've added two new site-pages:
- "New Here?", which aims to introduce people to the comic
- "Reader Characters", which shows off characters created by donators
has been updated
Second, the chapters now have title pages (some of which I think are rather lovely), which can be viewed from the "Chapter Jump" page.
And third, new pixel-art smilies have been added to the comments section.
While I'm here, the most recent page, in which not everyone is happy about a bit of platforming...

The Fourth is a fantasy narrative webcomic and "a parody of adventure games and the odd and helpless situation of being a villain in such" (I gather that the author means Zelda-style action-adventures, not point-and-click adventures in the vein of King's Quest). The comic's description goes on to add that "it is also a tale of family, friendship, fate, and much more".
Our Villain Protagonist and resident shark-man is Lord Tiberius Skärva the Fourth, Evil Overlord and frequent princess-kidnapper in the fantasy land of Idenau. He's aided by Derk, his somewhat mysterious second-in-command, and Lorelei, a very mysterious young child with healing abilities. Serving Skärva, both in his schemes and more generally in his castle are his many minions, and in particular a Quirky Miniboss Squad composed of Ecta, a grumpy ghost; Slice, a child-like Flish; Floyd, an easy-going Lurkin; and Davis, a bow-tie-wearing demon.
On the other side, repeatedly foiling Skärva's plots and cause of much frustation is the sword-wielding, pot-smashing Hero of the Gods, Blank.
Between the two is the frequently-kidnapped and generally-bored Princess Veronika.
The comic recently started a prequel chapter intended as a better starting point for new readers than the first pages of the comic, after which they can decide whether they like it enough to go back and read the rest of the story.

As to discussion, given the chapters that came before it, we can presume that this plot of Skärva's is going to fail—it's more a matter of how spectacular that failure might be, and—likely more important to the plot—what consequences will follow.
Additionally, I have a long-standing suspicion that somewhere along the lines the relationship between Skärva and Princess Veronika is going to end in romance, based on how they've interacted thus far, and how she's reacted to him. In the page before the most recent
, for example, she certainly seemed happy enough to go with him (and it's rare to see her actually smiling, as I recall). I will admit, however, that this may be less a matter of fondness for Skärva than of her being resigned to yet another kidnapping and being willing to make the best of the experience, or even just enjoying the opportunity to do something interesting for a change.
