Battleworld [Discussion Thread]

Once you finish your signup, you'll look at the map, spot a chunk you like and claim that as the spot for your chunk.

Here is the map!

Hold up a sec.

Choose the spot where you want your chunk to go. Don't be afraid to plan with other players about having your chunk near them!

Oh wow, lotta options. Anyone wanna have Sanctuary from Borderlands as a chunk neighbor?

I choose 13. And not just because I'm playing Roxas.

I'm uploading a version of the map that's easier on the eyes. Get ready to remake your choices.

I also offer up Illyria Castle for someone to claim as a chunk neighbor.

Curses, not fast enough. Ah well. I'll sit back and watch for now, but if/when signups open again, I call dibs on Kirby.

Do give it another looksie, as some chunks got cut down and the seas were expanded.

13 is in the same spot, so I'll stick with it. I mostly want Twilight Town to be landlocked and surrounded, for maximum excitement.

Y'know what, I'm making a decision now, because holy hell 4 am I need sleep.

Would previously Underground chunks have to be forced above ground, or would they stay, well, underground?

They would stay underground, with a bunch of nothing above them. Hovering cities/chunks would be brought down to the ground until they can fix whatever makes them hover.

I guess I'll take spot number 19, since it's the most Big-M Tish looking one (and it's landlocked, which Big MT is).

I hope I didn't drive anyone away with this rough preparation process. Now all we need to do is wait for everyone to pick a spot and for the people with WIP sheets to finish them.

Also, I am glad to announce two more NPC chunks: San Fransokyo and Starling City.

I'm going pick one that borders an ocean, because Gunsmoke is a desert planet full of people that have never seen an ocean before. Everyone will freak the hell out.

I'm not going to pick a specific one yet though, because I haven't decided which of Gunsmoke's cities I'm going to swipe and thus don't have a size approximation.

Spot 10 please.

I demand that at some point Baymax gets captured by the Think Tank for mechanical analysis.

So I suppose whatever area I pick will just be an empty field with a heavily weathered "KEeP Orf yE GRazs" sign?

The cruiser is a spaceship but spot 7 then.

How would the people from Underground be able to make it to above ground, then, if there isn't anything above them?

Oooooh. I thought it was on the sea. You can have it be on space if you want and pick a spot it'll occupy in case it ever needs to land.

You know when I say nothing I don't mean literally nothing, and more just an empty field?
