Last Twitter Direct gave us Plant Boy. So of course we'd get Joker in the next one.

And here's the not advertized video about Update 3.0, showing off:

Overall pretty good. I really hope the Witch and Cat made in the Level Editor is a Banjo-Kazooie reference and hint for their inclusion into Smash.

Sweet I love the level editor in previous games.

Time to play some Smash tomorrow, since I haven't played any in a few months.

May have to pick up a eshop card on the way home though, I've got a couple of dollars sitting in my account, but the Fighter's Pass costs $32.50 dollarydoos.

...Kind of expensive, but I want to play Joker and the Persona stage.

I'm still planning on holding out for a bit, if only because I've already spent way too much money this month.

It's a lot of good stuff that's coming with Joker but I refuse to buy anything Atlus benefits from.

It's a shame because I love the Persona 4 stuff.

Another issue is that if you want to boycott one of the DLC fighters for some reason, you have to boycott them all, as there's no way to buy each fighter/Mii Costume set individually like there was in Smash 4.

Yes there is. Each pack is available individually for 5.99. You don't have to buy the whole kaboodle. I don't know about Mii Costumes though.

Huh, I couldn't find any info on that.

I did buy the full thing.

Most people did, but the packs are available on their own.The November Smash Direct specifically said all that in the DLC section. Piranha Plant isn't part of the pass but you could also buy it individually.

BTW, the costumes are not in the pass, and are purchased individually.

Specifically, they're 75 cents each, and there are six of them, so they cost $4.50 if you buy all of them.

The Mario statue in the picture seems to be hiding an unfamiliar mystery character that some are suspecting is from an unannounced Retro game.

• Nikkei talks about a full model change rather than a Pro.
• Nintendo is "holding back" the new model (not delaying it, because you can't delay something that hasn't been officially announced)
• The reason for the hold back is because the developers Nikkei talked to say it's not clear who leads the concept creation for the device.
• The mini is for the fall

Has anyone else tried opening up their joycons for replacing the analog stick? Been doing a bit of looking around at replacing mine, at least on the left joycon which is starting to drift to the left at random times (not very helpful when trying to go all Silent Snake in Hyrule ).

Other than those stupid 3-wing screws, it mostly looks like it just takes a visit to ebay for parts, a few tools (also from ebay), and some patience.

GameXplain's Cuphead for Switch review. Forgot to post this last week.

The gist of it is that the port is solid, but not perfect. Framerate is consistent outside of one run-n-gun level and the load times are longer. (I've heard that the load times should actually be shorter for some reason involving SSDs but idk.) The longer loads generally aren't an issue outside of King Dice since he's a miniboss gauntlet.

No mention on any slowdown during co-op.

Recently I got an e-mail from Nintendo that mentions my top gaming hours are a 99% percentile compared to the top gaming hours of other Switch users. If you receive these e-mails from Nintendo, how do your top gaming hours compare to other Switch users?

The e-mail mentioned I've played Switch 45 hours in the last 90 days and that my most played game is NES For Switch (mostly I've been using the NES Games feature to play Zelda II and the American version of Super Mario Bros. 2).

I don't think I've ever gotten emails like that...which is suprising, because I absolutely have binged new games.

Hearing NPD preliminary numbers for March are around 344 thousand units sold in the US.
