Actually, I may have to eat my words on it. I'm seeing conflicting information on what Webby's age was supposed to be in the original. She just seemed even more immature than the three boys to me.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.

Concerning Donald, perhaps they just wanted to test the draw power of their more obscure characters, rather than having one of Disney's big stars hold it up. More merchandise and promotion potential was made by seeing if Scrooge could be a star instead of 'Oh look a new Donald cartoon. Well if he's in it, I'm sold.'

I guess they may be more willing to make use of him now since Scrooge, Huey, Duey and Louie are almost as iconic as the main Disney cast.

Bad theory alert! They make Webby older and have the triplets have creepy crushes.

Making Webby older may delve into Quack Pack territory which could result in a major backlash.

Speaking DW, I'm crossing my fingers that this show will result in the Darkwing revival I've been waiting for what seems like forever. Even if all he does is guest star on the show once or twice.

Failing Darkwing, PK aka Duck Avenger might be nice as well. Of course, both of them (and maybe adding Gizmo Duck, Super Daisy and/or Masked Mallard for a Justice Ducks revival) would be even better.

It had the best Daisy ever, but that's like damning with faint praise, and that's all it really had going for it.

She was a reporter IIRC.

Oh wait. I'm still thinking of Webby.

Yeah that was something like Tress MacNeille's first try as Daisy and she was AWESOME.

She appeared fairly often.

Quack Pack wasn't that bad, it was actually pretty decent, it just wasn't great compared to most of the other Disney Afternoon fare.

Wouldn't it have been great if they had a much better Webby?? :D

She was one of the main characters. She was in almost every episode.

And yes, I wouldn't mind if newer productions like this series made Daisy more like she was in that series. She was active and competent, but still with enough human flaws and quirks for it to not feel like Positive Discrimination resulting in a blandly perfect character. Also, she was independent enough to not just be Donald's Satellite Love Interest, which is more than she usually gets to be.

If Daisy appears in this series, I hope they take some cues from her appearance there. Unfortunately, Daisy is easily the least interesting regular character in the comics. I think Barks himself said at some point that he just didn't like her as a character.

..... Daisy IS like that since then! Tress has voiced her ever since, and she has retained that sharp personality in House of Mouse, Mickey's Mouseworks, and the new TV shorts.

Didn't the Mouse Works and House of Mouse make Daisy something of a naive Cloud Cuckoo Lander?

Barks thought she was an oportunistic and a flake.

[up]She was kinda like a softened female version of The Looney Tunes Show Daffy; absent minded and odd, but with a strong jerkass streak to them.

Daisy's been different in pretty much every single series since then: she was an obliviously obnoxious sort of character in Mouseworks, a foolish but well meaning prima donna in House of Mouse, a general crab in the Rudish shorts and more or less a Satellite Character whenever she appeared in something like The Three Musketeers.

Also, kyun? Tress Mac Neille didn't voice Daisy in Quack Pack, Kath Soucie did.

Brazilian Comics Daisy was mostly okay as well.

Isn't Daisy currently voiced by Grey Delisle?
