Tamaki gameplay and costuming video.
I don't know why they decided that's how they wanted to her exhibition but whatever.
She looks too much like a VF character to me
Honestly, it's getting hard for me to tell the female characters apart at a glance. They all need to be "sexy," so they all tend to have the exact same body type with slightly different skin tones, facial features and hair styles.

Yeah, I had absolutely no idea Tamaki was a new character for this exact reason. Honoka is pretty much the only girl with a different Silhouette, to their credit it's not just her chest. Maybe you can count Rachel too but I'm not sure how much taller she actually is and how much is just my imagination.
Bleye knows Sabers. The lack of variety in ages doesn't help either. Christie, Helena, Tina, Lisa and Rachel are the only female characters in the mid/late 20s to 30s age range while every other female character is in their teens or 20s and are still designed to look like teenagers.

4thsnake talks about Ayane's Badass Decay as the games have continued. He also mentions something I missed in DOA 6 in which Raidou seemed to focus only on Hayate instead of Ayane who was his daughter or Kasumi the person who killed him. He's also not a fan of Dimensions' retconning of Genra into being Evil All Along.

So the thing we were talking about couple pages back?
The lack of age variety thing with the female characters isnt surprising.
And yeah I agree about Ayane's Badass Decay. I didn't really like how the creators gave Hayate and Hayabusa more shine than Ayane and Kasumi in a storyline that was crafted for them. In games, 1-3 (probably 4 but I never played that one) Kasumi and Ayane were pretty much portrayed (and marketed) as the two main heroines/protags of the series.
Macron's notesI just need girls to be more diverse. The vast majority of them are nearly the same height.
They downplay Kasumi victory over Raidou by having Hayabusa in 1, Hayabusa straight up whooped Tengu's ass in 2, & they totally screwed over Ayane. 4 had Alpha escaping the final battle, but Kasumi ultimately was the one who got finish her off.
Hayabusa beating Tengu was always canon from the DOA 3 manual IIRC.
Would the game have thrived without Hayabusa playing pivotal role? I know he was needed for promotional purposes but I wonder if the games would been able you sell well and not be shrouded in obscurity without him? Not saying that's a negative to have him but I feel they could have handled it differently by just having him be a consistent guest fighter and not a main character in the story.
Macron's notesHuh, I saw that video shortly before commenting on this thread. The thing I took away the most was Ayami was only 16 in the first four games, and she wasn't even the youngest.
So not only are the female characters constantly shown in small bikinis and given frequent panty shots, not only are the spinoff games basically a vehicle to show them wearing as little as possible while pole-dancing, it turns out for the vast majority of those games many of the girls that "kick high" were also jailbait the whole time.

There's a reason they never listed Kasumi and Ayane's age in the north american manuals.
One Strip! One Strip!IIRC, Ayane and Kasumi stayed 16 and 17 until DOA 5 which aged everyone up by two years. Kokoro and Eliot were also underage (17 & 16) before 5 came around as well
Macron's notesYea it is canon, but what I'm saying is that they left that alone & yet they took Ayane's & Kasumi's accomplishment.
Kasumi managed to still be the one the kill off Alpha but Ayane doesn't have anything now in comparison. Even Jann has his DOA championship.
Although to be completely fair, at least they didn't force Hayate to be the guy who beats Genra & you do have the option of who gets kill of Raidou for good in 6, so at least there's' that.
Hard to consider Kasumi & Ayane were jailbaits when I wasn't all that much older back in the day.

Emery Reigns shares an amazing story about a Tina player who suffers from osteogenesis (a condition that makes bones weaker than they should be).

That helped my mood a lot, thanks
She was always the better waifu anyways.
Still annoyed with Tamaki because I actually like her personality and fighting style but she's completely indistinguishable from the other doagals at a distance.
I've popped in 6 again. I was really proud of a nineteen-hit combo I did with Christie and then saw This so I don't even know anymore. Scared to go online again.

Bleye knows Sabers.Patch 1.22 will add the final DLC for 6 and will arrive in mid-April.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I am guessing we are never going to getting a tag team mode for this game.
I guess they will change their minds if we ever get a DOA 6 Ultimate.
Macron's notesYeah, playing both I gotta say 5 still feels like the better game. It's more feature-complete, with the tag mode being the big sticking point. And I don't know... The gameplay just feels smoother over there. As it stands 6 has difficulty justifying its existence beyond a fresh platform to hock fifty-dollar costume packs.
I do love the stages in both games. They have a lot of personality.
Why do the Story Modes in Japanese fighting games always have one-round matches? They go by lightning fast and you never have time to actually acclimate to whatever character you're playing as.
I still think should have given Nico an over-the-top Finnish accent. Why is Helena the only one with an accent. Well I guess there's Bayman. It's honestly hard to tell a lot of the voices apart.

Bleye knows Sabers.Christie and Elliot have non-American accents too.
I actually wish we had the option on how many rounds we can have in the story mode, otherwise, I usually wish it was one round so it flows better.
So this is the final DLC for the game?
Man, that's just blows
I still thought Diego was the guy that more pandering than Nico was.
There's at least more to Nico than just her generic moe looks. Unfortunately for her & the rest of the DOA cast the writing will never do her story justice & she'll probably come out as a wangsty girl in the end.
I like a Viet character to be in the game, but I'm not in a rush.
