That's what I'm inferring based on how Kasumi was behaving with that business with those letters. That right is my problem with the game's story as it could used more cutscenes to explain what was in those letters. All we have out of the cutscenes was that Kasumi said "Mother", which was to indicate that it was Ayame contacting her but why?

I watched some of DOA 6's story and I have to wonder why the character who acts and sounds like a 4 year old is in the sexy beach spin off

To flip the bird at Sweden. I'm not kidding, her entire creation was because Bergsala didn't want to release Dimensions in Sweden since they feared that the game might have been considered child pornography by Swedish law.

I don’t know if I’ll ever get over the fact that one of the new poster girls for the fighting game franchise that made its name on big bouncing tiddies is a character who could plausibly pass as a twelve year old.

At least everyone is 18 and older as of 5 not that it matters much. Ayane (and Eliot) used to be 16 back then

I mean Marie's personality does describe her as childish, but being childish doesn't exactly make age obvious. Since she works for Helena she probably came along with Helena to Zack's island.

Though the positive of her being in Xtreme Venus Vacation was that it had her interact with Kasumi. I suppose that is the advantage of having a non fighting game that can be an easy excuse to sitck different characters together.

I think Team Ninja is a bunch of things. Graceful is not one of them.

Oh right almost forget to mention that people are theorizing that Marie was an attempt at cloning Maria.

During the third part of the game's story, Hayate finally cornered Rig after Christie activated the latter's "Victor Donovan Jr." personality and after the fight, Rig fled with Hayate paralyzed by beams of energy while trying to pursue. Bayman then appeared, claiming it was related to Project Epsilon and added that Lisa/La Mariposa survived. On the suggestion of the Russian mercenary, Hayate went after Lisa.

Based on how Ni CO brainwashed Ayane after using her and Honoka to resurrect Raidou, would it be that Project Epsilon's real purpose was brainwashing and that the energy paralysis Hayate experienced was a prototype in the form of him losing control of his body and that what happened to Ayane was that Ni CO perfected where Lisa left off?

Lose poses/screens seem to be absent or is that just me?

I have the Steam version (although I read online that they absent in the PS 4 version too) so I dunno if it the same across the board but I lost a few times on purpose in the versus mode and the arcade mode and what showed up was the winner screen for the opposing side. On Last Round, that only happens when you play online so I was confused

The update/patch road map mentioned putting in more intros/outros iirc, so that may be included.

Story wasn't bad, at least not Tekken 7 bad. Nothing great, but I did actually like the interplay between Helena and Kokoro and Helena saying that she has to protect her because she's all the family she has left.

Surprised this wasn't linked yet. DOA 6 now has a Core Fighters version just like DOA 5 did.

Downloaded it myself, but haven't bothered trying it just yet. So I'm not sure what all is included in it.

Taiwanese-Developed Dead Or Alive Mobile Game In Development

Not surprising; a lot of Japanese/Korean properties have gotten mobile spin-offs in the past few years, after all.

Before clicking, I was wondering if it was going to be a fighting game or something akin to the beach games, but it looks like it'll be a team/squad based RPG-like fighter with some Xtreme style minigames or something. Looking at it, it reminds a lot of Senran Kagura's New Link mobile game, at least at first glance (which incidentally included some DOA crossovers in an event sometime last year I think).

Uh, okay I guess. This is making me wonder about DOA 5's plot more and more...

I guess that paradise game wasn't enough for them on the Gacha front.

I wonder why they decided to go the JRPG route? Just because everyone else is? Big question for me is where they're gonna bring in characters from. Wouldn't mind, say, some other Tecmo Koei characters showing up.
