There's also that port strike off the West Coast that we have to consider. I'm no expert, but when ships aren't ferrying products across the Pacific, that basically constrains supply to the West Coast, I'd assume. And given that most Amiibo are most likely being produced in China somewhere, that basically means they'd all have to cross the Pacific to get to North America. That's a problem.

It may be that there's still unshipped Amiibo on a boat off-shore. It may be that Nintendo's underproducing Amiibo so as not to stress what's left of their supply line right now. Heck, it's probably both. But you simply can't sell something if you can't get it to your audience. And as long as the port workers are striking, it's going to be a lot tougher to ship Amiibo across the Pacific.

Really? Because last time I checked, Meta Knight was a major Kirby character.

I still don't know why most of Nintendo's protagonists don't have personality to them. IIRC, Fox, Shulk, Pit, and the Fire Emblem protagonists do have personality (note, I mean protagonist as in "character you play as", as many NP Cs in Nintendo games have somewhat of a personality)

As mentioned, Kirby is the only real star in the Kirby series, no matter how big any of the other characters are within the franchise or fandom. Fan Myopia is a wonderful thing, eh?

Speaking of Kirby, I now have a Kirby Amiibo...

My mom didn't have school today, and was out at Best Buy. I didn't ask her to get me one, it just a thing her and a former decided on.

Toys R Us is gonna legit sell this guy's custom amiibo's on their website.

Also the amiibo shortage in NA might be due to a port strike on the west coast. Software isn't effected cause it's light and can be flown in, claims Iwata.

So, heads up, the Walmarts and Gamestops in my area are marking down Peach and Donkey Kong amiibos to $9.99 instead of $12.99. The guy at Gamestop thinks they're trying to make room for the wave of non-Smash amiibos that'll be coming soon (the Captain Toad set?).

Don't know if this is old news or not, but if you don't have either of them yet you might want to grab them.

I'm probably gonna do most of my Amiibo shopping online from Amazon.

Anyone wonder why they didn't make figures for Brawl back in 2008?

Huh, I actually managed to find a Toon Link amiibo today. Not sure how rare those are supposed to be, but Target did only have two of them in stock. I named mine, naturally, HeroOfWind.

I've heard that my Best Buy didn't have regular Link in stock.

When preordering Code Name Steam at Game Stop last week I saw a single, solitary Toon Link hanging on the wall. I didn't hesitate to grab it.

The Toon Link amiibo is so well done! I love how it looks and I'm glad I grabbed it because I can't find any others at any of the stores around here. Toon Link was actually one of the amiibo I really really wanted so I'm glad I was able to grab it.

Gonna try and preorder either Robin or Lucina once the Wave 4 preorders open up so I can use one of them in STEAM.

Yeah, I like my Toon Link figure also. Normally I main regular Link, but training the amiibo has increased my appreciation for playing as Toon Link as well.

Toon Link isn't that common, yes? At least I haven't seen as many of him around as I have Zelda or Bowser.

I resisted the urge to grab Toon Link simply because I didn't particularly want him and I don't want to fall into the trap of collecting characters I don't particularly want.

Also, anyone know which Amiibo figure is easiest to remove from their base? I'm gonna take my first foray into custom making, and I'd like a base for my custom figure. I won't say what custom figure I'm making on the off chance it turns out good enough to share, but I will say it's Kirby related.

Well, I wanted to clear out my Gamestop gift card, and there weren't any games I wanted, so I spent most of it getting Luigi, Peach, and Kirby. Had to resist the urge to Expand Dong since I don't even like Donkey Kong. I'm getting way too many of these things, and I don't really have the room to store them. Thankfully I the Super Mario ones look boring, so I feel no need to get any of them. Except Toad of course. And another Rosalina. *cries*

Also, I can confirm Gamestop has slashed Peach and DK's prices to $9.99. Presumably to get ready for the Super Mario amiibos.

I should grab a Smash series Mario amiibo while I can before they phase them out for shelf space. Not a fan of the Super Mario series ones either.

I like Luigi's Super Mario amiibo a lot more than his Smash one at least.

Indeed. I'm planning on picking up that version of Luigi. And I have my Smash-Peach already so I got my ornatly designed Peach.

...but really, all I want is my true main for Smash, Lucina.

I really should get at least one Mario series amiibo, just because, y'know, Nintendo. I like Luigi and all, but yeah, upon closer examination of his Smash Bros branded figure, that plastic support is rather unfortunately placed. However, I do like the Smash Bros Mario figure better than the Mario Party one.

If you just want one I recommend Toad. He's the only one I'm getting because I already have the Smash versions of the others.

I already preordered Toad, since I heard supplies were more limited or people preordered more of him.
