Alright. Got the Intelligent Liquid Metal. Trying to do Slovity's revenge.

First part was easy. Then we had to go to Jair fucking fortress.

But still, I just gotta sneak past the enemies there and kill...

Oh wait! Fucking floating robot thing saw me. It's level 60. Total party wipe.

Well, now I'm in the building where it is so I just gotta reach the enemy....

Oh wait. It can still see me. Total party wipe.

Oh, and since I saved a few times after dying, that means I'm probably missed the three minute time limit for it (as I didn't notice that was an actual requirement for the quest until after I'd saved a few times). So fuck you Xenoblade Chronicles X. Fuck you to infinity and beyond.

Jair Fortress is indeed a bitch. Just use your G-Busters to get in there, kill the target, and then get out ASAP. A full fleet should do the trick.

Everyone has G-busters

Doesn't stop those stupid thingys from shooting me before I can be close to them.

I also have two Level 50 Skells as well.

Maybe I need to get closer to them and take them out first. Or maybe it's time to finally buy Level 50 Skell number 3. I don't know.

Is there any issue with the 3 minute time limit? I'm pretty sure I've missed it since I save a few times the first times I died.

I don't know; I've always been able to take down my target in less than 30 seconds after initiating the fight.

Perhaps you could use Visual and Audible cloaking augments, those make a difference. You'd need to get separate ones for your ground and skell gear if you want to avoid unnecessary fights.

Edit: By the way, both Telethia Plume and Yggdralith Zero are available at this time of writing. You should fight them to get the reward tickets.

Good idea on all counts. I should have the stuff for the Skell gear I need.

Not quite ready for Yggy, but I'll see about taking on Telethia Plume if I don't miss it.

Just remember, you can quit the mission at any time, preferably when you've destroyed every appendage. If you do get an invite to Yggdralith Zero from somebody else, you can take it with a level 50 Skell, maybe, assuming the host quits the mission like I do. It may be prudent to get topple immunity just to be safe.

Thanks. Though there are still other things I want to do before I'll tackle either of them. If I finish before they are both killed off, I'll see about trying. If not, I'll wait for next time.

Right. So I tried geting Visual and Aural cloaking. It seemed to work, right up until I tried to fight that lady, then the whatever weapons started blasting me again. It's really not fair that you can Aggro outside enemies when you are in a building. Especially enemies that powerful.

So I tried taking those things out. Managed to get one, but then some others showed up and wrecked me, cause I ended aggro-ing other enemies, including another of those dudes that keep killing me.

So I gave up on that, did another quest, managed to do H.B's final affinity mission, and now I'm trying to do Irina's affinity mission Fathers and Sons...

Only I can't find this Stonelattice(sp) Cave or whatever. It's in one of the few places in Primordial where I haven't gotten the mining spot (due to being level 5), and I can't find it by flying. I decided to try using the follow ball....

AND THE FUCKING THING LEADS ME AWAY FROM WHERE THE ARROW IS POINTING! I MEAN I TRIED FOLLOWING IT FOR A LONG TIME THINKING MAYBE THERE WAS A DEEPER CAVERN ENTRANCE SOMEWHERE, AND I JUST DID NOT FIND IT! WHAT THE HELL!!!?

I'm gonna be really annoyed if it turns out to be like, in that in-between area between Primordial and Noctilum or something, which I might have thought of if I wasn't so tired from constantly dying in Slovity's revenge, and doing other stuff first.

Still, anybody know where I'm supposed to go?

That cave is painfully well hidden, it's in the northern side of the cliff, right between Primordia and Noctilum.

It's not easy to find.

Yeesh! How is that even fair? Someone needs their ass kicks for that cave. I'll tell you this much:

Once I do this quest, I'll see about working with Alexa, Phog and Fyre (the former to get her up to level 50, and do her affinity mission, and the latter two for their own affinity mission).

I've got more people who can pilot Level 50 Skells, and I got a surplus of cash, so I may just get a third Level 50 Skell soon too.

Thanks for the tip.

It's an undiscovered location for a reason. Anyhow, if you haven't found it, follow the smoke.

Alexa's and Phog & Frye's missions should be more straightforward.

It occurs to me a distressing number of caves on Mira are volcanic.

There's an entire lava continent. Seriously, Mira is EXCEPTIONALLY volcanically active.

I headcanon it as there being a hotspot that's currently under Cauldros that has in the past moved through Sylvalum and maybe northern Oblivia too.

Mira's ecology is all kinds of fucked up. You've got a temperate region that's mostly crags to the north and plains to the south, a jungle more lush than the Amazon ever was just west of it, and a desert with significant elctromagnetic activity in it just to the east. Head north and you get to the incredibly strange stuff- Aside from Cauldros being the concept of "Malice" given form as a region, it's just north of a subarctic salt marsh covered in enormous fungus structures.

I sure said that!

I found stone lattice cavern early on by running/climbing up the northwestern side of Primordia and peering over the side facing the water by the northeast most FN site. Pretty easy to fly to it once you see the smoke.

Yeah. I found it.

Was worried about getting the last of the minerals, since there was a Level 60 Tyrant right next to it...

Until I got out of my Skell and notices it's only a threat when I'm in my Skell.evil grin

So I finished it. Working on Alexa to do her Affinity Mission (and also get her to Level 50 as well) and then I'll work on Fyre and Phog.

Edit: Where do I find Mia in Cauldros? I want to get her and do her stuff as well before I beat the game.

You are able to get her before you beat the game right?

Yes. You'll have to have finished Definian Downfall and surveyed 65% of Cauldros to get her. She's in the Ganglion Antropolis, in one of the structures (go to where you would fight the Rexoskell and then make a left, she's in the building in the southern path).

There's a lot of the old Ganglion foes around in the Antropolis, not the least being now-generic Definians. Either prepare for an extended firefight or maximum stealth- If one thing spots you it's likely everything else in the area will, too.

I sure said that!

[up][up]

I think I've discovered well over 65% of Cauldros (I'm only missing maybe one spot for Mining spots), so I guess that just leaves Definian Downfall, which I've yet to do.

I'll get back to you on that one (I've noticed it's been brought up quite a bit, and it's apparently a terrifying mission) when I'm ready to do it.

Right now I'll focus on the other stuff I want to do. Might switch back to the Rifle as well and build up some battle points to upgrade some of the abilities for that (I recall it being mentioned I'd need the ....forgot the name, but I know what rifle it is, as well as take down shot).

But like I said, I'll ask about it when I'm properly ready to do it, so don't worry about giving any advice right now.

Made some pretty nice progress myself. Gotten L, Gwin and Murderess to around 42 (Rook is 47 at this point) from doing mission. Currently have Elma and Lin swapped in for gettign those affinity missions done that require them both.

Just got Celica, which I'm happy about. Once Rook and maybe Elma and Lin break 50 I'll grab some better Skells and make an attempt at chapter 12.

Are there any lvl 50 Skells in particular I should want? I'll also try and pick up a few of the Intergalactic weapons like Pulse suggested.

Get yourself an Amdusias 50. Light Skells should be avoided, too- They cost the least but they store less fuel and take more damage. The difference isn't so notable in Level 30 models, but each subsequent rank for Skells is essentially an order of magnitude greater and as such you're getting to where the differences are much bigger in absolute numbers.

I sure said that!

The Lailah's also pretty good. My level 50 one served me pretty well until the Xerns smashed it to pieces with their huge aggro zones
