I think the assumption is that if you turn a Titan into meat paste, you'll probably have destroyed the important part in the nape.

Or if you vaporize their entire upper body with a power blast.

I do like the idea that it's civilians turning into Titans so the heroes can't just do that, though.

I give you vaporizing part, but on crushing to meat paste, I'm not sure that titans are that vulnerable to blunt damage <_< But not sure about that, since Ao T is mostly swords and muskets and titan munching, its kinda hard to tell how tough their skin actually is

Just how tiny are those things brains that crushing their necks entirely wouldn't just crush the brain, too?

If the brain is harder than the material around it, or in some kind of armored skull, I guess an impact could push it away.

^^Well, umm, i guess thats a good point. I just figured out that since their brains are human brains(aka normal human sized ones) and thats pretty much all they need regenarate, even though brains are squishy, if such a small part doesn't get damage they would still come back

This should clear some things up.

For a quick reference, the original author is doing doing the plotting, so it'll probably retain a similar tone to Attack on Titan, and it WILL have an English release. Also we have some panels.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great

Again, you all assume the entire Marvel Universe will side against the titans. There likely will be some people who are apathetic to titans, just plain not available or super villains willing to exploit them, and Marvel has plenty of super villains who have done some terrible things to the setting with far less to work with than titans. Give them to the Carrion, Phallanx, Apocalypse or The High Evolutionary. Let them invade alongside the Brood or the Technarch, Terminus...

...they don't even need to be a particular threat to the setting to tell an interesting story. Have them show up on half world instead of Earth, monster island instead of New York, make them part of Arcade's Murder World, set them loose due some Ghost Rider vs Black Heart, frame the story from a civilian perspective, ect. But if they must be a threat to super heroes, it isn't too hard to make them into one, superheroes already have several enemies that would welcome the chance to use titans.

[up]Nah, we just assume that — if "reality" were to ensue — enough of the MU will go against the Titans for it not to be much of a fight. Thor's not going to look at a bunch of giants stomping around Earth and eating people and go "Eh, not my problem."

But of course this crossover has to be "entertaining," so I fully expect the deck to be stacked in the Titans' favor (especially if the series author is plotting it) and for the heroes to forget their powers or their connections in favor of getting chomped.

Eh. Personally, I kind of feel that if Marvel had to crossover with a Manga/Anime series, it should have been Death Note.

[up][up]

Everyone without a secret identity drops like flies, while the remaining must band together to figure out what's going on!

Imagine if it happened during Civil War.

[Peter Parker is atop an endless row of large white clouds, while a bright light shines upon all creation. He is sitting slumped on such a cloud while Uncle Ben stands right behind, looking rather stern.]

Ben: Peter...

Peter: Don't talk to me, okay?

Ben:'Great power and great responsibility'. I told you this every single day of every single year of your single life. And what do you do with that oh so great lesson?

Peter: Look, I get it, alright? I—

Ben: You go and throw it to the freaking four winds! Seriously, revealing your SID on television?! I always thought it would rot your brains out; I didn't think it would blow your brains out—

Peter: Look, it seemed like a good idea at the time—

Ben: No time like the present, except, oh yeah, you're not very present back down there, are ya'?

Peter:How I was supposed to know some lucky sonuvagun, in another country I might add, got hold of some book of death from a freaking Death God?!

Ben: Yeah, well, funny you should mention that, because the only way you found about that is after the fact, so—

[Peter promptly attempts to web Ben's mouth shut, but realizes he is out of web fluid.]

Peter: How does that even work?! I'M DEAD!

Ben: Yes. Yes you are. And so am I, 'case you couldn't tell. You know, maybe if you did what I told you in the first place—

Peter: Oh, here we go again! 'Great power and responsibility', yada-yada-yada!

Ben: —then maybe neither of us would even be here talkin' about it! Instead, I get a bullet up my ass, and as for you, the itsy bitsy spider just happened to fall mid-swing with an empty web canister!

Peter: Screw this, I'm going to find Gwen.

Ben: And while you're at it, would you kindly inform her just whose fault it really was for her emergency trip? Honestly, kids these days...

Its not so much that Thor is going to look at a bunch of giants stomping across Earth and say "Not my problem." but that he may not notice in the first place. The titans are not part of his regular watch, its the same reason Thor is not around for every Brood invasion or incident involving Ego the living Planet and he shouldn't be expected to either, he already has sever other worlds to keep an eye on in addition to Asgard.

The fact that Titans may not be a global threat to the Marvel Earth anyway further decreases Thor's chances of involvement. If they are mostly contained to, say, New York, why would he really notice? Remember when New York was overrun by Dinosaurs? No Thor then either. And he wasn't really needed in the end.

But let's say Thor does show up to save mankind from the titans. Loki can make a dragon out of a mere cloud, and the absorbing man out of a guy and a chain. Whose to say Loki can't just make the Titan's harder for Thor to deal with? That'd be perfectly in his character.

[up]It was Captain America, actually. And he apparently figured out by looking, somehow.

Incidentally, I had trouble figuring out the reading order. It is right to left. Makes sense, considering the writer, but the art style and characters tricked me.

Even for a master tactician, that's weirdly lucky. At least it looks like they're going for the zerg rush mode.

Cap may have seen someone else's blow land, and that panel is just him passing it along to Hawkeye. Wonder how long into the Zerg Rush that panel is.

[up][up][up] Yeah, that threw me off too. The art, paneling, and dialogue/language all seem to be like a standard American comic, so I figured I'd read it as such. This is gonna be interesting when it hits shelves.

Also, haven't said my piece here, but wow, this really wasn't something I'd ever expect to be an official thing. Definitely psyched to see how the hell it manages to work out. Hopefully it gets sold online and I can grab a copy. grin

In the shelves it will be easier to tell. Reading pages out of order is much more obvious than panels, and that is if you don't notice the cover is in the "back".

Also, in US mangas usually have a page explaining how to read in the back, right? So newbies can learn once they first open the book.

It's still confusing before you really get the hang of it, being used to reading one direction and then trying to read the other way around.
