I still maintain that, like, there aren't enough Heroes who are jerks in their jobs. Like Endeavor was an asshole, but I mean more like normal, relevant non-eugenicist heroes who uncritically say cruel stuff like "villains are born, they can't be saved and deserve to die tbh" to make some of the redemptive stuff our main heroes do resonate more.

Ok, to be devil's advocate on rezzupan's conversation, I can see why people would be disillusioned with the direction that the Deku solo arc went.
One of the big plot points of MHA is that villains are not all just born "evil", but rather that some are just the product of societal failure. Tomura is proof of that, Toga is too as well, and so were Twice, Spinner, Magne and Dabi to a degree. Hell, Nagant herself is also another proof of the systemic failings of hero society.
The problem here is that Arc 2 ended with these systemic issues coming to a head, with hero society breaking apart due its contradictions and with the status quo broken beyond repair. Not to mention that Stain pannel of him taking up his sword again can be a symbol of how he was "right" at the end.
So with that in mind, people can enter into Arc 3 with a set of expectations, that Izuku is forced to confront these systemic issues and come up with some answer to them, especially now that he doesn't have his friends to pull him out of his thoughts. It doesn't help that the last pannel is a Batman shoutout, which could imply that he was going to follow the Dark Knight's story beats for a while.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.

Even so, it misses the point of who Deku is supposed to be. Retributive justice is a very destructive mindset that doesn't hold a place in MHA at all.
