You need double curly brackets around single-word wikiwords. Halo gives Halo

I know, but that's not what I need to do. I need to be able to rename it, like with "MLP". I need to refer to a specific character, not just the franchise as a whole.

Character.
Remember though, that in trope examples the work name needs to be spelled out, not potholed.

Yeah I know; thank you btw, that got it to work.

You'd think with a piped link it wouldn't need the curly brackets...

No, because the piped link needs still a working link inside of it.

I've tried several other Wiki Words and they have all worked just fine. It's just this one. I have no idea why. It's not that it's red-linked, it just plain isn't showing up in preview. Instead of a link, I see the exact text I entered.
E.g., in preview rather than seeing "Not working" in blue-text, I see "Not working". It's driving me insane. "Videogame/Halo" doesn't work either. I tried saving it in the sandbox with the same results. What gives?
