At this moment, if Pius wasn't thinking of other things or drinking his chocolate milk, he was glaring at Alfred. Everything about him short of his actual scent (he figured someone like Alfred would try to keep up appearances) stank, and the thought that Alexia might be attracted to this savage, and this thought after it had been revealed that Alexia had been attracted to the Nobel herself not all that long ago, irked him to no end.
What does she see in him? He thought. Someone to save? Redeem? I know about people like him: human he may be, but he is not worth trusting.
The Nobel perked up slightly when the princess came downstairs, if just for the fact that the wait was over and now he had some good company to try to balance out the bad company.
"You're nervous." He observed his...friend? Partner?
Hm, Alice's revelation is getting to me more than I thought it would. He realized, ignoring the flash of purple in his vision. Dies Irae, his steadfast companion, sat by his feet.

Mmmmmm! Lori thought as she ate her waffle, This is almost as good as eating muffins!
This morning, the ship...The Goldeen? She couldn't remember...was taking off today, and she needed to have a healthy breakfast for today. Along with the waffle drenched in maple syrup, there was also egg whites, a small bowl of strawberries, and a glass of milk. All part of a complete breakfast!, as her mom would say. Or was it a saleswoman on TV?

"We were seven," Rufus continued, heedless, "I believe we were friends then. I can't remember though... one of us betrayed? the other. It all seemed quite serious to a pair of second graders.
"Words were exchanged. I think he punched me first but... at some point, he was on the ground, beneath me."
He looked directly at Pius, eyes wide, "It felt amazing to feel him break beneath me."
He looked downwards, "I kept hitting him. Someone tried to pull me off, an adult. I hit them too. I started... slamming his head. Three adults pulled me off.
"His name is Saffron Aedifex. Ten years ago I put him into a coma he has never woke up from. Ten years ago I found out I was a monster.
"Like the ancient Snikersnax of old. A monster in mens' skin."

"Meehhhhnnnn..." Ayers whined, stressed to all hell. He only had an undershirt and a pair of beige slacks on right now as he paced across the kitchen, holding a nice short-sleeve button-down shirt in each hand—the extent of Ayers's business casualwear. Hrunting and Naegling gleamed, the result of hours of fastidious shining. "Uhhhh, guys?" He flicked his eyes around the room, panic rising. He didn't have a Team to give him advice down here. Instead, he thrust the shirts in front of the nearest girl—they knew all about that color stuff right? Nearest girl happened to be Alexia! Next nearest girl, then!
"Hey, yer, uh..." He leaned to the side, eyeing the girl in front of him around the two shirts he held up. "Yer Lori. Part'f, uh, Team... Fuckit, don't matter. Hwutchall think'f this? I'm looking to impress my beau, but I dunno hwut to wear! Cudja help a pardner out?" One shirt was a creamy white with black buttons, and the other a light blue with white buttons.

It was a given that Pius would be disgusted with what Rufus had done, and at such a young age as well. It felt as if the Nobel had to trust the Snikersnax a little less for this incident, and that he would not be sorry about doing so without a word. But he saw that the incident had shaped the young man in front of him in a very powerful way, and this tragedy had even afflicted him at around the same time the gray-eyed orphan suffered that car crash a decade ago. In the presence of someone so similar, the scar on Pius' side ached with a burning sensation.
"That is...really terrible. I'm so sorry that that happened to you, Rufus." Pius had to admit that fact, but not without divulging his sympathy. "Has nothing really been able to wake him up?"

"Not like that would make much of a difference to me," Lucas muttered to himself as he got out of the airjet. There was only so much his semblance could show him — as far as he could tell with it, the glass was another part of the wall.

Alexia smiled at Yun as she passed him. "Well, um, yes, Sir Yun. We...er, Pius, Alfred and myself...We'll be going to the Golden today."
She looked at Pius and Alfred. They haven't killed each other yet. Good.
She sighed in relief. "I'm sorry, Pius. It's just that I feel like I just mixed two volatile chemicals. Please don't make trouble."
She glanced at Alfred. .....Perhaps her skirt was too short? Was he staring? She blushed. Oh, Dust.
The Intelligence Agency
The Vale Royal Intelligence Agency...was underground. It was a massive complex comprised of nine levels, each going deeper and deeper into the earth, with the skyport being the only thing above ground.
Right in the entrance was a rather severe-looking woman, her silver hair tied into a bun, and her left eye covered by an eyepatch. She was wearing a suit and tie, and they could see the pistol holster at her side.
She nodded at them. "Lilia Argent. I was the one who called you."

"Come in." the teacher replied from inside the door. It seemed she always kep the door unlocked.

Glen, who had been trying to figure out just how his scroll worked, couldn't help but overhear Ayers' plea for help. Despite finding Ayers' relationship with a man to be rather strange, Glen sauntered over and said "I dinnae ken much about Southron fashions, but I'd go with that blue shirt o' yours." After a small pause Glen added "While you're here I dinnae suppose I could get a wee bit o' help from one o' you? I cannae figure out how I can make contact with my Clan's radio with this thrice damned bit o' technology."

"I won't." Pius replied. "I can't say the same for him." He nodded his head at Alfred, not even wanting to look at him. The Nobel saw the blush on the princess' face and inferred as to who she had glanced at.
She can't be serious. The Nobel tried to reassure himself. She can't be.

Having heard Ayers' problem and Glen's comment, He grabbed his scroll and mug, and walked over to the little group.
"I gotta agree with Glen. The cream shirt looks a bit too formal for a date" Yun commented. "I didn't know you were in a relationship, Ayers. Congrats."
Yesterday Hallway
"I-It is not Ayers that is bothering me, I-It is myself... I should not have spoken up.... since he is my superior, and in addition, every one now knows...." she replies with pined ears a bit hung up on the last bit.
Imuka remained quite for now, letting the others do the talking until she is needed.
Flash Back: Dorm
"Nothing so far," Rufus shook his head, still looking at the floor. Was he too ashamed to look at Pius or was he lost in memories long ago?

Alexia breathed deeply to calm himself. She didn't fail to notice that look on Pius's face. She frowned slightly, but didn't say anything. Well, it wasn't her fault things like this happened!
"I'm sure alfred won't cause anything. I trust you'll behave yourself, knight." The last sentence was directed at Alfred.
"Now, I think we should go. The ship opens in fifteen minutes! We have to get there before the crowd does!"
Her name is Argent. Lilia Argent.
The agent nodded. "Yes. We're finally going to get Miss Rebecca West to talk. Everyone follow me. Don't wander off. Don't touch anything. Do not talk to the prisoners."
Without so much as a glance, she walked right into the facility.

Glynda sighed as she saw that it was that Reisetoter boy who went in. Perhaps she'd borrow some coffee from Bartholomew after this.
"That's classified information, and not something you need to know. Anything else?"

"That's...really bad." Pius said, hoping that Rufus didn't take that comment personally. Whether or not the Snikersnax was involved, what happened to the other boy was terrible. "Did your family try anything to make amends for what happened?" He avoided saying "what you did," because he didn't want his friend to feel worse for something he couldn't fix.

"Alright, then." Pius replied, putting down his finished glass of milk and picking up Dies Irae in its place. "Let's move already."

"Thanks y'all!" Ayers declared, holding the shirts up. "Like, it's just bin so great to git help from y'all. All y'all hunters, actually! Like, I wuz talking to Imuka, right..." He lowered the shirts, let everyone know how serious this was. "I didn't know till she told me how offensive I wuz being! She's carrying my gat dang eckitett on'r back!"
Dining Room
Lei Yun was sitting at a table drinking a cup of coffee, wondering what he should do today. Hearing footsteps, he looked up from his scroll, and nodded politely at Alexia.
"Morning Alexia. Going out for the day?" He greeted, taking note of her attire.
