Slight interest, but I'd only bother to sign up after I see that it has started and is fairly active, since I've already joined a couple others.
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Okay. The campaign officially starts Thursday night. The title shall be "Shadow of the Moon".
Okay, here's my idea for a species: Okay, a Changeling; a fae baby that is sent to live with another speicies, it starts to mature as it normally, however, as time goes on, they slowly start to resemble their adoptive species, losing weaknesses of the fae, however, they are still noticable, many of them have quirks, such as not liking shoes, have some above average skill at flattery or are more beautiful than their species usually is.
I kinda think Changelings would be predjudiced against, my guess is some major religions consider them unholy.
Good to be backIf the downside to your species can be having unnaturally many upsides something may be wrong.
Since the elves/gnomes/fairies are pretty much just supernaturally-gifted humanoids and largely live alongside humanity more or less, having a changeling be from the fae would be unlikely. However, if the changeling would be from a goblin race (who are almost universally held in contempt), then it could work. It could also work for the Fishmen.
The beings most similar to the traditional "fae" archetype would be the Celestials: supernatural beings who live in other realms and mostly exist to be mysterious or screw around with people. However, since Celestials pretty much resemble human beings (except for an abnormal occurrence of white hair as a default hair color), it would be pretty hard for the average Joe to distinguish a Celestial from a regular humanoid.
I'll have to give it some more thought.
I thought of a possible solution: you could be the child of something on "The Other Side". Could that work?
Now that we are underway, I think we need to start planning, if this is to actually go anywhere. Thoughts?
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!I'm pretty much making this a "player-centric" RPG. From what I've seen, players tend to get annoyed if the GM tries to be over-controlling, so I'm open to whatever thoughts you guys have. I'm planning on three things to happen to get the plot started, any of which can happen depending on how the players react to the opening events.
Are there dragons in this setting?
