Unambiguously happy ending it seems.

Eh. Only problem I have with this boring ending that's forced is he should have hinted at the artificial animal meat more if it was that simple to make. Oh and Tsukiyama as the new CCG Chairman. Biggest fucking joke right there. Rest of it was predictable but I accepted it would happen so it doesn't have an impact..

I caved and looked at spoilers.

It's nice seeing /a/ put together all the deopped major and minor plot points. Even the irrelevant minor ones from TG.

Also someone didn't die during the fight with Furuta in the Chairmans office. Hint: he was fighting alongside Urie. Hides face is also nearly fixed.

Marude is the head of the TCS (formerly CCG) not Tsukishima. Shuu's the representative of the united front of ghouls.

Good ending though. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

x2 Thank God. Marude was the best choice. Looks like they mistook what Tsukiyama was due to being the representative for Ghouls.

Rio got the short end of the stick though compared to the other Clowns.

And They finally answered that Ghouls were indeed a different species, ones borne from a Dragon that evolved to become like Humans their prey.

And now we begin the wait for the final volume to be released, to see whatever the extra content is going to be.

A lot of happy endings, with Babies Ever After and Ship Tease galore.

• The Dragon creatures continue to exist as a minor threat, and are evolving slowly. Research into them hints at the origins of ghouls, and material from the creatures has been used for medical research.
• New organizations: Tokyo Security Group and the ghoul group United Front, which work together for peace.
• Marude is the new boss, Tsukiyama and Banjou represent ghouls.
• Mougan became a priest, Hirako retired to private sector work, most everyone else is working in the TSG.
• Banjou marries Jiro, his female subordinate. Naki and Miza explosively breed a bunch of kids. Hooguro marries a human girl.
• Uta and Itori continue to torment Yomo. Nico leaves to the south in search of love~
• Shikorae mutates further in response to Dragon's toxins, becoming a monster.
• Kuro walks the earth, and Takizawa lives in the shadows fighting rogue ghouls.
• Kuramoto, Mutsuki, Hogi, and Aura leave to other Japanese branches.
• Urie and Yusa work together, leading the next generation of Qs including survivors of the Garden. Hsaio cooperates towards research to help the half-humans' health problems. Saiko is best MAMA to everyone in the household.
• Shinohara wakes up many years later. Juuzou becomes a leader of the TSG, supported by his friends and teacher.
• Hinami is a school teacher for ghoul children.
• Kimi and Nishiki marry, continue researching food alternatives for ghouls.
• Yomo best uncle confirmed.
• Touka and Kaneki have an adorable little girl, best child.
• Ui and Kiyoko Aura become teachers at the new tsg academy, training Peacekeepers.
• Hide's backstory: the son of an Investigator, killed in action. He spent time in the ccg's care, until being adopted by his father(s).
• Kaneki and Hide hang out.
• Final shot is Kaneki, pregnant Touka, and little daughter looking out over a field with a clear sky. (similar to the shots in Kaneki's mindscape, the ending of Tokyo Ghoul, and the blue sky of re's beginning).

Kaneki is now pushing 30 and he still looks like a teenager.

Suprisingly Amon and Akira were entirely absent from the Epilogue here. I'm guessing they'll be included in whatever extra the final volume will have.

The only thing that really annoys me? No resolution to Eto and her father at all.

Tokage getting randomly shanked by a 'student' is all levels of hysterical.

Miza looking like she's dead inside while Naki has that shit eating grin is great.

Also wouldn't call the Dragon Orphans evolving slowly at all. Considering it took humans several hundred thousand years to reach this point them already reaching the mentality of children and having leaders is fast progress for beings that young.

x2 Hide too. Meanwhile Toukens spawn looks girl Sasako.

We don't get a narration for them, but we see Amon and Akira together on the same page as Takizawa and Kuro.

I'm waiting until Volume 16 is released, before worrying about not hearing about X or Y character. Based on the average number of omakes and artwork, we should have around 10 - 19 extra pages of content. Which could mean a short story, further info, or something else.

But there's more content coming later this month.

Ken's also like, 90% kagune and a weird mutant ghoul. He'll probably look the way he looks now for the rest of his life.

Makes it hard to believe Saikos mom died from disease with what Ghoul Medicine can do.

Also I'd find it hilarious if Eto just showed up for Two Chapters to say "I lived this long to laugh at you" and then kicked the bucket. Because she spends her final seconds memeing Furuta style. Even if its on the blandest, most lackluster and least developed antagonist in the manga.

Also having read both translations I'd say the ending is just...Okay. Not good but not the worst.

Eto got YHWH'd in terms of what the fuck happened to her backstory. Still, we don't know if she's dead or not given the ending...

x2 To be honest only reason I don't label her as dead is all the constant fakeouts the last few chapters, previously a power only the Kirishimas had thanks to Plot Armor. Hell without her head as Owl she was pretty much Noro in how she wasbeing utilized till she regened her head back.

On the ending it also sounds like Hide wrote a Book on it, which is why he's the Narrator for the last chapter.

Considering how she nearly lost Naki I am not sure if she's entirely complaining.

What is more disappointing? This ending or Batman #50?

Batman, no fucking question.

Don't even read Batman but I bet it was worse.

Sitting on it I can say the ending I can take and accept even if it has a number of banal or inconsequential things I don't care for.

The journey to this chapter from the moment Furuta gained relevance Re just became unenjoyable for most of it. Which is why it doesn't feel like it earned its Earn Your Happy Ending.

Here’s my logic here.

What happened in Batman was shit sure, another black stain buuuut it happens to everyone hero who goes on for as long as he does while being written by writers of varying quality, they rack up a lot of black stains. It is another blemish on Batman’s record that in time (or when the writer of the current run leaves) will heal & eventually accept as something that just happened while looking forward for something generally better to happen.

What happens here in TG, that’s it, that’s the end, the finale, finito. What happens here you will remember forever & no matter how much you hope there will never be any improvement ever again. It’s pretty much done as is.
