Honestly speaking, I didn't think there was any problem with the female faces in Tag 2.

Neither did I, but they decided to creampuff them anyhow. It's really jarring with Leo, who looked one way until it was confirmed that she was female, then suddenly got these childlike eyes, pinkish lips, and notably more rotund cheeks.

I mean, look at Leo's render from her Tag 2 ending◊ and then look at her in Tekken Revolution◊, and tell me that the Revolution Leo isn't Leo's long-lost little sister.

You probably already know this, but Harada has been confirmed by his translator as a troll regarding the whole "Chloe is exclusive to JP/EU" thing.

It's amazing that he created such a character in the first place.

But she's there now, so either people will ignore her, chose not to buy the game because of her, or buy it and never use her (or beat her up at every opportunity).

Well ok, some will probably give her a try as well.

Well I'll certainly play the game one way or another and I'd be willing to give her a shot. Maybe she won't be as bad as everyone says. Maybe she can be edited to be awesome. Maybe she has a great or silly ending, or has a tag partner that makes it worth playing as her. Maybe.

Or maybe she'll just be the punching bag for my fave custom characters in place of, say, Ogre.

Tekken 7 ain't gonna have tag. That's for Tag Tournament.

You get the point I'm making though. We can threaten not to buy the game, boycott, riot, demand Cena instead of her, look for any fault at all to pick on. But let's be sensible for a moment. Did we stop playing Street Fighter because of Deejay? Watching Star Trek because of Pulaski? Why then can't Chloe be ignored in favour of someone else? Her inclusion is not really going to unleash Devil. Is it?

I never thought twice about not buying the game. Nor have I asked for her removal, though I wouldn't mind it if it happened (it won't happen). I'm just disappointed with the character, and I wish Harada would do a little better with his designs in the future. I kind of felt the same way with Lars and Alisa's introduction, and I was pretty much okay with the designs of the Tekken Tag 2 characters, but then there was Eliza, with her secret big-boob costume, and now Chloe, who is the most generic character I have ever seen grace the stages of Tekken.

Not you but reading some of the fan feedback I think it is overdone. Me personally I can think of a dozen characters that could be better...a good quality black for want of a better word woman in contrast to some noteworthy abrasive examples, a September 11 orphan, if Harada is a Sons fan an expy of one of the characters (wait we already have that with Jun playing Gemma lol,) or draw on the Ace Combat logos you could get in Tag 2 and have some type of crossover with the conflict going on. Maybe these ideas wouldn't work but if we're looking at character ideas and Chloe isn't working might another idea work?

However the good thing with some games, fighters being a good example, is that if a particular character is not to your liking they can be ignored. I highly doubt Chloe will factor into the plot much if at all. And much like something such as the GTA series and through playing the game, experimenting, you can find something that you don't like such as the implications in regards to escorts. You don't have to have anything to do with them, what can be done with them, unlike a early scene with Trevor or since we are discussing The Scrappy and you are watching your fave film or game and they show up. Some games, fighters being a good example, you don't have to play that part of the game. Hence why I think some of the outcry is over the top.

TL DR: I happen to hate Ogre, have Jun instead. Still bought Tekken 3 and enjoyed it. I thought there could have been more done with the first Tag. Still bought it and enjoyed it. I hated Heihachi in a nappy, still enjoyed Tekken 4. I thought the edit options in 5 were very limited, still think it was awesome they squeezed in the first three arcade games. Thought some of the expanded custom outfits were silly (and why can't they be in the ending movies so Julia looks like Lara in the Tomb Raider knock off?) Still bought 6 and Tag 2, love them. Chloe might be even worse than some fans think. Will she ruin the series like some fans are acting she will? You know I kind of doubt it.

So funny story:

I'd never actually watched Chloe's intro clip. I just did now.

She juggles people by break dancing. I don't really care about the rest of her deal, but that makes me chuckle, so I'll give her a chance.

And that's my two cents.

Given that Kazuya sill has that red eye, does that mean Jin thinking if Azazel bites, the Devil Gene goes away, isn't true? Therefore, would that mean Azazel is going to hijack Kazumi's corpse to be the final boss?

It would suck if everything Jin did in Tekken 6 was for nothing. I mean, no matter how far he's fallen, he likely feels genuinely guilty about all the harm he caused in order to defeat Azrael.

I mean, it's sad enough that he didn't even die (which was part of his plan) in order to end the Devil Gene, but to discover that it didn't even destroy or weaken anyone in his family at all?

Poor boy must be wallowing in shame.

Finally a design I can get on board with. I like that they toned it down a bit - first look was way too Assassin's Creed-esque.

But is he going to use that sword à la Yoshimitsu or is it just decoration? I'll be interested to see how he fights at the least.

I literally thought Siba was back for a new Virtua Fighter game when I saw Shaheen.

Also, I picked up TTT 2 on sale on XBL, and I have to say, I think I'd have a hard time getting back into the series. It just feels weird to me compared to 3D fighters with block buttons.

I need to ask too, but in the Tekken series, do the characters always keep their foot positions in the same place? I noticed that characters seems to never turn their backs unless they switch sides. I guess it's so "right" hand or leg attack is always actually the charcter's right side. In a way that's actually more realistic, but it just seems odd to have no closed or open stances. Soul Calibur does it too, but that's because they use weapons, so they kind of have to.

Kazumi is the boss of Tekken 7 and uses a tiger.

Well, if her Husband came have a damned bear......

Though he doesn't use it in his own battles.

Lucky Chloe and Shaheen off-screen walkthrough with Harada himself, getting in touch with his inner Pikachu.

I'm still very un-fond of Lucky Chloe, but Shaheen looks really great. The game seems to have seen some significant visual improvements since we last saw it. It's finally looking like a proper step up from Tekken Tag 2 and a step into the new generation. And who can ever get over Kazuya's sexy coat physics? Best I've seen in a video game to date.
