Yeah, but in that case he could tell her how her father or Margareth would feel, since they are, you know alive. Mentioning Veronica in this context is a bit out of place. Perhaps it wouldn't have felt so forced if he had reminded her of Veronica's sacrifice to ensure Elizabeth survival.

Griamor wasn't there for the entire saving-Elizabeth arc. Unless the next chapter reveals otherwise, he wouldn't have any idea what was going on about demon clan or the Sins' attack on the city or whether Elizabeth already met Margaret and the king. All he saw was Elizabeth trying to kill herself. Plus, just like you said, the main thing with Griamor is his obsession with Veronica. Given all of that, his words make perfect sense.

Meliodas is a troll but it was imposible he would let Ban kill him with Elizabeth kidnapped. Dreyfus and Griamor make a very balanced team (all attack with all defense) so they can at least rescue Elizabeth. I'm feeling a death flag for Dreyfus, though. Last, I'm happy Gustav probably will get more relevance in next chapters. I'm very curious about him.

Bit of trivia: In chapter 5 flashback Merlin says Zaratras is going to sold them because they broke the great DRUID altar. So, Nakaba had this "Hendricksen is a druid" thing planned all along? And Elizabeth can be one too, both of them have white hair and blue eyes and she seems to be the only person who can be sacrificed to bring the demon clan back...

My guess is that Hendricksen is just smug bastard and if he ever does actually release demon clan, he'd be insta killed and replaced by better villain
