Well, Namor is a water guy and Hercules does date Namora, seems appropriate.

To me it seems baffling Namor used to be Marvel's most popular character but has failed to catch on in the modern era. Born with the rage of the sea, he's super strong, he breathes under water, he flies, he destroys cities. What's not to like?

Basically, his slot as the super-strong city destroyer who rages against puny humans was taken by Hulk.

Reducing him to Reed and Sue's unwanted third wheel didn't help him either.
