The Monday Night Wars: A Professional Wrestling RP

The Monday Night Wars of the 1990's were an unprecedented period of greatness in the history of pro wrestling as both the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling competed for supremacy in the ratings and produced great matches and storylines. Joining them were two lesser-known, but still magnificent promotions of note, these were Extreme Championship Wrestling and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Together, these four promotions helped contribute to a second Golden Age of Professional Wrestling.

Sadly, by 2002, the Monday Night Wars were over, with WWE (formerly WWF) having bought all of their competitors. After that wrestling was never the same again.

But what if? What if we could go back and relive the legendary Monday Night Wars once more. From the NWO to the Attitude Era, and everything in between, it's time for us to relive the Monday Night Wars and witness this great era of wrestling for what it once was.

Alright, this is an RP based around Professional Wrestling and specifically the Monday Night Wars, which was considered a great era for the genre. It's set in an unspecified point during The '90s, or 199X.

Players create their own wrestlers and gimmicks, and can work for any of the following companies....

• World Wrestling Federation (WWF), run by Vince Mc Mahon
• World Championship Wrestling (WCW), run by Eric Bischoff
• Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), run by Paul Heyman
• Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW), run by Jim Cornette

Players can form their own stables as well or join pre-existing stables like the NWO, D-Generation X, The Ministry of Darkness, Raven's Flock, The Brood, The Gangstas, etc.

Famous wrestlers of The '90s are present as NPC's, but are not playable.

• All TV Tropes forum rules apply
• Players can have one character per promotion, leading to a maximum of four characters.
• Match outcomes are divided between Player vs. Player, or Player vs. NPC.
  • Player vs. Player is to be discussed between players and the GM's over PM before the match is posted, while Player vs. NPC is to be pre-determined by the GM.

• Name: Adrien Rek
• Promotion: ECW
• Alignment: Heel
• Gender: Male
• Age: 35
• Appearance: Adrien is 6,3. He's got a slight potbelly, but is otherwise well built. Weighing in a 240. He often wears a dirty white t-shirt, jeans, and brown sneakers, he has dirty, shoulder length brown hair and a greasy goatee.
• Gimmick: Adrien Rek is an utter psychopath, he's a firm believer in the fact that there are no heroes, and it just angers him whenever someone finds themselves to be heroic. Adrien is essentially a monster heel, taking obscene amounts of damage and being able to keep fighting, much in the manner of cactus Jack.

Here's my first character, a somewhat generic face who will develop into something deeper as the storyline goes one. He's something malleable in terms of character.

• Billed From: Charlottesville, Virginia
• Appearance: A thin, pale-looking Bishounen with black hair and green eyes. He wears a blue T-shirt and black trunks. He stands at 5'11" and weighs in at 170 lbs.
• Gimmick: A kind-hearted and innocent underdog who's a bit nerdy at times, but is an overall decent guy. Sammy Goodman has entered ECW to prove himself as a competent wrestler and achieve his dream of becoming a champion. He's a high-flyer and loves to entertain the crowd.

Hate to double-post, but I am going to make some wrestlers to add to this RP, one is a heel in SMW and the other is going to be in WWF, but I am unsure what his alignment or gimmick might be.
