Group of deputies wants Gorbachev investigated over Soviet break-up.
Above in the Guardian version.
Putin's war against Russia's last independent TV channel.
No discussion regarding nuclear war. As nuclear weapons are not being used by either side, nuclear war is off-topic.

The USA embassy posted a fucking bulletin warning their people to avoid large events in Russia. What did the Russian government think that meant?
Disgusted, but not surprised
It's also not unlikely that the US government did actually warn them directly and they're just lying about it again.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. That means those arrested at least used fake/stolen passports (if you mean Tajikistani government statements).

could be genuine miscommunication, happens to the US as well doesn't it?

Secret SignatureI think they ignored it b/c the USA is an enemy (plus, the bulletin was off on the actual date of attack, by a few weeks). That's their own fault, though.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThere was apparently another planned ISIS attack on a synagogue in Kaluga that the FSB managed to foil on the date that the US State Department originally warned about.
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)Mark Galeotti mentions that people he knows in Russian law enforcement/FSB are pissed that the Kremlin's pointing the finger at Kyiv while there's strong evidence of ISIK-K sympathizers doing the attacks, coupled with a large Russian black market for firearms.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"I didn't know ISIS picked fights with Russia.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. They've been running an insurgency in the North Caucasus for a decade now. Plus Russia is a partner of the Rahmon regime in Tajikistan and normalising relations with the Taliban in Afghanistan, both of which are IS-K's nemeses.

Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)Also, Syria. They probably put a bomb on a flight from Egypt over this.

Apropos Taliban, apparently both them and Hamas condemned the attack.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Don't know if it's already in the news in other countries. A torture video appeared where Russian security forces proudly torture one of the caught suspects (who also is seen in the ISIS video) and then cut his ear off (also on camera). It's like the Russians are insulted that someone is competing with them for acts of barbarism.
That's not the worst of it. Apparently, because all were wearing balaclavas, they cannot identify which cop cut off the ear. And, as a result, they are dropping the case who did it, basically allowing the culprit to go free.
I will become a great writer one day! Hopefully...Analysis on the so-called suspects arrested by the politsiya.
Kateryna Malofievieva said that even if there's clear evidence to ISIS, Moscow will "somehow" find ways to link Kyiv to them.
Well natch. Putin did claim they defeated ISIS years ago. So it has to be Kyiv.
Note that when he did speak about this, he only mentioned the suspects supposedly heading to Ukraine. He didn't mention ISIS.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSeeing some misinformation being played around by some peeps online where they post articles from 2019 where Ukraine arrested some Georgians for being involved with ISIS and they framed it as "after the shootings in Russia started".
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68663043
Putin now says ISIS is the culprit, but wants to put Kyiv in it.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"If it wasn't for the fact Russian people were saturated by brain-rotting propaganda for decades, I would question what's the purpose of these mental gymnastics to blame Ukraine and the West for ISIS attack.
I will become a great writer one day! Hopefully...Ever wonder the percentage of bullshit the high brass of Russia actually believes?
Wake me up at your own risk.FSB Director Nikolai Patrushev "said" that he read reports of the terrorists trying to flee to Ukraine.
PS - Patrushev knows Putin from their KGB days in Leningrad and some Russian watchers believe that he could be president in case something happens to Putin due to them being tight.
Minsk said that with "tight" border security in the Belarusian-Russian land border, only way for the terrorists to escape is to go to the Ukrainian land border...

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"A Putin toady reinforcing Putin's bullshit? That's a huge surprise. /sarc
Disgusted, but not surprisedhttps://twitter.com/sentdefender/status/1772665790300303455
Couldn't find it anywhere else (for now), but Patrushev says that the attack on the concert hall calls for retaliation and it can involve wiping out Ukrainian officials, including Budanov.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Surprised the anti imperialists arenβt calling out Russia for making shit up to justify more warfare after a terrorist attack.
Oh wait, I forgot it is only imperialism when the USA does it.
Disgusted, but not surprisedRussias knee-jerk anti-migrant rhetoric is probably going to bite them in a couple of months when harvest time rolls around.
Russian officials are saying "we didn't get the info from DC on a potential terror attack."
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"
