This appears to be a thing. In 2 days, they have developed multiple memes, and gotten Kotaku and Polygon coverage of the stream.

They're now trying to get through Rock Tunnel...again.

They got out... And went right back in.

They've finally arrived in Celadon! The current goal seems to be: Obtain Eevee. Let's see how long that takes.

Calling it one day

Hail lord Helix! I believe!

They've got Eevee and the badge, they're trying to buy a Water Stone but are failing miserably. They have lots of Poké Dolls, though, and a Fire Stone. Inb4 they evolve Eevs into Flareon right as they finally buy what they want.

Right now they're trying to get to the Day Care to drop off some Pokémon or another they don't want anymore.

Since the place is bookended to the north and south by ledges, it's... not going well.

Because of that, we lost Abby and Jay Leno.

Eevee has evolved into Flareon! Evidently, because my college's internet is too abominably shitty to tell!

Flareon will never replace Abby in our hearts.

In the Rocket Hideout now. The spinning tile part is going to be "fun".

They've tried like three times and are now just dicking around Celadon :I

Almost 60k watching.

Earlier on, we ran into a hiker on Route 9 with two Pokémon left and everyone panicked, resulting in multiple attempts to use the S.S. Ticket and "OAK: RED! This isn't the time to use that!" spam. I can only imagine a flustered eleven-year-old constantly thrusting a cruise ticket and a fossil in the general direction of a portly bearded mountaineer and his Geodude, hoping it will somehow do something.

We're now at 70,000+ people, commanding poor little Red through the spinning tiles in the Rocket Hideout. Maybe some progress will be made - Nope, nope, Red's just walking into a wall and opening the menu.

I also find the fact that the Helix is in the PC to be very displeasing.

We need Helix to return before things get any worse. I'm convinced it's Flareon. Everything went haywire after Eevee happened, and evolving it made things worse.

But we must stay strong.

We need our leader, the glorious HELIX to save us now. To bad someone put him in the PC

WE'VE RESCUED THE HELIX.

HE HAS RETURNED.

The quest may now continue.

BACK TO DICKING AROUND CELADON

This Eevee is really divisive. Kinda like those stories where there's an animal that's evil in some way and it splits people into arguing groups. It's like a story. A really frustrating story.

I hope the Helix Fossil will save us. But it's been so many hours and they're still stuck in Team Rocket HQ's spinny tiles. I bet they'll still be stuck there after I go to sleep and get up.

I think this is currently the most popular event thing happening on the internet right now. (Also, what's with the Korean girl copypasta I'm seeing briefly in chat?)

About 11 hours now.

I'll bet they'll spend tomorrow there as well
