The more I learn about Heroes in Crisis the more actively incensed I become over it. It should be a benchmark for addressing mental health in comic books and presenting it as healthy, and instead it's a spooky murder mystery where opening up to your trauma makes you evil or a pussy.

Thank god I can bury my head in all these old comics.

That's what I do these days. Currently reading Rucka's Wonder Woman. Good stuff.

Impulse gives me life. I have a box full of physical issues about 10 issues shy of a complete run, I'm buying the digital comic three issues a day, and I'm probably going to get the TPB when it comes out in August.

I am so happy that Bart Allen is back to himself in Young Justice. He's legitimately my favorite comic character.

By the way, is the Old Guy JSA back yet?

They also said that they learned their lessons from making everything dismal and gory and were moving the DCU into a brighter future.

I wonder just who it is with the giant Barry boner, anyway. As much as he gets blamed for it I'm actually pretty sure it's not Johns because we know he had plans for Wally that he had to scuttle due to the all-Barry-all-the-time policy.

There is a lot of issues with legacy in DC. Like, they create all those cool successors for their heroes, and then drag them through the dirt.

I just want to know who saw the boost in sales from the return of beloved legacy characters in more lighthearted fare and decided fuck that let's do Identity Crisis again.

I think nu GL Simon & Jessica are doing well.

It looks like JSA coming back is tied into Doomsday Clock, as Manhattan messing with time caused them to not exist.

Where is Geoff Johns in all this anyway? I thought he was like the Chief Creative Officer now or something.

Johns is a... hard man to get a read on. Him at his best and him at his worst could basically be two different writers, and I can never tell just how much influence he actually has or when he is or isn't getting jerked around by the higher-ups.

I was not happy with the cancellation of Titans making Kyle Rayner and Donna having no book either, i hope G. Willow Wilson uses Donna and we know Morrison is using Hal Jordan and not the other earth lantern in his run.

The good news is Dan Jurgens will takeover Nightwing from Scott Lobdell but the bad news they're going to continue Executive Meddling driven "Ric" grayson storyline as a mandated Dan Didio.

I mean let's be real honest this is tried to kill off Dick multiple times but was denied because sees him as one valuable to be killed off, I'm not putting King and Bendis as martyr either, he was the one who put Aqualad II and Tempest vanished by not in Aquaman books for no reason, He's the reason Roy's dead. Anytime bullshit happens to the legacy heroes in the past decade, his fingerprints have been all over it regardless of what writer gets scapegoated.

Remember that people accused Geoff Johns of hating Wally West despite writing him for a long time, Barry being brought back under Didio's watch, and Johns was the one who brought Wally back in Rebirth only for him to be killed when Johns lost power.

On that note, it was under Johns that Bruce and Selina and Arthur and Mera proposed. And DC as a whole seems to have completely dropped the latter like it never happened...

I always found it odd that people thought Johns hated Wally. He clearly had further plans for him that were sunk by the return of Barry.

How is Mera even considered queen of Atlantis when she and Arthur aren't married?
