@Strat: Fine, although I personally don't see what the problems are with this. What if instead of the one ring, it is simply the soul of some sod which has been injected into her? Sort of like a philosophers stone in Full Metal Alchemist. It won't affect her other than give her an extremely vague wish to become some sort of supervillain, being able to feel emotions and being able to remember things.

Warning: Lots of images. This one's a multi-feature, I hope you don't mind.

  • Name: Lord Wily

  • Real Name: Dr. Albert W. Wily, PhD.

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 57

  • Alignment: Villain

  • Appearance: Here. Wily is 5'7.

  • Personality: Though he is comical and at times cowardly, Lord Wily is an obvious super-villain, being ruthless and cunning at the same time all while possessing great power and a specific motif (in his case, a fascination with the macabre). Lord Wily fancies himself as Beacon City's proper leader, and genuinely believes that the city would be a utopia for the rest of the world to marvel—if only he could rebuild it in his image. But there is no doubt the scientist is also deranged: In his mind, if he can't rule Beacon City, there shouldn't be a Beacon City for anyone to live in, and he is not above committing acts of terrorism purely for his own amusement.

  • Abilities: Though he has no superhuman abilities to speak of, Lord Wily is a genius, having mastered various fields of science and earning many awards in his time.

  • Weapons/Equipment: Lord Wily has several vehicles to aid in his travel and to protect him from harm:

    • Wily's Spaceship: Lord Wily's main method of travel is a compact flying machine shaped like an alien UFO. Contrary to its name and appearance, the spaceship cannot actually enter or operate in space, but it does possess a tractor beam.

    • Wily Machine 4: Built after three previous, failed airship designs, Lord Wily's current "superweapon" is a skull-faced flying machine. The Wily Machine 4 has several features such as retractable arms, a tractor beam, ejectable seats, an escape pod, and the ability to fire laser beams from its mouth.

  • Possessions: Lord Wily fancies himself as Beacon City's ruler, and possesses a small but growing empire of machines and technology all made to assist in his takeover of the town:

    • Robot Army: Lord Wily possesses a growing force of sophisticated machines, 50 units and counting. Though half of the members of this robot army are harmless construction machines, the other half of his robots are designed for police and military service, and are equipped and built for combat.

    • Reggae: Lord Wily's pet. He's just a stupid bird.

  • Origin:

    • Originally born in Europe, Albert Wily moved to the United States and earned his citizenship in his youth, and quickly fell in love with his new home, Beacon City. In Beacon City, he earned his PhD in Electronic Engineering among several others, the silver prize at the World Technology Award, and a nominee for the Nobel Prize in Physics.

    • Some years later, Dr. Wily formed a laboratory in Beacon City with the ambition to use computer and electronic technology to benefit mankind in the coming era. Unfortunately, as he tried to unravel his brilliant new designs to the world, he was mocked and scorned, and in some cased, penalized, as the people of Beacon City feared that his revolutionary creations would cause unwanted changes in their lives.

    • On top of that, Dr. Wily found that his old friends/rivals Dr. Light and Dr. Cossack were gaining positive recognition for their work, while he was constantly being lambasted. Wily had already held an envy towards Light and Cossack, and he resented them as he felt they were not using their abilities to help mankind as much as they should have.

    • However, Dr. Wily pushed onward with his efforts to improve human life, which would prove to be a mistake: After revealing an advanced combat machine to the world, DWN-032, Dr. Wily ended up getting arrested and incarcerated in Beacon City after a string of mysterious events. In prison, Dr. Wily discovered that Dr. Light and Dr. Cossack also created machines like his: This made him snap.

    • When his prison term was done, Dr. Wily all but vanished off the face of the Earth, with many assuming he had passed away. In truth, the doctor had relocated to a secret laboratory underneath Beacon City after remodeling DWN-032. Now fancying himself as a 'Lord', Wily plots to take over his beloved Beacon City and perfect it into a technological utopia to prove to the world that he was right all along.

  • Name: Skull Man

  • Real Name: DWN-032

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: Less than a decade old.

  • Alignment: Villain

  • Appearance: Here. Skull Man is 5 feet.

  • Personality: Skull Man was programmed to be capable of independent thought and reasoning. In spite of this, he is completely obedient to Lord Wily as his bodyguard and second-in-command, to the point of feeling that he is Lord Wily's son. With this in mind, he is a good strategist, and is meticulous in his attention to detail—particularly with planning his combat methods. However, he tends to be socially awkward; often alienating others by acting in bad taste.

  • Powers: Skull Man was designed for military and bodyguard use, and has a wide array of weapons and defenses:

    • Skull Barrier: Skull Man's trademark ability is a set of six skull-like discs that appear from the mouth of his shoulders that create an electromagnetic field around himself. With the Skull Barrier active, Skull Man can stand still without worrying about avoiding attacks and taking damage, but a drawback is that his mobility is restricted while the barrier is in effect.

    • Busters: Skull Man has a buster hidden inside of his left and right radius.

    • Shotguns: Skull Man has sixteen shotguns hidden inside of his ribcage.

Weapons/Equipment:

  • Scythe: Skull Man sometimes keeps around a menacing scythe. Contrary to popular belief, scythes make poor weapons, and he isn't very good with it.

  • Origin':

    • Created during a period when Dr. Wily was unveiling new technologies to the world, Skull Man was originally a simple bodyguard robot with the designation DWN-032. Created with the ability to achieve independent thought and reasoning, DWN-032 was meant to be revolutionary. However, as DWN-032 was all too human, he could make very human mistakes: Soon after being revealed, DWN-032 ended up causing a series of events that ended with him being deactivated and Dr. Wily getting arrested.

    • Though he was meant to be scrapped, authorities took an interest in the deactivated DWN-032, and kept him so he could be experimented with later. When Dr. Wily was released from his term, he immediately found and rebuilt DWN-032 into Skull Man. Skull Man now aids Dr. Wily in his quest to rule Beacon City, as his bodyguard and second-in-command.

@Joergen: Okay. That sounds more interesting. Edit your sheet and it's accepted.

@Raineh Daze: Aaaah. Now that makes sense. Sorta. Kinda. I still have some questions, but they're minor ones. Accepted.

@Ud: Okay, I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to say no. I have many problems with your origin and your sheet, but all of them pale in comparison to my biggest problem: there is no way in all of existence that an island with humanoid animals would remain secluded from the human world (especially during the Cold War) and there's no way that things would remain the same if people found out humanoid animals actually exist. In fact, I doubt any of the people on that island would be allowed to take two steps off the island without being suddenly captured by men in black. If you see the characters that have been accepted, even the weird ones are humanoid and wouldn't raise any flags from governments around the world. I suggest you choose a new character.

@Tails Doll: Come on in, baby doll, you're accepted.

there is no way in all of existence that an island with humanoid animals would remain secluded from the human world (especially during the Cold War)

Well, quite right. It'd be completely implausible to shield such a community away from the world. Almost as implausible as hiding away an island of immortal grecian women, a kingdom of superhumans in the himalayas, an african city of talking gorillas, or an land of dinosaurs somewhere in the vicinity of the south pole.

In all fairness, there might be other, more clear cut ways for Sonic to get his powers and appearance. But there's just so much potential for other anthropomorphic characters in this game. 'specially since I brought Disney into the mix.

Name: tipsyGnostalgic (screen name)
Real Name: Roxy Lalonde
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Alignment: Heroic
Appearance: Civilian wear, unusually cartoonish SKAIA wear that doubles as a disguise.

Personality:

Roxy's defined by an almost dissonantly upbeat, though not necessarily can-do spirit that is impossible to dominate, capable of almost flippant cheerfulness and irreverence in the face of the most soul crushing situations, and she's genuinely always capable of being positive, no such thing as being a Stepford Smiler for her. She complains, rather bluntly, when things are going wrong, but with the sort of tone that indicates good humored acceptance versus displeasure, and a full blown rage is rare as rain in a desert. She's far from stupid though, she has a good head on her shoulders and even when she's being flirtatious and cracking jokes she's keen on her environment and knows when it's time to fight or run. Her heart is unquestionably strong and typically in the right place, though she can often irk and even accidentally hurt others with impulsive and blunt behavior, the last thing she would want to do is hurt the innocent or those she considers precious.

She's both clever and unquestionably brilliant, handling incredibly complex subject matter with ease even if it's not initially her forte. In keeping with her good humor, she rarely gets arrogant about her talents and simply uses them as best she can for the situation at hand. She's cheeky though, typically to the point of 'too much', especially considering her tendencies towards bluntness. She's a heavy drinker, though she's a relatively low impact drunk who simply becomes significantly boisterous in her interactions with others. Even when inebriated she's quite clever, which is a good thing, because she would otherwise be stupid most of her waking moments.

She pursues science as a hobby, in the sense that cutting edge research happens daily in her apartment, for funsies. She often treats life like a science, and strongly adheres to the idea of 'proven till disproven', being far from a skeptic. She's oft paranoid and is a bit of s conspiracy theorist because of this, her history being what it is. A notable pleasure for her beyond typical teenage idle amusements is magic, she virtually fetishizes the occult and seeks to learn more about it even though her own magical abilities are strictly nonexistent.

Powers:

The circumstances of her development left Roxy with very powerful mental defenses, a brain biologically and cybernetically enhanced to protect it from almost all forms of interference. Controlling her or altering her mind in any fashion is impossible for anybody except herself, even simply reading her mind would take Herculean expenditures of effort. This protected brain is why she's so coherent when drunk, she is shielded from even natural substances like alcohol and hallucinogens.

The other superpower she was endowed with is the theoretically incredibly useful ability to spontaneously synthesize matter within a reasonable volume, up to roughly the size of an SUV in any physically possible form. She could create crates of ammunition, obscuring dust clouds, guns, bombs, food, even more dangerous and exotic things within the size limit. However this particular power was implanted into her with a very specific control valve: monitoring her intent by tracking the movements of her neurotransmitters, the power can only properly activate if it's activation is not intended to benefit her directly. In short, usage of this power must be done for the exclusive sake of others. Between this condition and a general inability to firmly understand how to make the power work, it's something she rarely uses and usually bungles when she tries.

Abilities:

The most directly applicable extension of her braininess is a penchant for very high level hacking, with the necessary equipment and know how to make complex data heists possible, in real time as well, as she's quick as she is stealthy when it comes to dancing around villainous mainframe defenses and the like.

She's trained herself martially, while she's not the most formidable in direct combat in contrast to most of her peers she can at least protect herself with a proficient gun and good aim and some basic boxing skills.
Weapons/Equipment: Roxy always carries her phone, a souped up (not to mention cutely decorated) smartphone with enough juice to do basic hack jobs, and a concealed loaded semi-automatic stuffed on he stocking so that the drape of her skirt hides it. When she knows she's going on a big job she'll bring a backpack (of some arbitrarily high level of girliness) and pack a high-impact disassembled rifle and a beefy laptop with all necessary programs for hacking of her caliber installed.
Posessions: She only makes enough to scrape by though dubious internet activity in the business of working with stolen data (girls gotta eat, as long as they aren't gangs or whatever), and lives in a shitty apartment uptown with all sorts of rare equipment of varying levels of usefulness stolen from her original home, along with her most prized pet, the aberrant cat Mutini, stolen also from the lab she once called home.
Origin:

Roughly two decades ago a conglomerate of mad geniuses formed a syndicate called SKAIA, a secretive organization dedicated to the mantra of 'progress at all costs', undertaking ethically and morally dubious experimentation independent of external forces like criminal elements or the government. One of their larger projects was the Sburb Experiment, wherein toddlers from around the globe were kidnapped through the black market and trafficked to underground isolation units near Beacon City equipped by SKAIA. These cells were equipped to theoretically maximize the potential development of the children within, to test the process of human development and ideas of how to create the 'ideal' human.

Roxy had been born to average citizens of Beacon City, and was one of the many children kidnapped by SKAIA for the Sburb Experiments. Her cell was one designed to maximize the development of potential in science and mathematics, heavily guarded, impossible to escape from, almost totally isolated from the outside. Besides a few faceless white coats acting as overseers from behind glass windows, Roxy was totally alone for all of her growth. As can be expected from such harsh development conditions, Sburb was an almost total failure, with only a handful of children with particularly adaptive personalities such as Roxy even surviving, let alone developing the proper skills.

Roxy and the few children who survived and developed the skills intended by Sburb were, in their preteen years, subject to a new experiment of SKAIA, the attempt to produce superhuman powers in those who seemed to have no natural aptitude for it through cybernetic, biotechnical, and magical intervention. Roxy was chosen for the VOID Protocol, and through many a dry humored session her mental immunities were granted to her, along with the experimental matter generation powers. However, she had no weapons, her powers were weird and hard to work with, and the guards on her were tightened as she was now a rare and valuable asset for SKAIA. Her first act of disobedience was a subtle change to the automated diet she was provided, though she had the misfortunate to accidentally change her designated water rations to wine, the beginnings of her alcohol dependence. Though she was now old enough to properly entertain the thought of a coordinated escape, it was impossible, and she was content to continue to bide her time.

Her chance came with the dissolution of SKAIA under mysterious circumstances, blank checks from unknown backers withdrawn and the scientists either vanishing outright or winding up dead under dubious circumstances. No SKAIA meant no guards, no observation, and Roxy wasted no time in hacking her way out with the extensive knowledge being sealed into what was essentially an optimized research lab all her life had granted her. She couldn't be sure of what had happened to her captors, so she determined it was best to disappear.

She returned to Beacon City, ironically to her home, though of course she couldn't know this as most data concerning her was fully lost. She had no idea what she had truly been, what the purpose of her powers was. She didn't care. She simply wanted to live, and live she did, as she got involved in petty crime with her talents to pay her way into a home, some weapons and training for self defense.

Roxy currently has no association with any actual heroic or villainous elements, she is simply an anonymous name online that happens to have some excellent services to provide to highest bidder, with some scruples.

Trying this out. Taking a GITS character, but trying to make it sound workable in this RP.

  • Name: Pazu
  • Real Name: Unknown.
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Early 30s.
  • Alignment: Anti-Hero
  • Appearance: Here
  • Personality: Mostly keeps to himself, but is willing to act alone and do things that may be seem questionable to most heroes since he operates under the assumption that not everything is equally black and white. Pazu enjoys smoking a cigarette or two when he's taking a break.
  • Powers: Good in close quarters combat with a specialization in knife combat. Can also handle firearms and enough computer expertise to do hacking. Pazu is also familiar with interrogation tactics and on resisting said tactics, even while under duress.
  • Weapons/Equipment: A hi-tech wrist computer with retractable cables on for hacking or for downloading/uploading files (Kinda like the one Johnny Sasaki used in Metal Gear Solid 4). Also carries a sidearm usually, but he can easily take whatever firearm is available. He has a pair of shock gloves that functions like combat gloves, except with the capability to tazing someone to knock him or her out cold. Is armed with dual combat knives, stored on sheaths and carried covertly on himself.
  • Possessions: Has a wallet with American dollars (with a few currencies if needed) and a few name cards. Also possesses a couple of safehouses with four vehicles acquired through his underworld contacts he made in the years prior and after being a private contractor. Pazu's sidearm is kept in a holster hidden at his waistband. He plans on getting more safehouses and vehicles at the present.
  • Origin: No one knows what he did prior to settling in Beacon City. Some say that he was just a yakuza gangster trying to go legi after a change of heart. Others have said that he was an ex-military police officer in the army who went undercover to stop criminals and rogue soldiers from undermining the institution. And a few whispers say that he's a deep cover agent for the local police and public security departments, who now doesn't remember his own name. Whatever his origin is, Pazu can easily get the job done if and when needed through brute force and intimidation. For reasons unknown, he became a private contractor to help out those who need his assistance if he or she can't use the police or other law enforcement agencies for fear of getting into trouble with various criminal elements, including terrorists.

@Strat: A place that is secluded and isolated does not necessarily mean its hidden. South Island's existence has always been known to the outside world, its just that to the general population its a tiny little country no one's ever heard about, especially with such a generic name like "South Island". I also stated that South Island is the last Mobian settlement to have an open door policy to the rest of the world, meaning I'm implying there were other similar settlements in the past. I was thinking Mobians being discovered in the past and managed to integrate with humanity during the past two or three centuries to the point where few humans find it strange to see anthropomorphic bunnies and squirrels sharing office space with normal humans. There's still some blatant racism however, humans still far outnumber Mobians 10 to 1, and there are still instances of this happening:

Visitor: DUDE, there's giant talking alligator at the front desk!!
Security Guard: There is?! *goes to front desk* Agnes, did you see a giant talking alligator around here?
Agnes the Alligator: No, I haven't seen anything like that. I'll be sure to call the police later.

  • Name/Real Name: Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 35
  • Alignment: Anti Hero
  • Appearance: [1]
  • Personality: A constant wisecracker who does not play well with authority but who will always be there to help those in need. Fiercely loyal to his friends he considers himself Beacon City's protector against all evil things magical although he's not above fighting more mundane evils as well. He also has a practical streak when it comes to combat. He's not afraid to just plain shoot the bad guy if it comes to that.
  • Powers: A complete list of all the spells he's used in the series would merit it's own page so I decided to limit him to those he uses constantly. Powers based on his magical knowledge I'll put under abilities. With G Ms permission I'll add more as the series progresses.
    • Flickum Bickus: Used to light small fires like candles. The magical equivalent of a cigarette lighter.
    • Forzare: This is basically force beam, a push or punch. By himself he can knock down a normal door or throw an average person across a 20 foot room. With his staff (see below) he can overturn a small truck or push in a bank vault. The staff also allows him more versatile use.
    • Fuego: Your basic fireball spell. By himself it's about the size of a basketball. Using his staff he can expand it up to about 10 feet in diameter. The staff also lets him steer it.
    • Nullius: In the series this was an inherent ability he couldn't turn off. I decided to give it to him as a spell. It's basically a magical EMP which disrupts electronics. by himself it's a field effect. The staff allows him to concentrate it on a sigle object
    • Ventas Servitas: Creates a wind, a stiff breeze by himself, gale force with his staff.
  • Abilities: Harry has a pretty decent deductive skills and grasp mof how people think. he's also a decent, if not great show, the same with a sword. He is however very good with a quarterstaff. He's also well versed in magical lore and alchemy which is why he has so many magical weapons listed below.
  • Equpiment:
    • Duster: He has a longcoat which he's enchanted to act as armor, equivalent to kevlar or chainmail
    • Staff: He carries a six foot staff that expands and refines his spells as stated above. he also uses it to whack things. Since it's a magic staff it works against creatures that might be unaffected by normal weapons
    • Blasting Rod: Shoots a concentrated beam of magical energy. Think of it as a magical laser rifle.
    • Shield Bracelet: Creates a magical forcefield but not all surrounding. Essentially, a shield is how it acts although it will protect him from head to toe on the side it's protecting.
    • Silver Knuckles: Decided to give him these instead of the rings he uses for stylistic reasons. Looks like brass knuckle only made of silver. Basically acts like the Forzare spell but without using his personal energy. The power will run down over usage though.
    • Sword Cane: Enchanted sword cane that can affect magical creatures.
    • Bob: Bob is a knowledge daemon housed in an enchanted skull that is basically a magical library. He's also a pervert.
    • Office: A seedy one room office out of which he operates his detective agency
    • Apartment: A cellar apartment which has a sub-cellar that contains his magical lab
    • The Blue Beetle: A neon-blue Volkswagon Beetle.
  • Origin: Harry was born of a Margaret LeFay, a witch and a normal human stage magician, Malcolm Dresden. His mother died in child birth and his father when he was six. He spent four years as an orphan until his powers started to manifest and he was adopted by Justin DuMorne a renegade wizard. He fell in love with the wizards other apprentice, Elaine Mallory and they made plans to flee but were caught. He made a pact with the Leanansidhe a noblewoman of the Fae's Winter Court to get enough power to defeat his master who he thought died in the battle. His lover was caught int the middle of the fight and he thought she died too. Afterwards he spent his time on the street earning a living doing odd jobs and occasionally petty crime until he caught the interest of Nicholas Christian, a local PI who took him under his wing. During this time he was also discovered by the White Council, the governing body of wizardry who were going to sentence him to death but were persuaded to put him under the Doom of Damocles, which is basically a "one more chance and don't blow it because it's your only chance" clause. He was also put under the tutalge of Ebenezar [Mc Coy], who he later found out was the Council's Blackstaff, their Black Ops specialist.

Recently after getting his license and being a detective for two years he discovered that both his former mentor and his former lover were alive. Long story short this time he made sure DuMorne was dead. He and former lover parted ways. He has also been recently hired by the Beacon City Police as a freelance consultant on the wave of weird shit and super powered individuals who have cropped up of late.

Name: The Spider

Personality: Richard Wentworth IV is a wealthy playboy who enjoys going to parties, giving money to charities, and dabbling in amateur criminology. His acquaintances often bemoan him not putting his keen mind to work on criminology full-time, instead frittering away his time in idle pursuits.
  • The Spider, on the other hand, is a merciless, tireless opponent of the criminal element. He loves justice, and protects the innocent—by killing criminals. Since he discovered his apparent immortality, the Spider finds it hard to open himself to new strong connections—everyone he has ever loved or cared for has died (some thankfully of old age.) He is ruthless when dealing with lawbreakers, and has a will of iron, only stopping when his body gives out.
  • Powers: The Spider cannot die. No matter how severe the injuries he’s sustained are, no matter how dead he looks, if you take your eyes off the corpse for a moment, it will disappear, and the Spider will arrive at a safe location to heal completely. He does not, however, heal that much faster than a normal human, so he is often laid up for days or weeks. He does not know the source of this ability, and it does not show up on any known power detector.
  • Abilities Physically, the Spider is a a human man in prime physical condition, but without superhuman capabilities. He’s also quite intelligent and a good detective. With nearly a century of crimefighting experience under his belt, the Spider is trained in modern firearms, fencing and knifefighting, and a particularly vicious brand of streetfighting. He’s an expert lockpick and escape artist, master of disguise, and a financial whiz.
    • While the Spider’s primary prey is non-powered crimelords and gangsters, he has had to deal with various superpowered criminals over the years. The Spider has fought wizards, mutants, benders, more than one kind of undead, and killed them all. Also an Egyptian god. (Okay, he was probably really just a demi-god like Percy, and it took the Spider four separate tries and some serious military hardware to do it. The point is that he has “godslayer” on his resume.) The Spider is just really good at killing things.
  • Weapons/Equipment: As Richard Wentworth is very wealthy, he can usually purchase any specialized equipment he might need for a particular take-down. What he normally carries includes two large-caliber pistols, with plenty of extra ammo, a combat knife, disguise kit, burglary tools, a swingline, a couple of smoke bombs and tear gas. He generally does not bother with body armor, but may wear it if he’s up against a particularly dangerous opponent.
  • Possessions: Richard Wentworth IV is quite wealthy, though not to the level of Bruce Wayne or Lex Luthor. There’s no Wentworth Industries, just a diversified portfolio of investments numbering in the high millions. He maintains a fortified penthouse apartnent with a secret forensic laboratory, as well as several other apartments under assumed names for safehouses and disguise changes. He has several cars, ranging from a security limo to a couple of old junkers, and a private jet. He also has an extensive armory of weapons stashed in various places.
    • Not possessions as such, but The Spider also has a small group of associates who are aware of his double identity (but not that he’s the original Spider.) These are all people who the Spider saved from criminals and pledged loyalty to him. Their official titles are things like chauffer or personal assistant, but their primary purpose is facilitating his crimefighting activities.
  • Origin: Richard Wentworth was the son of a wealthy attorney (from old money) and grew up with some very firm views on justice and the proper distribution thereof. When America entered World War One, he volunteered for the Army Air Corps, and rose to the rank of major. After the war, Dick found himself at loose ends, and toured about, learning many of the skills he would later use as the Spider.
    • Prohibition caused an upswing in organized crime in the United States, and the onset of the Great Depression didn’t help either. Wentworth saw how criminals flouted the law, suborning the justice system and corrupting politicians. Even from his place of privilege, he could see how badly the little people of New York were suffering. He came up with a plan. He would wear a disguise and use his skills to track down “supercriminals” and kill them. For reasons that remain a mystery, he chose the moniker Spider and the Spider mark he leaves on criminals to show his presence.
    • This continued through the 1930 s, although by the end of that period, other costumed vigilantes, some actual superheroes, had joined the fight. The Spider began concentrating on foreign spies and saboteuts as World War Two drew closer. In 1943, the Spider found himself trapped by a particularly clever Nazi spy ring and flung into a flamethrower deathtrap. With 3rd degree burns over 90% of his body, the Spider was barely able to drag himself back to his beloved Nita van Sloan. Two months later, Richard Wentworth was completely healed, and the regrown skin actually looked younger than it had before. Even the Spider could no longer deny that something strange was going on, and took a hiatus from crimefighting to investigate this matter. (Captain America had managed to capture the spies in the meantime.)
    • By 1947, The Spider found himself no closer to an answer to his mysterious condition, so returned to crimefighting, this time in Chicago. He adopted the practice of switching cities every few years, and the periodic faked death. Richard Wentworth IV moved to Beacon City about a year and a half ago, spencing most of his time since preparing for a blitz on crime as the Spider. Now he’s ready to begin.

  • Name: The No More Hero, formerly The Crownless King
  • Real Name: Travis Touchdown
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 30
  • Alignment: Anti-hero
  • Appearance: This arsehole
  • Personality: While punkish and immature when in a fight if he’s pushed to it, he’s usually rather normal and decent in the day-by-day even if streaks of immaturity show up from time to time. Has a worldly and experienced air around him as if he was a man that has seen much, maybe has even become a bit jaded. For him killing isn’t what it used to be, which is he’s willing and almost always cold about it, as the lives and experiences of his slain foes can touch him on an emotional level, but it needs to be vital, necessary. He has come to have honor and respect for those who are true warriors. A rather determinate man and very driven to prove himself, is shown to be highly knowledgeable and a slow learner, and can be surprisingly funny and even humorous. Touchdown takes his friendships very seriously as well, as evidenced by his quest to avenge the murder of Bishop Shidux, after which he seems to learn something about the repercussions that death has on others aside from the one being killed. It also comes to note that Travis is an otaku and is a rather big fan of the series Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly, and related merchandise
  • Powers:
    • Above-average resilience: Not invulnerable by any means but stronger than what you may expect
    • Dark Side Mode: Push him to the extreme and you’ll make him snap into this rage fueled state, in which his speed, strength and resilience shoot up for short time lapse, during it he becomes cruel and sadistic with the poor idiot that triggered it and whoever else might be in the immediate vicinity
  • Abilities
    • Hand-to-hand combat: A veritable savant, Travis was trained by his mentor Thunder Ryu, in the art of the sword and wresling, as well as correspondence tapes and old wrestling recordings to round things off. This has resulted in an odd, grungy yet effective fighting style.
    • Memories of Lolikov: Later, during his first year in the UAA he encountered Lolikov, the town drunk who taught him his “memories” a series of stances and techniques that improved Travis’ abilities
      • 1st memory: Stance of Beauty: a particular breath rhythm and position makes Travis become more aware and alert to his opponents movements and position, as well as his surroundings.
      • 2nd memory: Stance of Love: Stance designed solely to defend against ranged foes.
      • 3rd memory: Stance of Bizarre: This one sacrifices defense for speed and mobility on land.
      • 4th memory: Stance of God: sheathing the blade, the stance resembles one for battoujustu. It harnesses the Dark Mode and uses it in a few controlled seconds, Travis has come to call this Dark Step
      • 5th memory: Stance of Afinity: Again with a sheathed blade this stance exploits Travis’ skill in wrestling and unarmed combat while using the blade to help with the grappling
      • 6th memory: Stance of Mystery: A defensive stance meant to counter and deflect blows at close combat
      • 7th memory: Technique of Crazy Awesomeness: Again mobility and agility are exploited yet here it explodes in one particularly devastating downwards slash from mid-air
  • Weapons/Equipment:
    • Blood Berry: A wakizashi with a floral pattern of small five petal flowers on the sheath and red leather on the handle. His first blade, a gift from Thunder Ryu.
    • Tsubaki the First: The first of three sister swords, a katana of a durable construction with white leather on the handle and a white sheath. Broken during the battle with Jeanne.
    • Tsubaki the Second: A weapon with a lengthened handle and a blade coming out of each end and facing opposite sides, its design requiring finesse to wield properly. Broken during the battle with Jeanne.
    • Tsubaki the Third: Reformed from Thunder Ryu’s broken sword it has a white sheath with green details, a golden colored guard in the form of the kanji for tiger and white leather on the handle. Travis’ first “true blade” being lighter and more resistant than all previous blades, besides the emotional value it has. Damaged in the battle against Henry
    • Peony: a long heavy Nodachi, both the sheath and are back with a tinges of red and a circular guard with a design resembling the flower of a peony.
    • Rose Nasty: Inherited from Bishop to Travis as part of his will, they are a pair of wakizashi in bright rose red sheathes and similar colored leather, they have no hand guard extremely light and extremely sharp.
  • Posessions: An apartment on the lower end of town, everything within it, his cat; Jeanne and his modified bike; Shpeltiger.
  • Origin:
    • Childhood: The three siblings, Travis, his older twin Henry, and their little sister Jeanne were orphaned at a really early age when their parent got caught in a train accident. They were split by three friends of the couple. Travis taken in by a former yakuza now wrestler called Thunder Ryu. They subsequently moved from Travis’ original home in Calgary to Santa Destroy, California. Here Ryu sets up a Gym on the first floor of the two-story building they call home. Travis starts receiving training in the art of the blade and wrestling. Around this time he also befriended Bishop Shidux, son of a local video store owner, who introduces Travis to anime and initiates him as an otaku. In his teenage years he began to have a rebellious streak to Ryu’s stern parenting. It also was when Travis’ Dark Side began to manifest. Ryu used his training to curve his nature away from it, but by the end of the training he wasn’t sure he had accomplished it or not. In any case Travis completed his training in a duel against his mentor at the age of 18, resulting in him earning Blood Berry.
    • Early adulthood: After finishing school Travis moved out of Ryu’s house and got himself an apartment, started doing odd jobs around town to pay the bills. Some years later he picked up a stray kitty, called her Jeanne, he always liked the name. He also ended up meeting Naomi, a sword-smith that moved into town, an old friend of Ryu.
    • First year in the UAA: It all started for a woman. Her name? Sylvia Christel. Travis met her in a bar, and wasted what was left of his money in drinks for her, as she strung him along. He eventually ran out of money and he got a bit desperate, so he looked for a job. The gig? Killing “The Drifter”. Once that it was all said and done the Scandinavian woman arrived, informing him that by killing that man he had become the 11th ranked hitman of the United Assassins Association. His ambition sparked by the promise of money, fame and sex, Travis began the bloody road to first rank. On the way he battled Shinobu, the 8th rank, who he spared, mostly out of unease of killing women. The girl, however, began looking up at him as a master. Then he would meet the town drunk; Randall Lolikov; who would become his second mentor. While his requirements for training and methods were unorthodox to say the least, they were effective.

Later he would meet Henry, his estranged twin brother, who stole the kill of the 5th rank; Letz Shake, sparking a rivalry. However, a major turning point would come when the first true manifestation of the Dark Side occurred. Ryu had long since been informed about Travis’ quest, but never had interfered to this point, the battle with Speed Buster, who he feared would kill Tavis, as he had fought her before and knew of her power, to the point that in her time in the UAA she had reduced her home of Speed City to ruins . He went ahead and attempted to fight her so his son wouldn’t die an untimely death, only to be killed and have his sword shatter before Travis eyes. This made him snap and he slaughtered the woman. Ryu’s spirit hanged by, continuing to guide and train Travis.

Time came and Travis neared the final battle for the first rank; an impressive martial artist by the name of Jeanne. Before the fight Sylvia would call him, and express her concern, unlike the rest of the matches in which she only taunted him. The battle was long and grueling, Tsubaki the First and Second destroyed in the process. But in the end Jeanne laid defeated, asking Travis to end the life of suffering she had lead, and tell his two big brothers that she had died. Travis, connecting the dots accepts his sister’s last wish and kills her. Henry tracks him down days later to save him from an assassination and changes him for the 1st rank. This would result in a long battle that even manages to damage Tsubaki the Third, that Sylvia brakes up before they can finish, to the dissatisfaction of both brothers

  • Hiatus: Three years pass and despite Touchdown having withdrawn from the ranks of the UAA, Santa Destroy continues recognizing him as a hero, thanks to whom the city "has never been safer," even erecting a statue in his honor. It is during this time that Touchdown and his friends become targeted by members of the Mafia.
  • Second Year in the UAA: Mentor Randall Lovikov is slain, and after a preliminary Ranking Battle against Skelter Helter, Touchdown's best friend Bishop Shidux's death follows. Touchdown fixates himself on reassuming first rank in the UAA to both avenge his friend and claim Christel once and for all. During this process the repercussions of his assassinations begin, as well as the killing itself begin to wear on him and change his mind set on the whole ordeal. Touchdown slays Jasper Batt Jr, with the help of Henry, and once again snapping into Dark Side, the wealthy entrepreneur responsible for the deaths, and sometime afterward, locates Christel where she presumably disappeared to work in a brothel. The two rekindle their relationship and return to Santa Destroy.
  • Currently: Sylvia, now divorced from Henry and married to Travis, informs him that while the main UAA branch is indeed dismantled, splinter groups still remain all over the country, which leads finally leads Travis to Beacon City, where the last splinter group of the UAA exists in the underground.

It'd be completely implausible to shield such a community away from the world. Almost as implausible as hiding away an island of immortal grecian women, a kingdom of superhumans in the himalayas, an african city of talking gorillas, or an land of dinosaurs somewhere in the vicinity of the south pole.

Yes, but, here's the thing. Immortal grecian women and a kingdom of superhumans? Not anthropomorphic animals. As for the other three, not a thing in the Beacon universe. Yet. I am still against Sonic, because, again, there's just no way that anthropomorphic animals would have managed to be integrated into mankind, especially during the past- a time where protests to gain civil rights were a thing. What makes you think that a group of people who took centuries to accept black people are just gonna go 'oh ho ho, talking blue hedgehog with human features and clothes? come on in!"

In the end, a race of anthropomorphic animals would not have been able to be included into mankind or remained isolated. Even in the not-quite-silly-not-quite-dark atmosphere I'm going for this RP.

But fine, taking that off the table... I just find the whole idea of adding Sonic and friends stupid. Say whatever you want about how we have a storm spirit and a guy who can create robots, but here's the thing. All of those other characters can be taken seriously. If you try to take Sonic characters with the same level of seriousness you take the other characters on the accepted list, you know what you get? Sonic '06. Or even worse, Shadow the Hedgehog. -shudders-

I just don't like the idea, and considering what I have planned for the RP, I don't really want Sonic in there. Sorry, Ud, please try another character.

@Raineh Daze: Those questions were not important, anyway.

@Katsuun: Accepted.

@Tricksen: I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to say no. It's just that your character's story introduced too much into the Beacon universe and doesn't really adapt anything to it. Besides, again, I don't think the world would have gone unchanged after this big war where millions of people died.

@Ominae: Accepted.

@tricksterson: Waiting for origin.

@SKJAM: Accepted. I liked that origin story. smile

@sanojutsu: Still waiting for the origin. (but you're always accepted in my heart, toots)
